This is a cute little restaurant. My husband and I shared a Mixed Berry crepe and a James Dean crepe. Both were very delicious. The atmosphere is very cute, but the metal chairs are a little uncomfortable. There is Paris decor throughout the restaurant (including the restrooms and the music). Tried this place the other day and it was pretty mediocre. Although, my friend enjoyed her meal, the rest of us didn't. The prices to me were overpriced for the amount that these crepes were stuffed. We also shared a dessert crepe and it was tasty but again could have had way more filling for the price. Went there for brunch wth my wife on a weekday. Arrived at 11am. Ordered latte and mocha, mixed berry for my wife and Garlic&parmesan salmon myself. Coffee tasted like powder mix. It was horrible. Crepe did not look like freshly made and tasted like frozen food. Mixed berry tasted like defrosted frozen fruit. Only the salmon was ok. Service was ok. I did not expect authentic French taste of it. However, they should get at least crepe itself right and should not use frozen fruits if they wish to use French in their name... It was stupid to pay $38 dollars for frozen berry crepe and ok salmon crepe and two horrible coffee. read more

Fantastic place for crepes. I was super happy they were able to accommodate some of the items on their menu. The wait was little to none for us not having made reservations. We actually used a Groupon which they were happy to administer on our tab and we paid the difference. I was overall happy with the swift service and how fast the food came out. This is a fabulous spot for brunch. They have a nice selection of both sweet and savory crepes. I went on a Sunday afternoon. It was crowded, but service was very speedy. My crepe was perfect and they also offer a few different juice selections, so there's more to choose from that merely orange juice. Very quaint and cozy appearance street view. Inside the staff were very friendly and attentive. The decor flaunted the love of Paris, along with the love of good company. The table was very wobbly, which the server fixed by shoving a shim under the leg. I wasn't thrilled about that. The bathroom was around 32 degrees F. Which has to be the coldest indoor bathroom I've ever used. On to the food. The coffee was great, and I believe real cream, or maybe half-and-half was provided. We ordered 3 crepe dishes; The Deja Vu, Old Woodward, and Mixed Berry. The Deja Vu is represented using "hot-smoked salmon" but it was clearly broiled, or baked. The Old Woodward contained pan seared tofu, but most pieces were hardly considered "seared." The Mixed Berry was filled nicely with fresh berries, but then served with frozen store bought whip cream. If I am paying $10.25 for 1 crepe, I do not think it is too much to ask for fresh whip cream. Overall, I think the ambiance is friendly, cozy, and very Parisian. Eh. I would give 4 stars for effort but because of price and taste, I have to give to a 3. We started off with the cripsies with asparagus and mushroom con queso which looked amazing. However, they were only ok. Nothing special and tasted like it was missing something. We also ordered a basic salad which was pretty good though! We both had vegetarian crepes. Mine was the standby I believe. The asparagus in it SO SALTY and ruined the whole thing I thing and the stuff inside was lukewarm. My boyfriend had the mushroom one which was just way too much mushroom. I have to admit though that I enjoyed the crepe part of it though. The texture and taste were just right. Finally, we got an apple dessert crepe and this is where this place stood out. That was my favorite part of the meal. I always feel like I have the best luck ordering sweet, not savory crepes. Only complaint was it was too sweet. The ambiance in here is nice which is what is expected for a place in downtown Royal Oak. Oh and the service was good! Overall, the food is too expensive (crepes in the $8-$16 range) based on how it tasted. If you can afford the time to go to the Little Crepe and Pierogi Kitchen in Wyandotte, you should. The crepes there are $5 for sweet and $6 for savory. They don't have as many "high end" fancy ingredients like avocado, but they are very good nonetheless (although the crepes there are more like pancakes). read more

