The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed, a bench, two chairs, and both a small and large table. Overall, the room itself was nice. The downside was the bedding. There was no top sheet on the bed, and I was told the hotel does not wash the duvet after every guest's stay. That means you're essentially sleeping under a blanket that may not have been freshly cleaned, which I found very concerning. My room also had no view and no dresser or drawers to unpack my clothes, which made longer stays less convenient. Parking was another disappointment. It cost $38 per day for self-parking, or $56 per day if you needed in-and-out privileges, which felt excessive. Overall, the room was comfortable, but the bedding policy and high parking fees would make me think twice about staying here again. read more

This is a 4-star hotel really wanting to be a 2-3 star hotel. Starting with phone call to the front desk the night before check-in to our Ambassador Suite ($1,100 per night). I called to find out information about our stay. I was greeted by someone at the front desk who not only talked incredibly fast, he also sounded like he didn't want to talk to me and was hoping I would just hang up. It got me a little flustered and I got some information from him, however after thinking more about our stay, I had to call back about an hour later to ask further questions. When I did call again, I was met with someone that sounded like the same person with the same demeanor. I took my time asking my questions and getting more detailed answers than the first time I called and was more satisfied the second go-around. The day of arrival was fairly standard, except for running out of tissue paper early in the afternoon. I had to go down to the front desk to ask for more which was delivered while we were out and about in Georgetown. The evening came around and we were wanting room service. We couldn't find a phone number list to the hotel amenities. Every hotel I've ever stayed at had a phone list for different hotel amenities. We called the front desk and got no answer (we did this twice over a 15 minute period). We waited and thought it was too late to eat anyway, so we decided to wait until breakfast to eat. Lastly, we were preparing the sofa bed for sleeping. We found no blankets or pillows other than what was on the king bed. I had to go downstairs to ask for them. Minutes later, we get a phone call from someone saying they can bring two extra pillows, but no blankets. The hotel was 'out' of blankets and "housekeeping was closed." Apparently, the night manager didn't have a key to get the things we needed--not to mention the housekeeping crew didn't prepare our room as it needed before we arrived. A kind gentlemen, Richard, brought our pillows and a couple of non-fitted sheets. I pointed to the sofa bed to show him the mattress was only wrapped in plastic and that a hotel having no extra blankets was unacceptable. I also reminded him that even 2-star hotels have at least one extra blanket in the room. He apologized sincerely. I was pretty pissed and as I started on this review, he returned knocking on our door and had two blankets to give us. He said he found them hidden away somewhere. After looking at them and seeing they were clean, I told him how appreciative I was for his effort and shook his hand. If it wasn't for him, I was going to go speak with the night manager to tell him we were checking out immediately and I was going to call my credit card company to file a complaint and request a refund of my payment. Richard had me change my mind about doing that. He is to be applauded for sure, but not Le Meridian Arlington. I do NOT recommend booking here. Go to a less expensive hotel, where you will get better and more consistent service with their level of stated quality. You'll thank me later. read more

I feel like you can never go wrong with Malin and Goetz toiletries, they smell amazing! The elevator has a curated playlist, I enjoyed every time I stepped into the elevator. This was my first Le Meridien and certainly not my last. It is my second "wow" hotel stay in Arlington so am now wondering if maybe it is this area is super nice? I really enjoyed the layout and decorations of the lobby floor (which is the I believe 4th floor). It was a but confusing when entering from the main ground level entrance, but just hop in the elevator and go to the fourth floor and the lobby checkin is right there. There is a restaurant and bar around the corner from the lobby area that I would recommend. I tried multiple dinner options as well as their breakfast and was pleasantly surprised (deets in the separate restaurant review). Parking was super confusing since the garage is shared with the condo owners in the same building (floors 1-3 and I think 11+). A shared gym area, between hotel guests and condo residents), is on the 3rd floor. Room was ver comfy and super relaxing. View was into another high rise building nearby and also the river view. I enjoyed my recent stay at Le Meridian. The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk was friendly. You enter and have to go up to the 4th floor to check in and from there use a separate set of elevators to get to your room, so this adds a level of safety to the hotel. There are a few things within walking distance of this hotel but you are right over the water from DC. I would stay again here. read more

