The stalls are heavily rusted, damaged, stained, and have clearly been neglected for years. This facility looks ancient, poorly maintained, and is far below the standard passengers should expect at one of the busiest transit stations in Manhattan.The worst part is the severe lack of privacy. As you can see in my photo, the stall door is completely broken and doesn't even cover the opening. It leaves a massive gap that forces you to expose yourself to the entire room. Privacy and human dignity are basic expectations in any public restroom, but the current setup falls short.The MTA just raised the subway base fare to $3.00 under the promise of better service, yet paying riders are expected to use facilities like savages. I am not just posting this for myself, but to speak up for the thousands of daily commuters, seniors, and visitors who pass through this major transportation hub every day and are too intimidated or tired to complain.Cleanliness and maintenance are completely nonexistent here. The MTA needs to stop ignoring this station, bypass the lazy excuses, and immediately prioritize repairs, deep cleaning, and full modernization. We are paying more to ride; we deserve safe, clean, functional, and private restrooms. Fix this door immediately!

Other than taking the local bus to the slow 6 train, the BxM7 is the only way to get from Coop City to Manhattan.

Local service has morally declined into the toilet for Bx41 Bus! It hosts on board many panhangers as the bus driver did not block such non-paying passengers. It is a double-car bus and often crowded for off-business hours on weekdays and weekend nights. The route is from South Bronx's The Hub at East 149th Street and Third Avenue 149th Street where accessible for transfering to # 2, 5 trains and further to Williamsbridge's White Plains Road and East Gun Hill Road in the Bronx.

We had to run to the track, where we accidentally boarded the wrong train. This was also my fault. Upon our return to the city, there was a large phalanx of extremely fit police officers with their pants tucked into combat boots milling near the entrance. We decided that this was also not a good time to loiter and marvel at the architecture, so we departed expeditiously. The only cabs available outside the station are green ones, which my mother refused to take. They generally operate in the Bronx. But when I finally got a cab through the Curb app, it was...green. Lol. Very nice, clean station, and a very nice employee directed us to the correct track.

Czech artist Peter Sis designed the 86th St. station's 2004 bright, playful tile mosaics entitled "Happy City," which utilizes large eyes and circles, as well as incorporates stars, buildings, city folk, birds, assorted winged animals, and (my favorite) a flying winged Guggenheim Museum! You must purchase a ticket before you board. All three doors open making for speedy boarding and disembarking of passengers. Keep your receipt after you buy your ticket. Sometimes a MTA Employee will be at a stop checking to see if passengers paid. The fine for not paying is hefty! The buses are new and have been clean when I ride. Passengers are not as crazy as I remember in the past on this route. I like that this bus stops right on my corner. Especially when I have shopping bags. All major intersections have a bus stop along this route. You need to use your Metro Card to buy the fare. Read all the instructions before you attempt to use this service. Much like all NYC Public Transportation there's lots of rules and regulations. I'm still a fan of faster service. If you're going very far, or out when it's 20 degrees wind chill, you should ride! An MTA station is on 145th Street in Harlem. It has lots of trains going through it with the A,…read moreB,C, and D Trains so there's never a long wait for one. Many opportunities to make a transfer. Fairly clean compared to many other stations around it. This also has a police station. Big station because of all the trains you can get on from here. It serves the A, B, C, and D Trains. There's many ways to make a transfer. Lower levels have the B and D. The B doesn't run on weekends. It still has plenty of other options to choose. The A often runs express but will always make a stop here. Upper levels have the A and C and this is where there's a police station. For how busy this is it's amazingly clean. This is usually safe with there being a police station. Getting to and from here is convenient and fast. It's one of the few stops for A when it runs express until 168th. The other important thing to remember is the B doesn't run on weekends.
