This is a SMALL venue, so don't stress too much if you have a general admission ticket because…read morethere were probably only 30 rows of people (standing room only). They do have a full bar though, so there's that. I went to watch Pop Evil & didn't want to lose my front row spot to get a drink or have to pee. Sound system is on point you will feel the bass in your bones! You might want to wear earplugs though because wow, your ears will be ringing for a while after the show Oh they are pretty strict about the size of your clear bag. I would say put your ID & credit card on a lanyard and just have a few things in your pocket like keys, phone, chapstick.

The manager took issue with our clear stadium bags, even though they fully complied with the size…read morerequirements listed on the venue's own website. We specifically purchased these bags to meet their stated policy, yet he insisted they were too large and initially told us we would not be allowed entry. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way it was handled. Even after we showed him the venue's own specifications proving the bags were permitted, he refused to acknowledge the mistake and continued to treat us disrespectfully. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, he chose to double down and create an unnecessarily hostile experience. As you can see in the images, it fits their criteria. Because of this interaction alone, I will not attend another event at this location.

JAZZ LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD IT BEFORE!…read more This jazz band is so phenomenal that they deserve their own Yelp page! The Mike Frost band is located in Aiken, SC, but I had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Augusta at the Commons. This is the type of music that you hear in the distance and immediately start looking around for the source because there just has to be a professional recording being played. Not so! The sounds I heard as I approached the venue were live and that angelic voice was non other that Lauren Meccia the lead vocalist. Lauren is extremely talented as a vocalist and an instrumentalist as she played the soprano, tenor and alto sax. Equally talented members included Mike Frost, bassist and others that I simply cannot name. Their music combines elements of funk, rock and R&B and is what I refer to as "feel good" music. You will definitely recognize much of the music and find yourself tapping your toes, clapping and singing along. I was so impressed with this band that I found myself just mumbling throughout the performance about how unbelievable they were. I was sitting there listening but not exactly believing what I was hearing. Wow! What a gift! I am so pleased that they have chosen to remain in the local area so that I could have an opportunity to see them. I could absolutely see them on an international stage. They are that good! This is the band that you hire for any special occasion but especially your wedding, formal dinner party or any "after five" affair. Beautiful just beautiful!

Lauren Meccia is not only a very talented vocalist, but an amazing saxophonist. She could've been Grover Washington Jr. when she did her spot-on rendition of Take Five. Mike was awesome on the bass, a little reminiscent of the late great Wayman Tisdale. Overall, I'd absolutely go see this band again, and highly recommend making the time to see them.