This hotel is listed as a 4star Marriott hotel but definitely does NOT live up to the Marriott standards. First of all, we checked in, were only given 3 food vouchers and told that each voucher is for 2 people; WRONG, the cafe said 1 per person, so I had to go back to have that rectified. In addition, I paid extra to have breakfast provided and all we get is a couple pieces of toast and small bowl of fruit???? What is this???? Breakfast for a starving child? Unacceptable. On the final day, I paid extra out of my pocket to get more for breakfast, ordered pancakes for me and my partner ordered scrambled eggs. The pancakes were like eating a dry yellow cake cake. I couldn't even finish them, they were so dry and gross. The eggs weren't worthy of any comment really. The Amuse staff acted like we were inconveniencing them to be there. In the room - The room was clean, which was nice, but we only got 1 water each day after cleaning came through. We had to go to the front desk each day to get more water. The water pressure for this hotel was terrible! The shower handle was broken too, and there was no shelf or anything to put your shower things you use while in the shower. Overall, although a clean hotel in a good location, that is the extent of the positive. I would not stay here again. The hotel is situated in such a convenient location! Located right across the street from the Metro station, it makes commuting throughout Norther Virginia and into D.C. incredibly simple. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were very supportive and the pillows were nice and plush. The bathroom was also decently sized. Overall, I had a good experience with staying here. For ease of transportation, I would definitely recommend people to come stay here. It is a bit pricey, but you get a good comfortable room and the convenience of being steps away from public transportation. I lived nearby at another retched place called Instrata Pentagon City for 2 years, but I almost lived at the Turnberry Tower near this hotel and I always wanted to stay at it but never had a reason. Then I moved and now I had a reason. I try to find the good in hotels but after Marriott charged me $231.13 because I missed the 3 day window by 48 minutes after an accident changed my travel plans - here we go: The hotel is old. The entrance is difficult to navigate with bags and very small for multiple vehicles and you have to take an elevator to the lobby floor. The lobby is dark and worn out. The room has a malfunctioning shower and needs a reservation. It was dated and uncomfortable. The chair was dusty and needs a larger trashcan. The elevators all stopped working in the evening. I'm writing this review during my stay (Oct 1-3) I'll update after I checkout on Sunday afternoon. Pros: Front deal agents were really nice and personable. The lobby is nice and dimly lit which I appreciate. I hate hotels that are lit up like a hospital all the time. The Amuse bar/restaurant was nicely decorated. Pretty swanky. I enjoyed a glass of red blend while I waited for my room. They have a really sexy lounge area just before you get to Amuse. Really nice A1. Cons: Rooms are supposed to be ready by 3:00 pm for checkin. My room was t ready until almost 6:00 pm. My guess is that the two drink tickets to front desk agent gave me was to accommodate me for the wait I checked my bank account the morning after I checked in only to see that my account had been authorized twice, so holding an additional almost $400 I call the front desk this morning only for the gentleman working to act like ‍ his response was "I see we did authorize your card twice, but it's nothing we can do you have to call your bank." TF?! No apology, nothing poor customer service. I ordered room service and it was HORRIBLE. The salmon mini burgers the buns were soggy and wet from the moisture in the container which lets me know that my food had been sitting, as if the cold rubbery fries didn't signal that. We ordered wings as well and they were cold and barely tossed in hot sauce. Can you say bare minimum! We threw it all out. So that another $30 wasted at Le' Meridian Let's get into this King room. Overall not a bad room for the weekend. Clean and looks to be following COVID protocol as it relates to cleanings. The bed is comfortable ‍ My biggest complaint is that little ass bathroom. Geesh! No tub, which I'm fine with. The shower is mad small (see attached photo) and when and why are we still using pedestal sinks?!! Small and useless, water splashes everywhere, the sinks is draining slow, only a thin self on the wall for your personals (my boo couldn't even put his stuff up there). Now to the toilet...do better! So instead of changing the old toilet seat, the decision was too paint it! I hate it here. At these rates I'm sure replacing a toilet seat cover won't bankrupt you. Disappointments and broken promises: They