I've been to other laser hair removal clinics and the speed and lack of detail was disappointing. I highly recommend DermaLuxe. If you can tolerate some laser pain, this is great. The cooling tip on the laser helps a lot, and some sensitive areas I use numbing cream, but overall, it's not a bad experience. Less painful than waxing for sure.

Foot massage (2/5) I'm basing this on deep foot massages I have had in the past. The deeper the better. I'd give their approach to a foot massage a 5 if you're just expecting light application of massive amounts of fragrant creams and ever so gentle, light rubbing in a pleasant setting. I sat beside a good friend and we chatted while she had a pedi and the staff allowed me to stay longer because her procedure was longer and the room wasn't needed. I felt that was kind. Where things went off the rails and why my review plummets was due to the communication I received from this place after my review. I had expressed 2 levels of disappointment with their foot massage . First is wasn't 'deep' despite the description of 'deep rhythmic massage' on their website and second because the esthetician maintained a very light pressure after I twice told her should could go much deeper. The 'deep, rhythmic massage' never happened. They sent me an email asking me to change the review, blaming my disappointment on my misinterpretation of 'deep rhythmic foot massage' and explaining that of course it meant was 'deeply relaxing'. They said a lot of other stuff, but the result is that I feel gaslit and feel they were trying to shame me for giving an honest review. They have now updated the website to eliminate the wording of 'deep rhythmic' from their foot massage description. I have a screenshot of that earlier version. So, I have in fact changed my review from a 3 to a one and would give them a zero for customer service if I could. No customer should be made to feel this way.

I had PDO threads put in my forehead…read moreto raise my eyebrows last Friday, and the practitioner, Amy, was lovely, but unfortunately my brows had dropped back down to their natural position by the time I got home from my appointment. To say that I am disappointed, is a massive understatement. I paid around $850 for 7 threads and there is no visible difference in my brows before and after. I am a student to top that off, so I had to save for this procedure. I called their office back as soon as I got home from the appointment and explained the situation for them and Amy was able to see me the Monday after. She massaged my forehead to "engage the threads" but that made no difference either. I explained to Amy at my second appointment that I was only staying in Ottawa for one more week, so this had to be fixed before I left. She told me she would call me back to schedule it for Wednesday but I never heard back from them, so I called them at 9 am on Wednesday and the receptionist told me that there was no appointment for me on the schedule but she was able to squeeze me in at 2:20 pm. I showed up to the office at that time and it turns out that they did not schedule me in, so the receptionist asked me to wait 15 minutes in the car, and then Amy would have a chat with me. What an absolute clusterfuck. It turns out that the nurse practitioner would not allow any more threads to be put in within that timeframe due to liability issues. I am so incredibly disappointed because I spent so much money on this and did not have any visible results. I expressed my disappointment to Amy but was not offered any refunds or anything. I think the only reasonable thing for their clinic to have done is to offer me a refund for this service because it was so poorly done. There should have been more threads put in and they should have been more barbed to accommodate for the tension in the forehead.
