Quality/Quantity - Sadly, they were not making any of the traditional local Bouchon Lyonnais menu, I guess it is seasonal here...? They said it was too hot now. But that was the reason we came...
Anyway, the food was good. Fusion Lyon food.
So we got the following:
Burger de Moment - My wife ordered this?!?! And it had 2 meats + bacon, so I guess 3 meats...? This burger was GOOD, I was a little jealous. Beef, pork and bacon (more pork). My pictures do NOT do it justice. Oh, and it was with a side of piping hot fries which was too hot to eat right away. My wife even finished her meal, how is this possible?
Penne Au Foie Gras - Again, another good and generous dish. I had to take half of it home. Well if I did not have happy hour prior to dinner and filled up on nuts, I might have been able to finish this.
The complimentary bread was HARD as a rock. Not sure if it was supposed to come that way? Or a day old? After one bite, I gave up; see my picture.
Overall, the meal was good, but I am craving local Bouchon Lyonnais meals....
Ambiance - Busy. A small local business. Inside and outside seating. Bar seating.
A 20 minute walk from our hotel.
One clean unisex toilet, expect a line.
Service - 5 stars. No reservations, but they were able to squeeze us in.
The first waitress did NOT speak any English, but was nice and did the best she could.
So I believe she transferred us to an English speaking waitress; everyone was so kind and professional.
Price - 38.50 Euros, $45 US, reasonably priced for upscale food.
But a little high considering no wine.
