We had the place on our own when we had lunch in this dreamy place at the penthouse of W5th. Modern yet classic, I must say the irony blended well. Romantic but not boring. Complimentary breads and small appetizers were served and the timing of every food we ordered was well observed (appetizers - mains). Also you'll notice a wine cellar where they keep some of their fresh flowers which I find very refreshing.
I love everything we ate but cant discuss all the details here so here are my faves: for appetizers, i liked the three way foie gras and the quinoa and kale salad which is actually already a meal for me. For the mains, the braised beef cheeks with seared foie gras stood out for me. It's rich but not overpowering then comes the swordfish where you can really taste the fish. I ordered as well chicken with truffle cream that was salty (for me) but then they replaced it with a better one which i really liked.
Overall, the experience was great from the ambiance to their service and their food. I'll probably be back here for dinner to see BGC at night. Also a plus to the smokers, they have a smoking lounge! read more