earn two stars because the decor, interior design, is comfortable and engaging, the muzak is good, and the hotel was very clean. However, I regret staying here. I was looking for a restorative two days and enjoying the upgrades along with a comfy view of fireworks, but I wasted my time, energy, and money. I will warn people not to patronize this Le Meridien or Marriott until they synchronize Their hotel managerment with their own Marriott reservation phone line, and the falsely advertised amenities. Hotel management really needs to get it together here and demand that they and corporate are aligned. It seems they are basically operating in Uninformed contradiction to one another. From alleged high end products that are advertised throughout the hotel but are nonexistent, to hotel upgrade packages that are completely unavailable even though the outsourced reservation phone line offers and charges you for them. [see photos] Also the hotel staff need to be trained on informing guests about the confusing on-site parking garage instead of just claiming ignorance. *Noteworthy is that there is no food or drink available in the hotel other than between 7AM and 10 AM... Also The hotel has no convenience items like aspirin Which I needed at night. They do have a vending machine with basic beverages and snacks. ------------------Here ends the summary. The following is mostly for my personal record and for sharing with hotel management and corporate. *In order to make this hotel stay worth my while instead of just Watching fireworks from my car, I called the hotels direct line in order to ensure a good view, and I put a lot of time in researching local hotels specifically for this purpose. However the reservation line for Le Meridien/Marriott is outsourced so the people there apparently do not have an accurate or updated menu of what is available at the hotel. I suspected just as the phone operator did that the hotel services would be limited. However I was informed that upgrade packages were available, so I purchased the Lovers upgrade Which was to include chocolate covered strawberry champagne and an American breakfast for two, and I also was promised a room on one of the highest available floors with a view overlooking the national capital. The person on the phone offered this as if it was a certain availability. Needless to say I was initially thrilled, but when I arrived at the hotel , the desk "concierge?" did nothing except offer me to join the rewards program and gave me my card and had me sign the forms. When I got to the room and realized the view was neither on a higher level, nor oriented Toward the capital I was bothered, and thought perhaps the desk worker made an oversight. So I went back downstairs and the manager was there, who gave me the bad news. She did her best by telling me that no such upgrades were available, neither rooms with a better view, nor The food etc. At first she mentioned she could have someone bring up some chocolates and a bottle of champagne to the room, But instead she made me wait 10 minutes while she went into the kitchen herself to get the champagne on ice and two bars of chocolate. Because apparently the hotel only has 2-3 staff working at a time. I'm not sure How "I'm not in a rush " translates into "wait here For 10 minutes so I can make you carry all the stuff back to your room yourself" *I did appreciate the manager being able to take $50 off of my bill for the disappointment, however even though my upgrade it was to include 4 PM late checkout, both of our key cards were deactivated at noon the next day so I got locked out of my room and the gym And had to go to the front desk to get a new key card. *Supposedly there are Malin + Goetz products available as the hotel features ads on all their key cards and free standing setting cards in the rooms. The bath products are a generic " Eco" brand Even in the more expensive room I paid for. The desk staff I have no idea why these ads were up, and no idea about the Malin + Goetz products ... I just got a blank stare. Coffee makers are $10 a night And microwaves or $20 a night. Other hotel guests were angry about this as well as they have recently stayed in the same hotel somewhere else very recently and we're not charge for these amenities. * The elevators are confusing as you have to use three separate elevator banks coming from the parking garage. Also the hotel staff know nothing about the garage which has very few and very difficult to find unreserved spaces . Even though it's in the same building as the hotel they just say "we don't own the garage." even mediocre guest service would have hotel staff learn about the parking garage in order to not make guests arrival a hassle while trying to find a space in the labyrinthine Garage where most of the spaces have a reserved sign and there are no signs whatsoever indicating hotel parking. read more

