This midsized "gastronomic" restaurant is fabulous. It's along the Grand Vin Route from Beaune to Dijon, closer to Dijon, in the little village of Vasna-Romanee. We had a fabulous meal, starting with good escargot, then a melt-in-your-mouth terrine of duck foie gras with a peach marmalade. My main was a baked duck coated in honey, with potatoes and roasted figs. It was simply delicious, with great complimenting flavors. My wife had a skewer of pork tenderloin marinated in red pesto, with sweet chorizo and a creamy risotto. Also delicious.
We had to work at translating the menu items, but the wait staff was very patient and helpful. For wine, we had a great 1st Cru Greve from the region, at a price we'll never see in the US.
Great setting with a park view, and clearly popular with locals. I have no reluctance to recommend this restaurant if you're anywhere in the Burgundy region.
