I saw a post on IG for eyelash extensions for $55 for a new set. I couldn't believe my eyes-- so I booked it. The technician was super friendly but was kinda fresh to the lash game. I thought it wouldn't be an issue until after the 3 hour application, most of the lashes would not adhere. She apologized profusely and offered a fill for the next available day--which would be about 2 days later. By the time of my appointment, I had so few lashes extensions left that the process to refill took about 3 hours again. And they fell off about a week later. Atmosphere-wise the space has potential. It was pretty bare when I was there (at the beginning of the year) but I could see that they were going for a lofty type space. I think I would try them again-- just because the technician was so nice but maybe actually book my appointment with someone with a little bit more experience.

Then i go in 3 weeks later to get a fill (and you have to book atleast 2 weeks in advance because they are always booked up) and i was 15 minutes late, shit happens and sometimes your late. I apologized while i was on the phone with them telling them i would be late and also when i got there, she told me she wouldnt be able to fill everything because i was 15 minutes late so i said yes thats fine I understand just do whatever you can. This girl made my eyelashes look so bad i was so embarrassed walking around with them, she put barely any on the outside corners of my eye which most women want a cat eye look which she would've known if she had asked me, and the ones she did put on were so clumpy and close to my waterline i couldnt stop pulling them out shortly after she had put them on. She didnt even hold the mirror up after to let me look at them and ask if i liked them just ushered me to the front to leave. A different lash tech i had take them off even commented on how horribly they were applied and that she had clumped a few of my own lashes together which is most likely why they were so uncomfortable. Long story short if you are going to Jolie Peau definitely go to Trisha or you'll highly regret it.

I decided to go and visit Dr. McWhirter in Airdrie at ReNue. From the moment I walked in the door I felt instantly at ease. The place was clean and had a nice modern feel- not sterile like some doctors' offices can be. The receptionist (I think her name was Erin) was super friendly and helpful. I think she could tell I was nervous and she instantly put me at ease. I ended up getting botox in my forehead (to prevent further frown lines) and some filler in my "crow's feet" around my eyes. I am TERRIFIED of needles, but Dr. McWhirter was very gentle and I only felt a mild discomfort. I was afraid he would tell me I looked terrible and try to "upsell" me procedures that I didn't need. Not the case at all. It's been three months and I am very pleased with the results. People tell me I look great and want to know my secret. I feel like my face has had 5 years taken off of it. I would highly recommend this place!

Before the treatment, I asked questions about the filler being used and I was reassured about it. I agreed to go ahead because I believed the information I was given. Not long after the injections, my face reacted very badly. The swelling was extreme and it didn't feel like a normal reaction. It was scary. I was stressed and genuinely worried about what had been injected into me. When I reached out for answers and support, I did not receive clear explanations. Now they are not replying to my messages at all. Being ignored after something like this makes the situation even worse. Cosmetic procedures require honesty and transparency. You are literally trusting someone with your face and your health. I walked in feeling confident and left feeling unsafe and completely let down. There was a very unprofessional vibe as I walked in. Two girls were at the desk, neither greeted me because they were too busy talking to each other. I finally had to say 'excuse me' before their focus was turned to me. The blonde girl acted annoyed that I had interrupted, so that made me feel awkward. I checked in, the brunette girl was nice but really young and it was obvious this was probably her first customer service job. She kept running her fingers through her rough looking hair extensions and looking at the hair that was being pulled out as we talked. Gross. Went to the waiting area ( I was told I could have a seat over there, vague finger point.......) and as I was sitting and looking at my phone, two girls were talking in the hall and I could hear every word. Oh the drama! I thought that was very unprofessional and at this point I was thinking that maybe I should just cancel, wasn't sure I wanted any of these girls treating me. 15 mins past my scheduled time, I went up to the front desk and asked how much longer I had to wait. There was a new lady at the front, and from the look on her face she seemed surprised to see me. I don't think she had any clue I was waiting. She also had some of the craziest looking lips I've seen. She leaves, comes back and informs me the nurse is just setting up the room. I would have preferred she had admitted that they forgot about me as opposed to the lame excuse she gave with a big fake smile and her crazy lips! Of course the blonde from earlier is doing my treatment. She was unfriendly, rushed, didn't introduce herself. I was in and out in 20 mins. Getting angry at this point, I noticed that ALL the treatment prices are higher by $50-$100 then in Calgary. That's quite the increase! I just want to get out of there so I paid and left. What a waste of money this peel was. I saw nothing. No changes. On top of this, the unprofessional atmosphere, immature staff and jacked up prices are more than enough reasons for me not to return to ReNue Airdrie, or ReNue period.