I reached out to the hotel to let them know immediately and they stated they'd research and let me know what they find. It's been a month and still haven't heard anything from them. I went here for a conference in the 4th floor. It is conveniently located at downtown Rosslyn so anybody from Washington, DC can easily commute to this place. It is easily accessible also by Metro or Bus. The entrance is very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and the food was really great. They served Caesar Salad, pasta, salmon, and chicken. The food was better than the typical hotel food. The dessert consisted of Cannolis and cake which were both delicious. Restrooms were very clean. Overall, the experience was really great. Sound system was not too loud and the projectors were visible on both sides of the room. I highly recommend this place for future conferences for approximately 100 people especially medical conferences. There is also a hotel upstairs for those who are coming from out of town. read more

Horrible experience with this property - I booked and paid an emergency stay for my daughter who needed a place to stay for one night and the hotel refused to let her check in citing their absolutely ridiculous policy of demanding minimum age of 21 years old. They were happy to send an 18-year old in distress with a fully paid room out on the street than make an exception to their idiotic policy. What country is this that a legal adult who is able to vote and can be sent to war to die, cannot check in a hotel room that they paid for? A very convenient all purpose hotel overlooking Key bridge and Georgetown University. They have a clean and open restaurant and beautiful patio overlooking the Potomac. It is a perfect place for access to Roslyn Metro, and a run down the C&O Canal and up the Exorcist stairs. A convenient parking lot right below the hotel is perfect as a winter vortex has thrown a monkey wrench into my plans for the Christmas & Holiday Season 2022. I am a physician and this was one of the most concerning public health experiences that I have ever had at a hotel. I unfortunately checked into this hotel with my 4 month old and was placed in room 920 at this hotel where there were a few public health concerns with the room. 1) the room smelt musky mixed with the iron rich smell of old blood and we actually found a blood stain on the carpet, 2) there was black mold found in the corner of the room and diffuse water damage throughout the accommodation, 3) there was no soaps available at all in the room, no cups and the sanitary items were missing as well. Honestly this was truly a nightmare situation with an infant and two tired parents. Please consider alternatives if you had the option--we had to leave early the next morning and hotel staff refused to provide a refund for our stay sadly. . Stayed here during my trip to DC during this Christmas. We decided to choose a hotel in Arlington as you get the best hotels at a very affordable price. It not too far from the famous Washington monuments as well. The parking is not free here but affordable compared to other places. They have a valet parking, which is a bit expensive, but the garage is in the basement so its better you do a self parking as its saves you $$. The parking here is on hourly basis, we paid $24 for 2 night & funny part is we paid $14 for like 6 hrs ( we took our car outside, so you are billed during your exit). On arrival at the hotel, the 1st/ground floor is just has elevators that leads you to 4th floor where the actual hotel reception is. We were checked in immediately. The lady at the reception was friendly & welcoming and being our first visit to DC, gave us a lot of information regarding local travel metro routes, flyers etc. Our room was the standard king bed room, which was pretty decent and clean, it was very nice and comfortable All the basic amenities where present. The room service was great as well. They have a bar/restaurant called Amuse which is pretty decent. Apart from that there are a lot of eateries just around 1 or 2 blocks from the hotel. Metro station is also 2 blocks away that connects directly to Washington. Since its a hassle to park in the city, we used Uber and Lyft to travel, which were very convenient and costed us $3-$5 . read more

