    Swing seats at the counter.

We tried the crepes and they were both delicious. Great time to go to this pretty, cozy place. Loved the counter swing seats. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely would return.

I looked online and on Instagram for a phone number, and couldn't find one, so I couldn't call to see if they had gluten-free bread. I decided to risk it and try it out anyway, because I was exhausted and their Bread 'n Butter latte sounded like the perfect pick me up. I got there and the guy at the counter informed me that they didn't have their toast, gluten-free bread, the Bread 'n Butter latte, or a phone number! I thought about leaving right then, but I decided to try the Let's Get Figgy latte, which was decent, but not good enough to bring me back after the other disappointments. And I could have saved time if I had been able to call them to make sure they had what I was looking for!

Food/Drink: Pastry -- Cream Cheese Coffee Cake (Perfection, this sweet treat was soft, moist, and full of flavor. Rating = 9.3/10.) Drink #1 -- Hot Vanilla Latte (Delish, not a big hot drink fan but this was an exception to the rule! Rating = 8.4/10.) Drink #2 -- Iced Vanilla Latte (Wonderful, really all I could ask for out of my favorite coffee order, not to sweet and excellent espresso taste. Rating = 8.4/10.) Service: No complaints on the service. The shop wasn't too busy so our order came out as expected with little wait! Ambiance: The location is unique - located in a neighborhood amongst what appears to be primarily college housing units. The building itself is really cool - albeit, quite small - and is decorated/themed with a lot of intention. The shop has a retro vibe with a VCR tape collection, nostalgic children games, and other late '90s / early '00s antiques lining the walls. Overall, this spot is one of our favorites in the Iowa City area, and we will definitely be return customers!

The late hours here makes for a great alternative to the hubbub at Java House and there's usually parking easily found here. Great coffee, Kickapoo from Wisconsin, and americanos! I've been working my way through the loose-tea menu. Earl Grey is a staple for me and the blend here has a strong flavor. The Rooibos Chai is very good and doesn't have the Rooibos after taste that my tastebuds do not like. My only recommendation would be a dish to hold the leaves after an adequate amount of steeping time. I've taken to using the to-go coffee lids to hold the mesh strainer and tea leaves. I haven't had a chance to partake in the beer and wine selection, but hope to soon. There is a quite and extensive list to choose from! Staff has always been friendly and the background music perfect in the evenings. I love that the tables are larger than the usual small cafe tables. I can have a giant textbook and a notebook spread out while working. The loveseat in front of the fireplace is popular. One of these days i'll get to enjoy with a good book and a cup of coffee.

I pulled into the drive-thru around 1:15pm on a Thursday afternoon. With no other customers behind me in line, I told the employee I had never been to Scooter's and asked about what she recommended. She was super friendly and gave me several ideas. Ultimately I chose the Iced Turtle Latte, but had it Almond Joy flavored instead. I learned that you can ask for all sorts flavors that mimic your favorite candy bar. Neat. The drink was very tasty and the whipped cream and chocolate drizzle was perfectly executed. Scooter's as a much bigger menu than I thought. Can we talk about the cute sticker? I didn't know this was a Scooter's signature thing until I researched their website. As a self-proclaimed sticker lover and long-time collector of stickers, this is very cool. I definitely plan to return. I feel like I'm semi shopping local because Scooter's is a Nebraska based business. :) Outstanding customer service, large variety of items on the menu, competitive prices. Don't forget to tip the employees. Recommend.
