I learned today this company has ZERO customer loyalty. Back when they used Imprelis on my lawn and the product killed my trees I remained loyal to them. I also hired them for lawn car at my mother's house on Delaware Avenue in NSP and recommended them to a brother in law on Oakhurst Ave. in Vadnais Heights. He also hired them for cutting down trees. They must be so big now they pick and choose who they do business with. They say they never offered pre-pay discounts either. I've used their pre-pay discounts the last few years. I missed the deadline this year due to a death in the family and asked if they would honor the 6% due to the circumstances. The "manager" refused the 6% and offered half. It's not even the discount at this point, it's the principal of the thing. I would venture to say the "manager" probably never even heard of Imprelis. Charges a lot for basic lawn treatment services. My lawn didn't look any different than it did before the services.

I have been using LCS for over two years. I hired them for spring & fall clean-up, plowing, and lawn applications. It's November 10, 2020, I just called again (third time) regarding fall clean-up. I was told they could not guarantee the company will make it out to my house for fall clean-up. My yard is covered in leaves! I would have taken care of it myself or hired another company if I knew they were unable to fulfill the commitment made a year ago. I'm extremely disappointment in the service. They have a few days to correct this issue, if not, I'm taking all my business (lawn, plow, fall/spring clean-up) to another company. read more

We used this service for 4 years. The first couple years, the lawn looked great. The last couple years it deteriorated rapidly and was half dead or weeds. We contacted them repeatedly and did all the extra services they recommended with no improvement. They continue to contact us saying they're the best. read more

Very disappointed. Every year, without fail, I clean up my yard in the fall, and then the LCS crew storm in with their machines to work on the neighbors house and they blow all sorts of leaves and waste into my yard. Absolutely no regard for the neighboring houses. All they are concerned about is getting out of there as quick as they can. They don't even do a good job with the house they are paid to clean up, not to mention leaving me with a mess to clean up once they leave. Don't use them, they are lazy and inconsiderate. Snow removal...They call themselves L.C.S. Lawn & Tree but also plow snow. They do show up eventually, although not when they say they will. But I'm watching how they do my neighbors' driveway. Sloppy. Careless. It almost looks as if they didn't remove the snow. I'll have to go out there and help my neighbors clean up the mess. I'm sure there are better options in the St Paul area. read more

I have been using this service since about the middle of summer. I now have a single household and the yard, as much as I love it, is just too much for me to maintain by myself. I hired LCS after reading reviews on Angie's List. My first service was rain delayed but they were here the very next day. I have been completely satisfied with their work, always done on time and they have always cleaned up after themselves. I come home to a nice, trim lawn and no loose grass laying around on the sidewalks or driveway. I have never actually seen these special people which is even more wonderful! I do get a slip at my door with the time and review of what they did. I had some major overgrowth around my fire pit after a tree fell and they even took care of that area once I removed all the wood. They always leave me a note if they did not get to something (like the fire pit area) to let me know that they just didn't forget. I have never hired a lawn service before and I believe for the price, it just can't be beat. Now I can focus on digging my poor roses out of the weeds! read more

I started using LCS about 9 years ago at 2 different residences. They do a good job and their service tech Brian, is a very nice guy. Super polite and efficient. I tried to fertilize the yard on my own about 4 years ago by purchasing the equipment, chemicals, grass seed, Scott fertilizer, etc. My grass looked horrible and the weeds came right back. So...I'm back with LCS. It is expensive (about $400 for 5 treatments) but so are all the items you need to buy at Menards/Home Depot. read more

i have used LCS Lawn for my plowing for the last few years. I own a self-storage in Minneapolis, where good plowing is imperative so customers can access their belongings. I have not had a negative comment from any of my customers, which means they are keeping things clean and clear. The price has been reasonable and they are quick to get things cleaned up after a snow. They also keep you updated via email! read more

An update to this: After seeing my initial review last summer, Jim Nugent (the west branch manager at LCS) promptly contacted me to apologize for the issues on their end, and to offer to do what he could to help remedy the issue. Jim made four visits out to our house the rest of the summer, to personally treat the crabgrass in our yard, and offered to refund us the rest of our money for 2018 when it appeared he'd done all he could. Even after that, he stopped out to the house to aerate the lawn at the end of the fall -- and early in the spring, our lawn is looking much better than it did after our initial issues last summer. The initial issues we had with LCS were regrettable, but Jim made it clear he wanted to make things right, and did everything he could to make that happen, which was much appreciated. That's why I'm revising my initial review to give LCS a couple extra starts, for Jim's responsiveness and efforts to address our concerns. read more