This hotel is severely outdated. We only stayed 2 nights and I'm so glad. The entrance is weird. You walk in but then take an elevator to the front desk which was underwhelming. I've stayed at a few different Le Meridien hotels and this is by far the worst. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and the push button in the shower would pop all the way out when the shower was turned off. And the television channel options where extremely limited. Ok, so to be frank, we usually only stay in 4- or 5-star hotels when we are obligated (for a wedding or event), or when we get a SCREAMING deal on it. In this case, it was the latter. We scored an amazing deal on a third-party website and paid a fraction of the standard rate for our room. I was especially glad of this when we got here and realized we would be paying $25-40 per night for parking ($25 Fri & Sat, $40 Sun-Thurs). Even with the parking price, we still came out on top for the overall nightly price, so we didn't freak out (we were caught unawares with the higher parking price last time we stayed in downtown Seattle, so we knew it was not unheard of). We booked a king bed room but were originally checked into a room with two queens. Considering we are here for a weekend away from the kids, that was not optimal, so we called down and asked after a room with a king bed, as we had expected. They looked at our reservation, apologized, and told us that their standard king rooms (which we had booked) were filled out but they would be happy to put us in a view room with a king bed (an upgrade), no problem. We went down and they swapped out our key, no issue, all smiles. Overall I have no complaints. The front desk was quick and courteous, the bar staff was friendly, and rooms are super clean, comfy, and stylish! I wish it didn't cost $18 to watch a movie, but hey, can't have it all. :) BRUNCH: While I did not love the brunch, it is NOT reflected in the star rating because the hotel restaurant has its own Yelp! page, so I will weigh in there regarding stars... BUT... So we did enjoy their breakfast/brunch at their trendy in-hotel restaurant and it was pretty good. Not great; pretty good. Had it been priced it bit lower, I might have felt differently but the only thing that really separated it from a good quality "continental" style breakfast that many hotels include for all guests (for free) is the availability of smoked salmon and a kind-of-caprese (no basil?) ... oh, and the $21/person price tag. The part that was hardest to swallow - literally - was the coffee. It tasted as though it had been brewed very early and sat in a holding pot for a very long time. So bitter. read more

Either Way, the service was fantastic and the staff are helpful. I wanted to do something special for my wife so I asked the restaurant if they can provide chocolate covered strawberries as a surprise. Check in wasn't the greatest experience as the reservation system was down and made for a long uncertain wait and some ripple effects from that thru the weekend. I stayed here for two nights during a work trip. Every time I visit Washington DC, I try to stay in a different area to provide myself with a different experience and perspective. I had stayed at a Le Meridian a few times in different locations and always enjoyed my time there. I found a great rate and secured it about a month before my arrival. I arrived late, and I was checked in by Wendell who was so nice and took his time explaining the property to me as well as offering me free breakfast vouchers to honor my status with Marriott. Unfortunately I had worked up quite the appetite traveling all day and I was looking to grab a quick bite at the hotel. That evening it was completely reserved for a wedding party so hotel guests weren't able to eat there. Wendell let me know that it would be open to the next morning for breakfast and later that evening for dinner. He also explained that there were a few places to eat within walking distance, nearby and that it was safe to walk alone at night. Trusting him I followed his advice and I found a nearby salad place that was delicious. I was upgraded to a king suite on a higher floor and it was beautiful and spacious with a nice view of the city. The location is mostly industrial so there's not too much to do nearby. If you like to walk you could probably walk to certain things but if you wanted to cruise over to Georgetown it would be better to take a car. There's a few restaurants nearby but that's pretty much it. I enjoyed breakfast both mornings at the hotel restaurant and the food was yummy, but they were extremely understaffed and I definitely had to wait around a lot. Adrian, my server, was great. They also have a coffee bar that's advertised but nobody works at it. Nobody's there at the host stand either. The experience would've been a lot better if there were a few more staff members there. I also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening. Since it was a weekend, their restaurant wasn't open so you had to eat in the lounge. There's not a lot of lounge seating whatsoever so I had to share the main bar station with other people. The bartender was nice enough to put on the football game for us so it ended up being fine. I ordered brussel sprouts and salmon and they were both delicious. It took about 20 minutes to come out but it was prepared beautifully and tasted delicious. The service was good, too. This was another situation in which the bartender was also the server. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and although I likely won't be returning because I like to switch up where I stay, it does come recommended for my fellow Yelpers. read more

