Came highly recommended by our concierge for a truffle tasting dinner. He helped us make the reservation for this small restaurant and luckily we did. When we sat down at 7:30, half the restaurant was already full. They were very accommodating and provided us with the hand written menus in English. As we looked at the menu, we noticed the truffle tasting menu on the wall and we had to do it. The first course was a truffle paste with bacon foam. It was delicious. Then, the burrata salad with tons of shaved truffles on top. Yummy! The earthiness if the truffles and the creaminess if the burrata was a perfect pairing. Next came the foie gras, apple tart, covered with freshly shaved truffles. This was one of the best things I've ever ate. If you eat nothing else in Nice, eat 3 of these. AMAZING! Final dish is the white truffle raviolis topped with more freshly shaved truffles. Unfortunately, this came right after the most perfect dish, so it just didn't stand out. The truffle was intense, the raviolis were al dente. Come to this neighborhood joint where locals hang out.

Hands down some of the best truffles dishes I've ever experienced in all my dining experiences. If This place were in Chicago the bill would've been double & quality would've been much worse in my humble opinion. Our waitress didn't speak fluid English however she was patient so we got through our dinner. We started with a brioche & truffle & foie gras dish which was amazing & for our entrees we chose truffle ravioli & truffle risotto with artichokes. All the dishes were sublime & the wine was good enough although nowhere near as spellbinding as the food. The restaurant is extremely small, maybe about 20 or more patrons at a time. While dining we didn't see a single walk in so I highly encourage making a reservation. It's dimly lit & easy to miss with one of the smallest kitchens I've ever seen but the product the chef is pushing out has won me over & if I'm ever in Nice again I will surely dine here before even considering somewhere else.

    Fish w beetroot. So yummy!

Probably the best dinner I had in Nice! You have to come here! As always, be sure to reserve ahead of time. There was also a good "the fork" deal via tripadvisor that saved a lot of $$. We ordered a fish with beetroot and veggies and the beef. Everything was really well flavored and cooked, large portions, and we got a free appetizer which was a vegetable and bacon cream served in small shot-like glasses. This place seems to be known for their truffles but regardless our dishes were great. For dessert we tried the peach tiramisu and cinnamon cream. I don't recommend the peach tiramisu- couldn't taste real mascarpone cheese. But the cinnamon cream was amazing! Came with two other scoops or flavors. Service friendly and wine was qualify / they serve it chilled which I appreciate :) Merci!

Must come here when you're visiting Nice! Randomly stumbled upon this amazing restaurant! And since it was truffle season, they had a special truffle 3 course menu for 40 euros. And trust me - it was the best truffle 3 course ive had in a while. The first truffle course was salad with burrata and truffles. Really opens up your palette. Simple and refreshing. Second course was this very thick toast with a caramelized onion jam and truffles. OMG super umami and blew my taste buds outta my mouth. How can the final course top this? Final course was truffles risotto with Parmesan foam. Oh my did the chef just blow my mind. And I'm not usually a person who loves truffles. I like it but to like a 3 course menu is out of the ordinary. This risotto I will dream about for the rest of my life. Yummy! We also ordered the shrimp ceviche which was good but nothing special. There was another truffle appetizer that we ordered that was really good and definitely worth ordering - I don't speak French so the server just described it to me as a mushroom salad with really big mushrooms and truffles on top. The really big mushrooms he mentioned were really fat and juicy. Dessert was pretty good but nothing comparable to the risotto. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant!

House foie gras - better than any other I have had - 1st Cru!

There is a limited and fixed menu - so to get an excellent rating you must be exceptional at every option on the menu - this place did that and more! We started with the asparagus salad and said wow! Then we had the artichoke and truffle salad and said - cannot be true because we tried the house foie gras and it was superb (And i do not like any kind of liver ever born!). Then we had the veal confit and fillet of boeuf (Steak for us dudes) with scallop and mashed potatoes - i was again surprised as i have only had one potato ever that I even remember - that was mashed potato at Joel Robuchon's in Paris - and these scalloped potatoes were fantastic and the mashed were memorable. So I definitely recommend this as a place to eat for a great dinner while in Nice - better than anything in Monaco as well as Nice. Make a reservation!

