If you want delicious food and excellent service you have to try Bistrot Jennifer! The food came out extremely fast and was flavorful. We started off with escargots, which was my first time trying and it was good. For our entrees my fiance and I shared the steak and the signature pizza. We didn't enjoy the steak since it was very fatty but I enjoyed the pizza. The only thing is they don't cut the pizza for you which is something I'm not used to. The food was good and the service was quite fast. Despite the restaurant being busy, all the dishes for our family arrived within about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, what completely ruined our experience was the unacceptable behavior of one of the male waiters. He was extremely inattentive when taking our order, constantly getting distracted and not listening properly. As a result, an additional dish that we had never ordered was brought to our table. When I politely pointed this out, he simply turned around and walked away without saying anything. Later, when we received the bill, the unwanted dish was still included. I asked for the mistake to be corrected, and instead of simply resolving the issue, the waiter became aggressive and started shouting at me. He made personal remarks and behaved in a hostile and disrespectful way, all in front of my family. I found this behavior completely unacceptable, especially towards a female customer who was simply asking for an obvious mistake on the bill to be corrected. I would like to thank the other members of the staff who stepped in, apologized and corrected the bill. Unfortunately, the behavior of this particular waiter overshadowed the good food and fast service. A restaurant can have good food, but respectful treatment of customers is just as important. read more

Unfortunately, I never give a bad review but the food was really not good. The potatoes gratin was a mush, the homemade chips were soggy. I'm not exaggerating. The meat was tough and at the end the server asked if we wanted to add a tip when the tip is already included. The server was nice and it was in a nice location. read more

The food was excellent. We got four entrées: octopus which was incredibly tasty, four pizza -- so good, 4 cheese rigatoni the best my husband has had, and spaghetti truffle. We also got fries, very good. We highly recommend and the staff is so kind. read more

Just the attitude of the guy in the front turned my party of 4 away. We just took the train down from Marseille & waiting to check into our AirB & B & decided to get lunch, saw a guy John outside & asked if they were serving food as we realize that restaurant close for few hour in the afternoon in Paris. He was extremely rude & dismissive as if currency can spoil so we walked about a block down & found a different Restaurant call Meraki. Some of the worst service I've experienced in my life was at this restaurant. To start, our server was extremely rude regarding our food choices, going so far as to let us know if what we ordered wasn't what he prefers. For example, he made grossed out facial expressions when one of us ordered a particular sauce for their mussels, and again when someone ordered their fish a certain way. This made us feel dumb for ordering what we did. Secondly, he consistently forgot our orders. I had to ask him for water FOUR times before he finally brought some, by which point the meal was 75% over. I also had to remind him three times for wine / beer. I am fairly certain he was doing this intentionally to our table. Thirdly, he was abrasive and rude the entire time. When I couldn't understand something he said and politely asked him to repeat himself, he shouted at me "WHERE ARE YOU FROM?" which was off-putting and straight up weird. Lastly, and most importantly, when we asked to pay he brought us our bill plus a calculator, and pointed at the bill and then added 15 euros on top of that in the calculator and said that's how much we need to tip. After the worst service I've ever experienced he told us exactly how much we need to tip, in a country that DOESN'T even tip. I am almost certain he did this because we're from North America where tipping is the norm. I don't believe he did this for any local customers. The food wasn't even that great either, and the whole experience was made worse by this one man. I wish I had looked more closely at the reviews. For the last evening of a wonderful trip to France, I wanted a delicious meal in a fun location (with great people-watching), and had spotted this place on the corner with the dishes I still had on my "try that" list (Nicoise-style paella among them). I picked the wrong restaurant. My waiter was great - the one good thing about the experience. The menu was available with a humorously flawed translation. For example, anything listed as "snacked" is actually "battered and fried." I tried a platter with anchovies, salad, pesto, ratatouille, crostini, and some other odds and ends. I LOVE ratatouille, and this one was a big disappointment. It lacked something...flavor?? It seemed like boiled zucchini (with a bit of eggplant tossed in), with marinara from a jar dumped on top. The anchovies seemed exactly like the ones I get in a tin in the US, and the salad included pale greens and wedges of (gasp) pink tomato under an unspecific dressing. It wasn't worth eating. Next came the paella...overcooked shrimp, acceptable mussels atop yellow rice with plenty of faded peas and a few bits of peppers and onion in a personal-sized pan. (I say yellow rice hoping that saffron was included, but not convinced.) Again, the entire dish lacked flavor; a drizzle of olive oil helped a bit but not enough to make it worth eating. I've cooked far better versions of paella and ratatouille at home. It took about half an hour to get my glass of wine, and even longer to get a carafe of water. I was almost to the point of going to the bar to get them myself. The meal was NOT worth the nearly e40 that I paid, and I'm a bit sad that I wasted a dinner here, especially on my last night in France. Fortunately, I spend the afternoon learning to make croissants (on an Airbnb experience) and also enjoyed a stop at the best gelato shop in Nice (also reviewed), so all was not lost. read more

Unfortunately, their waiter, Jonathan, decided that since we are American, he would up-sell us on additions to the meal as well as automatically add a tip to our check, which hasn't happened at all during our entire trip in France. Came on a busy Saturday night and was seated right away with my girlfriend by a friendly waiter. We ordered the Goat Cheese salad to start. The fried goat cheese portion was tasty ... but the lettuce was a bit bland. Still a tasty dish! The Seafood linguini was EXCELLENT - would definitely recommend. I stopped by to look at the menu and the lady came up to me and started telling me about their daily special. I don't know how I got sucked in...but it was chicken tabbouleh and a chicken pizza. So the tabbouleh or however they spelled it was just couscous with some tomatoes and chicken. Then the pizza came out and it was very big...but then I just sat there and was like Why did I get this? I can get a thin crust pizza in San Francisco. I ate half quickly and packed up the rest. I wanted to get out to the beach. I paid for a thing of water too. It came to $22 euros which is $26. Altogether it was okay. I don't think it was deserving of 1 star. It just wasn't getting 5 stars from me. I just wish I had gotten a more unique meal in Nice than this. Or spent less and picked up some crepes from the stand I walked by. The pic of the fried chicken and fries was someone else's food. I just snagged a pic lol. read more
