Still the best place in West Texas for consignment shopping! The owner is very knowledgeable about authenticity of brand names.

Brand new prices on used clothing. The clothing is for more mature shoppers. They don't have a variety for the shopper younger than 40. A lot of the shoes are out of trend. Replicas or "knockoffs" are sold in the store which makes me think they may not know how to authenticate their designer items. Service is ok, they seem helpful. I met the new owner Peggy who is such a doll. She explained to me the sale signs and how to navigate the store. Went home with 3 items that fit me perfectly for less than $40! The PRIMARY reason I don't shop here often is the glare from the full-length windows along the entire storefront. Once a year a come here and then remember why I seldom shop here. Today, at 5:40 pm, I asked the salesclerk for the time (only brought bank card and keys inside), knowing they close at 6. She gave me the time following quickly with "I'm closing up at 6." I remember coming here a few years ago, never went back till now. It will probably take me that long to go back if I do go back. I don't like to be followed around but this place completely ignores you. They never even acknowledged my presence. Matter of fact most of the time the people working were in the back. I went in looking for work pants. Found some cute Banana Republic black pants, just what I was looking for, and to top it off, all tags were still on the pants...Brand New! Price was $12.99, perfect. Walked around look for something else, lots and lots of beautiful well cared for used clothing, and name brands, if that's important to you. Didn't see anything I needed, went to checkout and the Sale price $3.25!!! I'll definitely go back, pretty shop. read more

I went into this store at 11:30 am today. No greeting, No assistance. I found several pieces to purchase and proceeded to the check out. There was one lady ahead of me. The sales person began to talk to her while preparing to ring up the sale. The lady had just a couple of pieces. I was on a tight schedule, but was trying to be patient. Then the Sales person leans over the counter placing her arms around the customer and begins to pray with her. After a lengthy pray she goes back to ringing up the sale. Finally, finished! But no, they begin to pray again!!!!! I am a Christian and I do pray. But, this was maddening!!!! I had well over $100 worth of clothes in my arms. By this time I am 15 minutes late to my appointment. I will NEVER go back to this store! The prices were not that great and the service was awful! I always find something of quality at a good price. Especially their marked down items. BUT and it's. HUGE BUT, service is horrific. I stop in this store every time I am in Lubbock and the ladies that work in there would rather chat and ignore customers than help them. The are ALL snotty and NOT customer service oriented. I would buy a lot more here if there was an inkling of help. Today I waited at the register to check out while three giddy girls laughed and chatted in the back. I take great pride in my designer clothing, and take great care of it. I dropped off three bins of clothing with lids, and everything was labeled with my name and contact info. I was told that my items would be catalogued and I could pick up my storage containers at a later date. I came back today to do just that and they GAVE THEM AWAY!!! They GAVE AWAY my storage property, and offered me in exchange dirty, lidless containers! I am NOT amused, ladies! This will be the LAST time that I EVER deal with your sad little excuse for a store. This is a great place. I've been shopping here since it opened a few years back and I always bring my friends who haven't tried it. Worth, Chicos, Talbots, Coldwater Creek, I love this! I have tried Really Really hard to make myself like this store, about every few months I give it another go around. I always leave empty handed! I am never greeted upon entering the store, the quality is good, but the prices are out-rage-ous! I would rather shop dillards sale racks than their store, I don't know if they're pricing software on their register is messed up or if the owner or manager is delusional? They are used clothes, not all of them, but the majority of them are, I am not paying that price for a pair of jeans some body elses butt was in. I personally don't get Le Chic. I would just give two stars because their clothes are good and trendy. But I'd say you can get better deals off the sale racks of a department store or nice boutique. read more

I have consigned with this store ever since they opened. Today I drove across town on my lunch hour to drop off some items for consignment. The door stated taking items Monday through Wednesday until 6pm. Today is Wednesday. After knocking and ringing the bell I was met by a lady that told me they were not taking any items until February. I explained I drove all the way across town and on my lunch hour. That didn't make any difference. She refused to take my three items. Stated they sent out a text stating the February date. I did not receive the text. Very disappointed in the management of the store and how this was handled. If it weren't for the clients that consign there would be no store. read more

I live near here so it's hat not to stop on on occasion. The workers are unfriendly. There is usually an older lady there and she seems a bit snobby. Everything I way overpriced for used clothing and they are SNOBS about their clothing too. One time I was glancing at the USED coach purses and the lady said "now all of our purses are on sale for 25% off and we NEVER put our purses on sale" ohhhhhh well let me take a little leap of joy! Lol..,they look down on you..at least that's the feel I get. My last visit I found some BKE jeans which are NOT high end jeans they are from the buckle but buckle is NOT high end...thy were price decent at like 25 bucks but they had a stain on the back and the lady refused to discount it at all for me and I said well maybe it will come out? And she said I don't know and just looked at me. Lol! I don't think this place will last long ...too pricy and the past couple times I've been in there the clothing they have has just been "meh" there are way better resale shops in Lubbock girls check all of them out! read more

I am shocked at the reviews that I have read here. I have shopped at Chic Boutique often the last few years and always have had a wonderful experience! The sales people are friendly and helpful and always available to help with sizes and items I am looking to buy. I have never found them to be 'snooty' or 'rude'....always pleasant and willing to help in any way! I have also placed some items for consignment and was please with the way I was treated and the ones that sold. Of course it is always surprising what they do not take but they know their inventory and what sells so I trust their judgement! I think Chic Boutique is a wonderful place to sell and to shop and I always find something 'just right' to buy!!! read more
