We were craving Thai food and were fortunate enough to happen upon this amazing restaurant! We sat downstairs which had a surprisingly romantic vibe with the lighting and general atmosphere. I had the vegetable Tom Yum soup with tofu and my husband had chicken Phad Thai - both very flavorful. The portions were good and the service was exceptional! When I accidentally choked on the soup (perfectly spiced, I was just eating too fast) the server immediately came to our table, displaying genuine concern for my welfare. It was so kind! Easy to make reservation. The waiter was awesome and spoke English, but appreciated that I could speak some French. The food was amazing. Huge portions and multiple vegetarian options. We got the Mama noodles with tofu and vegetables and the fried rice with tofu and vegetables. They were able to make the food mild, do substitutions to add more broccoli for the kids, who hadn't had any vegetables for the past two days. We had enough food to take home for several days to eat. The only downside is a comment the owner made to my kids after they got some food on the table (they were hungry and eating fast), so I'd probably only get takeout from here in the future. read more

Loved having this spot literally right next door to our Airbnb in Les Marais, Paris! We appreciated a solid takeout option opened relatively late (closes at 10:00pm Monday-Saturday). The chicken spring rolls were delicious, and actually, all the food was generally comparable to many of the Thai restaurants available in the United States. I really enjoyed my yellow curry, and my friend's pad Thai looked excellent (and tasted great too, by all reports). Friendly service as well! read more

If you happen to be in Paris and craving Thai food, this place is an absolute must! My husband and I could not stop saying "this is so good" after each bite we took. I had the beef pad si ew, and he had the beef and broccoli with extra sticky rice. The gentlemen working there spoke wonderful English, they were lovely to chat with, and they had menus in English as well. The food was so flavorful and their portions are extremely generous. Out of all of our meals in Paris, this dinner was truly our favorite. I would suggest making a reservation, otherwise they offer take out as well. Such a great Thai food restaurant!! Coming from New York, I didn't expect Thai food in Paris to be that great. I eat Thai food at least once a week living in the city and as there are many great spots, I know it'd be tough to beat. We came across this restaurant walking around and saw a full packed restaurant on a pouring day in Paris. Not many restaurants nearby were filled due to the weather. We popped in this restaurant and it was quite small but quaint. Decorated with succulents and plants all over one wall and the kitchen open and transparent that the guests can see the chef cook, it was a wonderful vibe. We ordered spring rolls to start - good but not amazing. As expected. Then off to the entrees -- red curry with tofu and vegetables, and then their mama noodles with beef (requested for spicy). Both entrees were phenomenal. The red curry had flavor I had not tasted before - it was very rich and quite spicy. My favorite curry spot in NY is SriPraPhai in Woodside, but this place might have beaten that. The coconut milk is very fresh but the richness of the curry was what gave it that extra. The mama's noodles were equipped with just the perfect amount of spice and sauce. The noodles are a texture of lo mein but 100x better. We finished with mango with sticky rice, which is generally made too sweet. This place was hardly sweet which was a nice change, and more authentic. The chef came to check in on our meal which was a bonus and very nice. This is the BEST Thai food I've had in a while. If you're in Paris and craving some Thai food, come here. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this small Thai restaurant that's just around the corner from the apartment we're staying in Paris. We had lunch there on a rainy day because it's so close. I don't often write reviews but this was some absolutely stellar Thai food that I encountered in Paris. Recommended by a colleague, this restaurant blew my expectations out of the water. I had the Red Curry which was pleasantly spicy (in a city that steers away from heat) with major basil undertones accompanied by a rich coconut curry sauce; probably one of the best meals I had in Paris despite it being a foreign cuisine. I also had the Mama Noodles which were great but the real winner here was the Red Curry. I was fortunate enough to get a seat by the window and the owner was kind enough to check in several times throughout my meal to ensure my satisfaction. Next time I go back to Paris, I will certainly be revisiting Le Chef Thai. Highly recommended, A+++++ read more

This place was awesome! We stumbled across this place while in the neighborhood and looking for somewhere to grab dinner. Lovely, cozy little restaurant which also has downstairs seating! When we first arrived, a table had just freed up and our server did a very very thorough scrub down of the table with disinfectant and all. Usually, restaurants just wipe down the table but man he gave it a thorough scrub. Two thumbs up in my opinion! Looking at the menu, literally everything looked delicious and was super cheap! Most dishes were 10-12€, and the menu was pretty extensive. I almost couldn't figure out what to order because everything was tempting me. I was sold on the "mama noodles" - the name got me, and also since they were supposed to be spicy. I requested that they be extra spicy, and man they did not disappoint! The mama noodles were soooo tasty and full of flavor and just overall amazing. The server also brought out extra red pepper flakes for us in case we needed, but to be honest, my meal was spicy enough. (And I am difficult to please when it comes to being spicy enough!) The drinks menu was cool, they not only had Thai beer but also some craft beer, including the French Bellerose, which were at very affordable prices : under 5€. A friend got the limonade with figs which was tasty. Everyone at our table loved their food - shrimp, duck, noodles, chicken - everything was on point and delicious. This place was seriously popping, with people constantly coming and eating in or ordering takeaway. I was surprised it hasn't been reviewed on Yelp. Hands down - this is the best authentic Thai food in Paris. My friend and I came here two nights in a row it was so good. Everything on the menu is amazing! We had the papaya salad, spring rolls, mama noodles, pad thai, fried rice, and curry. All dishes were full of flavour and absolutely delicious. I love that the spring rolls came with lettuce that you use to wrap the spring rolls in. My favourite dishes are the mama noodles and the curry. For dessert, the tapioca pudding with mango and crème fraîche is simple yet divine. On top of all that, the service is on point and the owner/chef is kind, funny, and an absolute delight. Prices are very reasonable and dinner for two (including dessert) costs around 30€. I am extremely sad that I can't bring this delicious Thai food back with me to Vancouver. But that just means that I'll have to come back to Paris again soon :) read more

The best little thai place I have been to in a long time. The red and green curries were fantastic, and both my non-vegan grandmother and myself who is vegan were very happy with the food. We went several times during our trip since it was right by out place. The staff is very friendly and helpful and remembered me when I returned. The menu is only in french so I suggest looking beforehand if you speak english like myself, but the wait staff was able to assist regardless. read more