I went on Snday around 11am last week with my husband. We have been checking out crepe restaurants in the area for awhile and this was our first time to try here. Dont come here hungry because their service is SUPER SLOW. Taste is good, but it seemed like the portion varies quite a lot. My crepe was like half the size of the ones the table next to us were getting. I have been trying 2 crepes a week from different places for the past 2 moths and it smaller than other restaurants that serve crepe as well. This is a relatively easy 5 star review for me. My girlfriend treated me to this place (there is a groupon for it, so check it out). She had a Salmon/asparagus skillet and crepe and I had the James Dean crepe (egg, sausage, cheddar, and potato). It's about $12-14 per meal here. The coffee (which I enjoyed) is $2.75. Food: Tasted phenomenal. I loved it. It was very filling. If you leave here hungry, that's your fault. A James Dean crepe should make a happy customer. My girlfriend love hers, as well. It was priced reasonably. I wouldn't have heartache for paying their prices. Very fair. Service: Service started out a little slow and unresponsive, but picked up. They could improve a little on this area (especially for routine drink refilling). But it wasn't so bad that I'd knock a star or say that it was bad. The servers were indeed friendly and very pleasant. Environment: It's a cute little restaurant playing French music. It's different. I liked it. It was very casual, very relaxing. Don't change a thing. I love the hardwood floors and the setup. Parking: They don't have customer parking. But there is a deck just past it that's very cheap. And in Royal Oak, this is a plus. This place should definitely be AT LEAST 4 stars!! It seems most of the negative reviews are from the previous owners. I have been here twice now and plan to make this my go to brunch spot. It is BYOA (Bring Your Own Alcohol) which is amazing and one of the only places I have seen do this in Michigan! They even chill your bottles until you're ready for them. We recently went with a group of 7 people and brought a number of bottles. They took them to the back and brought them out two bottles at a time chilled in ice. There is also not a corking fee like most places. All they ask is that you pay for the mixers (orange juice, soda, etc.). The food is sooo good! So delicious! Huge servings for a great price. We actually went during restaurant week and got 3 courses for only $15. The 3 courses was in reality 2 large meals! We had a blast and plan to go back quite often! ***This is one of the few black owned restaurants in Royal Oak as well which is another huge reason to support it!! read more

It came out oozing caramel sauce and bubbling.The caramel sauce, the toasted caramel pecans and bananas tasted amazing, per my daddy. The whole thing was dry as a bone. Also ordered a cappuccino, my date got a latte. Mine tasted like it had more cream in it. Both were served in regular coffee cups, filled about 1/2 way (a whopping 4oz of coffee), for $3.50. The prices on their online menu are wrong. Their mochachino is $4.50 not $2.00. We went in on a Saturday around 10:30 which is probably one of their busier times. Although the food took some time, it was delicious and well worth the wait. The waitress was very nice and paid very good attention to all of her tables. The crepe et le sauce had egg, cheese, and caramelized onions, topped with sausage gravy and the mixed berry crepe was filled with fresh berry compote and topped with raspberry sauce. We weren't sure where to go for breakfast and came across Le Crepe. We love crepes so we decided to give it a try. It was pretty quiet when we walked in so we got a table right away. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. We started off with waters and ordered our food. We wanted to get something else to drink but nobody came back until our food was brought out and by then what's the point. In the meantime parties kept coming in and it started to fill up. It seems like we waited a long time for our food especially when some of the newer tables got their food right after we did. I ordered the mushroom crepe and it tasted ok but not worth $13 with no sides or anything. I was still hungry afterwards. Healthy fresh meals are served wrapped in delectable light fluffy crepes that hit the spot fairly well and provides the patron of the feeling of a meal with many more courses. Stopped in on a whim for lunch and decided to try one of the "crepe pizza" lunch specials. The sauce was amazing (it was all good, but pizza sauce is one of those things I'm particular about so when it's done well, I'm impressed). The atmosphere is cozy and warm, as was the service. I was greeted warmly and not "rushed out" when I dawdled a bit, killing time, reading my book (not that the place was packed, but still). The only downside was that I'm probably a little spoiled and think $2 for a Bigelow tea is a bit much (I hadn't expected a bag of Bigelow when I ordered green tea!) -- but at least it came well presented with honey, cream, and lemon, so there was that.