Truffle ravioli - normally a starter but I had as a main and the beef filet with mushrooms and potatoes on the side! SO good!

BEST food we've had in France. Hands down. And the staff is extremely friendly. The gentleman read the menu to us in English to translate. It gets packed at around 8. We arrived at 7 and the place quickly filled up. The ravioli is to die for!!! My BF got the steak and he ate every last bite! We shared a dessert at the end, the chocolate cake and it was superb! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Fish that wasn't on the menu.

We stumbled upon this place last night using yelp. It had the highest rating in the area. We walked in before 7 and found out we needed reservations so we made reservations. I've been to a few Michelin rated restaurants and this one was trying very hard to give u that same experience. The starter was something made with bacon and a Parmesan infused cream that had a very distinctive taste. The salad was very tasty but the truffle risotto and scalloped potatoes complimented the steak and fish superbly. This definitely deserves 5 stars.

Great meal in France!…read more This was a fantastic first dinner in Nice right off the main drag. We had reservation for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect. All the dishes were served with plenty of accompaniment. Great meal for a great French experience. Would highly recommend.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

Also note there is no cell service or WiFi service in the restaurant. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. We ordered the squid, Foie Gras and Filet Mignon. All 3 were very good though I am not a fan of the Fois Gras but it came with a nice salad and bread. The squid was seasoned well and cut thin and flash fried. The filet was sliced and cooked perfect The potatoes were great and also nice salad came with it. Service was ok. Prices Moderate.

I was sooo looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, I was left with cheese on my face (sorry no eggs here, only cheese, cheese, and more cheese). We arrived a bit early for our reservation (15-20 minutes), but we were seated immediately, which was nice; the table was stuffed into a corner, but at least we were seated. Unfortunately, that was about where the niceness ended. The restaurant is supposed to be housed in a former cheese cave, which I thought would be exciting and romantic, instead it was just hot and cramped. This is one of those restaurants that tries to accommodate as many diners as possible, so we were basically eating right on top of another couple (who were incredibly displeased, even stating, "this service is abysmal"). We could literally hear every word spoken up to two tables away, so don't expect to have any privacy, except from the servers that is. Service was unpleasant and extremely minimal. Our server took our food and drink order, delivered our drinks, another server apologized for the delay in receiving our meal, and our original server delivered our meal...and that was it. They didn't refill our water bottle, ask if I wanted another glass of wine, stop by to see if we liked our meal -or needed else (which we did), or even bring a check. After waiting too long for our check, table full of finished plates and empty cups, we eventually just got up and headed upstairs. Apparently you're supposed to head upstairs to pay, but we'd have never known since our server was doing they're best David Copperfield impression. Now for the food. The kitchen was tiny tiny, so it's no wonder the menu consists of cheese for the starter, cheese for the entree, and cheese for dessert. Sprinkled in-between the assortment of cheeses was a steak masquerading on the menu as "Aubrac Bib", whatever that means, and the Tartiflette, think pork belly scalloped potatoes and the only thing you should order here. The Tartiflette was microwave-lunch small, but it was hot, rich, and pretty meaty for the size. I got the Camembert (takes 30 minutes) and it was pretty awful as a meal. It's not even really a dish. They literally opened up the wooden wheel of cheese, peeled back the paper, sprinkled a few things on top, then baked for 30 minutes, so it was more of just a cheese dish. It arrived-paper still covering the top, and was served with some under-seasoned fingerling potatoes and a salad. The salad was good and potatoes were okay, but the cheese was so one-note, it needed meat or veggies to dip in it. Unfortunately, I only had the few potatoes and two small bits of baguette to dunk, so my only option was to eat it like soup, which I did not-so half remained wasted and uneaten. We would have liked to have eaten dessert, but after the poor meal, and lack of even offering dessert, "How could we?". I'm giving 2 stars for the Tartiflette because it was delicious. I would not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.
