I was picking up some shirts my employer had ordered and I was warned that it had been a nightmare to get them ordered and to prepare for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised when it was a quick and easy pick up! Once we pulled the shirts from be bag we quickly just tore tags off and hung them up. When it was time to use the shirt we noticed that a white one had brown stains all over it (looked like dirt). I tried washing it with stain remover to no avail. I called the store and they said to bring it in. When I did they proceeded to politely argue with me about whether the stains were present when we picked the shirts up. To their credit, they do check each shirt for size and color before they put them all in the bag so I understand that it seems unlikely that a white shirt would leave the store with unnoticed stains. But it happened. The conversations were awkward because I was trying to explain that I knew for a fact the shirts had not been worn and that I was not the buyer anyways. I noticed tones of annoyance in their voices which made me uncomfortable. Eventually they brought the shirt back to me with a "pretreatment" that smelled so much of sharpie that I had to drive back with the windows down. I washed the shirt with the treatment and it did take some of the stain out but not all of it. I called again a day or two later and they said they would reorder if i brought the shirt back in. I appreciated that they did not argue with me BUT... As soon as I walked into the store the girl at front (same as the previous time if I remember) did not seem willing to honor the agreement made on the phone at first. She politely reminded me of the procedure of checking shirts before sending them out which I was fully aware of. They did end up taking it and stating that they would reorder. I tried to smile and speed politely but the employees I spoke with were not returning the love. It was uncomfortable at best. The shirts done properly did look nice and they did eventually make things right but I would not use this service for myself based on the two uncomfortable encounters I had. I understand mistakes and weird things happen but I would like to have been treated with more respect instead of suspicion and annoyance. UPDATE: 26 days later I called to check in the shirt and they said they had it. Going in to get it was easy and pain free. I was treated with courtesy and respect this time. Not sure how to feel after 2 nice and 2 not so nice visits.

I was wearing my inherited Lucchese boots and I WISH I'd taken a before photo. I've worn them a LOT in the couple of decades I've owned them and both back heels were worn down at an angle into the wood (to the point that wearing them was forcing my knees out of alignment), the wood layers were coming apart, the front sole toe border was worn down to where it met the leather on both shoes, the (originally dark brown) leather was dry and stripped of color in places. Arrived in LBB and mentioned to my parents that I'd looked up repair shops and Frank's had popped and they immediately knew who he is. Turns out, my dad has been taking shoes to him for decades. We called him the next day, he confirmed he was open so we went by to take my boots and a pair of dress shoes for my dad. When I plopped my boots on the counter, Frank let out a little "whoo". (I TOLD you they were in bad shape.) But, he quoted a reasonable price and even rushed the pick up date to accommodate my imminent departure. When we returned the next day to retrieve our footwear, I couldn't believe my eyes. My beloved but formerly oh-so-sad boots were once again made for walkin'.

The two pieces I had were fairly simple: one piece, the hem partially fell out so I asked them to repair that and the second piece was a satin blouse that only needed some minimal stitching. The stitching in the satin blouse fell out 2 days later. The hem, you can tell where the tension on the sewing machine was a little too tight and doesn't match the rest of the hem. The pricing is inexpensive but, you get what you pay for.

I dealt with Fernando at the counter where he took careful notes and later with Mario on the phone as he was making the cases himself. I am so pleased and so happy to recommend this shop. The work was awesome there was a little misunderstanding in a certain detail after one was made that I felt was still acceptable but they went ahead and remade it anyway. It sounds great that they don't cost as much, but you'll have to buy shoes more often. I would have never walked into this store, if I hadn't been with my mom. It didn't take long to notice the difference in the quality of the shoes. The employees are always nice, and their sales are fantastic!