I stayed at Le Meridien Arlington recently when I came to Arlington for a business trip. My primary reason for staying here was because it is adjacent to CEB Waterview Conference Center where I was attending a conference. Not only was it was walking distance but there's a walkway right on the 4th floor that links the hotel to the conference center. It was so convenient and perfect! The main lobby and restaurant of the hotel is actually also on the 4th floor. From the 4th floor are the elevators that go the main rooms or the neighboring condominiums. Room wise , the rooms have views overlooking the Potomac river. I had small view of Georgetown as well. Amenities include free bottled water in the rooms and free coffee and tea in the lobby in the mornings. Service at the hotel was good. I have to give a shoutout to the front desk because they were super helpful. Overall this was a good place to stay and I had a pleasant experience. read more

We decided to have my mom's 80th birthday at Le Meridien - Amuse Restaurant. It was Thanksgiving weekend so we were worried. But the hotel staff really stepped up. The event was a huge success! Thanks to Viridiana, Adonis, Adais, Maria, and Rose. It was a home run! We will definitely be back to that great hotel. read more

Was in the area for an office party and found this hotel on a Hotwire deal. Bonus was I'm an elite status with Marriott so was super excited. Don't get me wrong the room was great. The water was extremely hot for our showers so A+++. But stripping the bed this morning and finding a hand towel covering what appears as a pee spot and the mattress cover put on top was t exactly a thrilling moment for me especially loving the Marriott brand as I do. I was grossed out that the housekeeping would have done this at all!! read more

I decided to stay in Arlington for the weekend and chose this hotel for my stay. Located right near the key bridge close to Georgetown, it seemed like the perfect place. Upon arrival, I chose to self park my car instead of the $40 valet. The screwed up part about this is that they don't tell you that you have to pay everytime you leave the garage if you don't valet. They told me that self parking was $30 a day. Luckily for me, I planned to Uber everywhere anyway. The room and hotel seemed clean. The staff not unfriendly, nor particularly helpful. Expensive wifi in the room, quiet bar scene on the weekend. The restaurant has weird hours on the weekend, so you have to pay attention if you plan to dine in. All of these things were annoying to me, but probably okay for others. I ended up paying only $27 for parking instead of the $60 that they told me at check in. Not sure why, but happy for the discount especially since my stay was just okay. 3 Stars... read more

I had high hopes for this hotel, it being a Starwood property and all (we are SPG members) but overall it was kind of disappointing. Not a total disaster, but not good enough for is to stay again. The hotel looks really nice and modern and looks well taken care of. The room was nice. We had a double (Queen beds) because we were traveling with our six year old daughter. The beds were comfy although the pillows were kind of lumpy. The bathroom was of standard size and there was room for toiletries which is good because I don't travel light. The sink and tub were a disaster. The cold water at the sink was fine, but when you switched over to hot water, it was a mere trickle. I will post a video. The tub was terrible too. The water drained way too slowly so you were left to shower in several inches of standing water. We brought it the to attention of the front desk who sent someone up. He ran the water for about five seconds and said it was working just fine. My husband then showed him what happens after about two minutes, and sure enough, it started to collect without draining. He didn't really do much about it but it was our last day there so that was that. We had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and they do not know how to properly cook an egg. I ordered one egg, over medium (solid whites, runny yolk) and got back a well done egg. I politely sent it back and got yet another fully cooked egg. The third time was a charm but by this point by bacon and toast were ice cold. The waitress was nice enough to remove my meal and my daughter's from the bill without prompting. We visit DC regularly and chose this hotel because it was convenient to both my sister in the district and some friends in Virginia. However, we will choose a different Starwood property in the future. We will most likely stick with our usual, The Westin. One last random thing to add: their downstairs lobby (where you enter off the street) smells delicious!!! read more

Very classy hotel located conveniently right outside DC in a lovely neighborhood. Luxury apartments are located on the upper floors. The decor is modern and staff are all amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms are superb, comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom. I highly recommend spending a night or more at this gem of a hotel. read more
