We had a nice experience here. We did make a reservation, long line of peeps and some women cut in line demanding to be seated... very odd. So they sat her... it was a busy night, we sat outside. Had a nice bottle of wine. Food was good.

Our first night in Nice we stumbled upon this little gem. The service was friendly and prompt. We ordered both duck selections and they were quite delicious. The Créme Brûlée was the best I ever had. Prices are reasonable and location is great. I would recommend La Femme du Boulanger

We discovered this place when we couldn't get a table at La Cucina. It did not disappoint and was a lucky find. We ended up eating here twice while in Nice. Servers were still kind and plenty of tables on the patio. Most tender chicken with delicious mushroom sauce I have ever eaten. All their good was well prepared.

Behold the lamb shank...

Visiting Nice for a few days and needed to find a good restaurant, so I Yelped and found this place! As always, Yelp didn't let me down. This place is great and my Lamb Shank was awesome! Loved the plumb sauce, a true authentic sauce and fish. Timothy also provided an excellent service. Try it!! Well, got back here the next night and this time I tried the Chicken Filet wt mushroom sauce. This too was an amazing meal! Tender chicken and excellent dates and side veggie and rice pilaf... try it!

The lamb shanks at this place are really good, especially the sauce which has a plum jam-like flavor and the meat is very delicious. However, the other dish, sheep cheese, has an overpowering taste that may not be suitable for everyone.

I wanted a nice and unique restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday since we have traveled all the way from the USA to Italy on our ski trip. Nice is a post trip stop. After reading the comments and reviews, I decided to try La Femme du Boulanger. We were first greeted warmly by a lady host and then were so impressed with the vibrant colors of all sorts of local vegetables, fruits and mostly the delicious dishes, every dish we ordered from the homemade pate, lamb shank and veal liver! A lovely restaurant host surprised us by singing happy birthday in French along with a sparkler on the dessert we ordered. Other patrons followed the lead! My husband said it was one of the best birthday celebrations he had! Li from South Carolina

Though delayed multiple times, we got in before dinner time and this time we were lucky! The first dinner choice at La Femme Du Boulanger was excellent! My prawn dish with fresh noodles and his duck leg dish were both cooked nicely with full of flavor! My prawns were fresh and cooked nicely. The prawn had that tight and slightly chewy texture and clean. The noodles below was fresh made, with deep flavor, somewhat reminded me of Chinese noodles - the texture and flavor that tasted like soy sauce based. His duck was braised with some sweeter sauce but cooked beautifully- finally not raw food!!!! Of course I had to order Tiramisu in an Italian restaurant when the main dish is in right portion. It was one of the best #tiramisu I ever had. Not too sweet and the coffee taste is mild. The sweet crumbles and blueberries added a bit twist in texture and fun in taste. The cream was airy and light, paired perfectly. Will go back for sure. #nicefrance #nicerestaurants

Good service, food was not as great. One entre was cold, one entree had tough beef. Does not live up to the rating on yelp.

Great food, good service, nice ambiance. We had the lamb and the sea bream fish. Both were great. Thank you for a great experience.

The meal was good, service friendly, prices reasonable. Why though does it take so long to get the bill, in France?

This was our favorite meal of our trip to Nice!…read more Warning: Reservations are hard to come by we dropped by and only reservations available were for 9pm two nights later. We took it. The place is super relaxed. 5 maybe 6 tables which made the difficulty of reservations more understandable. Prix fix menu - 4 appetizers to choose from, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. We were there with somewhat of a limited diet, but the options were awesome. We got a cauliflower appetizer and an artichoke one. Both were excellent. We all had the cod for dinner also delicious - served in a bath of traditional fish soup and with potatoes. The dessert was also excellent - we got the goat cheese in olive oil and garlic, the cream cheese with blueberry compote, lemon cheesecake and cinnamon "tiramisu". Every bite was full of flavor and such cool takes on the food. Now the intangibles - we arrived for our 9pm reservation, restaurant closes at 9:30 and we probably didn't walk out until 11:15 and there was still another table of 8 people dining. The host/waiter, Sebastian, was awesome. So friendly and we at no point felt rushed. In fact the opposite. When our daughter was slow in finishing her meal he joked with her instead of hurrying us along. Once we finished our main dish, he casually brought us our dessert and because we didn't order his favorite (we didn't know) he brought us out an extra to enjoy. We felt a little bad so somewhat accelerated the dessert phase so we could square up and leave. Instead he was unhurried, he casually cleared our table and chatted with us for a bit. It took us another 15 minutes before we finally said could we get the bill. He brought it to us another 5-7 minutes later. We had a great experience and one of our best meals in France, if not the best.

Overall, I'd say the food is a 3.5/5 but the value is 5/5. I'd recommended Chez Palmyre if you want a real Nice experience, especially on a budget. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance.

An amazing, unexpected meal…read more We didn't even have a reservation, but somehow got super lucky just walking in. My friend who made our itinerary had this place on the list of places to eat at, but we didn't have a resy so we didn't have our hopes up. It was fairly late when we walked by. I saw a pretty big crowd outside, shockingly mostly Americans. We put our name in and less than 5 mins later we got seated - ahead of people who were there before us. They led us to a sorta corner table, overlooking the kitchen. We got to watch the talented chefs do work all night. The smells coming from the kitchen honestly got me feeling wild thoughts. Like damn. For some reason we all decided to do a la carte. Maybe because it was late. Someone got risotto, I got the pork chop and the other got lamb. We all loved what we got, but agreed that mine was the best. This is the kind of place that would be my go to spot if I lived here. Awesome vibes, innovative food and overall great atmosphere

We asked for the dessert menu, but they told us that they needed to turn over the table within 10 minutes so we could not have dessert and had to get the check. I have never had an experience like this before in ANY country. Clearly they are a tourist trap and they just want to turn over tables. If you would like a real French experience, stay far away. We live in Nice and I've never had service like this. I would like to give this restaurant, the worst review of my life.
