Stayed here while in town for a wedding. The suite was great, lots of space. Crabtree and Evelyn amenities, I love it. The breakfast is the best, everything you could imagine. The evening snack not the same as our usual Embassy Suite, just veges, dips, and chips and an ok wine. Everyone got snowed in for the weekend, including staff. Xavier is to be thanked for taking care of people in the restaurant. We had dinner one night and Ebony ran her feet off, so professional. read more

The hotel has a lot going for it. The location is excellent, the complimentary breakfast was one of the better Embassy Suites breakfasts I've had, and it's a great option for families with spacious rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, my stay was overshadowed by issues with my reservation. I even called a few days before arriving to confirm everything was in order, but there was still a mix-up when I checked in. I didn't make a big deal out of it and just went with the flow, even though it meant having to switch rooms midway through my stay. During the room change, a couple of personal items were accidentally left behind. The night before checking out, I called the front desk to ask if anything had been turned in or if someone could quickly check my previous room. I was told the housekeeping manager had already left for the day, was the only person with access to the lost and found, and that no one could check the room before I departed the next morning. Despite providing detailed descriptions of the missing items and exactly where they had been left, they were never recovered. That was disappointing, especially for a Hilton Honors Gold member. Given the hotel's location directly across from the Ritz-Carlton, I expected a higher level of service when it came to resolving a simple lost-and-found issue. The location and breakfast were great, but the reservation mix-up and lack of follow-through left a sour impression. Next time, I'll likely book across the street at the Ritz instead. read more

I had a unique experience here. I arrived around 9:30am on my checkin day and was just hoping to leave my car. I stopped at the front desk to asked about that possibility sharing that I wouldn't be back until very late and the front desk agent shared that I'd better checkin now because they probably wouldn't have rooms left if I arrived late. (Shrug) Ok! I appreciated that, I suppose. She got me checked in and explained ALL the things and there are a LOT of things to explain at this property. The property fee, the concessions, the manager's reception, breakfast, parking, etc. I parked and returned to the hotel around 11:55pm. I spent my $25 credit in the sundry shop on sour patch kids before heading to my room. I arrived at my room on the second floor in the corner. I found I must have been put in an executive room as the first thing I saw was a massive boardroom table. Which was...fine. My room looked out over the street and I was mildly concerned about street noise but I slept like a rock. Things in the room seemed somewhat outdated; certainly not the newest that Embassy has to offer but none of that really mattered in the 9 hours I was there. Breakfast was standard. The breakfast area (seating and dining) was scaled up to the size of the property which was important (though the omelet line was still very long). This was one of the cheaper hotel in the area (relatively speaking) and I think I see why. That being said, I'd stay here again. read more

I have mixed feelings about this location. I tend to stay at Embassy Suites, as they're pretty cost efficient for the value they give; free breakfast, spacious rooms etc. I appreciate the upgrades in the rooms that this location offers. And the property itself is beautifully maintained. My issues are mainly with the staff. Every morning at breakfast I encountered staff who were rude, seemed agitated, and were generally unpleasant. I'm an honors member, so staff members were texting me asking if I needed anything and how my stay was going. I spent two days requesting towels through text. They were never delivered, and I eventually went to the front desk and asked to have them sent up. No problem. But what's the point of the text service if no one responds? Parking is upwards of $70/night. Which is a complete rip off. There's a garage across the street that is $15/night, where I parked. You can see the garage from the hotel. It's about a 2min walk. There were screaming kids everywhere running the halls, in the pools unsupervised, in the gym slamming equipment, you name it. Again, for the value it may be worth it if you don't mind those types of inconveniences, but the staff is overall inattentive. read more

I love being a tourist in downtown DC And it's even better when you have a great place to stay. We enjoyed a staycation not far from home which allowed us to relax and take a break. The associates were friendly and the suites were really big and well maintained. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool before the crowds. So fun and would highly recommend. Our stay was great. Employees were very friendly. It's an older property that could use some updating, like many Embassy's, but the location is great. The bar and social hour was one of the best. The happy hour prices were great. The bartenders, Rachelle, Mikayla, and Jose were exceptional! They we very welcoming to all, friendly, fun and the best part of our stay each evening. The interior is beautiful and our room was more like a condo than a suite! We got king suite.. there was a living room with couch, tv and dining room table/desk. In middle was a small kitchenette with tea and coffee and small fridge with sink then bedroom. Shower had built in dispensers for shampoo and conditioner and body wash. Parking area costs money but you kinda get it back in vouchers for one drink at bar and meal ..they also had an indoor pool. Every morning there was a breakfast buffet and a line where you can have omelet made or eggs made way you want if not wanting buffet eggs. The only complaint was that they did not have enough staff to clean tables. There was a good crowd and it was hard get clean table .. most sat awhile with dirty dishes on them. I forgot one other thing.. 3 elevators only 2 worked and they were going pretty slow.. a patron in first one we rode warned us taking stairs was faster. The staff we ran into treated us very well and were very accommodating from kitchen to bar and front desk.. even maids were very nice said hello when we'd pass in the halls. I highly recommend this hotel to families with children and even small children. Everything is conveniently located and the rooms all have a living room space. The continental breakfast is included but you will be sick of it after the first day. The pool was the highlight for our family as well as the location - 15 mins by Uber/lyft to any of the museums or landmarks. The train station is manageable but I didn't for this trip! There is a Walgreens if you need essentials as well as supermarket with fresh product if you need real food!! I highly recommend this hotel if you can! read more

Location excellent, 10 minutes from Dupont Circle or Foggy Botton Metro stations (different lines - get a map). I visited the Smithsonian and restaurants. DC is very walkable and I walked to the WH area. (But lots of snow and ice.). Hotel has excellent breakfast, OK dining, excellent fitness room. Accommodation was excellent. I got bumped up to the corner suite this time for my diamond status and they had availability and the room was huge! Beware scam fees and charges! Not one, but two! I caught them trying to charge me a bogus "restaurant" fee. I never went to their restaurant, and it wasn't on my booking receipt, so thankfully they took it off. Alas, these petty thieves still insisted on charging an extra half a dollar for some other bogus fee, refused to honor the booking receipt THEY GAVE ME, and took it out of my deposit. The front desk said my booking receipt was wrong, and they had to charge me this extra money because they did this to everyone! So now you know - you cannot trust their receipts, and they will not honor their own paperwork. Once is a coincidence, but twice is a pattern. The hotel itself was fine, but their shameless attempts at skimming and blatant dishonesty are totally unacceptable. read more

Wild to me that an Embassy Suites was cheaper than a Hampton Inn but it was and it gave us an opportunity to stay in something a little nicer. This is my second time in an Embassy Suites - the other in SF. So I knew the drill of the reception that's free in evenings and the free higher grade breakfast in the mornings. I really like the rooms in these - a living room out front and a bedroom in the back. Two TVS is very convenient if you have more people or want to delineate things. Room was clean - food was good - and even though the guy out front was pushy when I pulled up - I would stay here again. read more

We had a very nice stay at these Embassy suites in DC. The location is excellent. It is also walking distance to Dupont Circle and also to several restaurants (Egyptian, Cuban, etc) The free breakfast was very good and we were able to bring trays to our bedroom every day. This was a great option, because the dining room was extremely full. The hotel was also able to store our suitcases since our flight was at the end of the day. The hotel also has snacks and free alcoholic drinks every evening between 5.30 and seven. read more

Please do not stay here, but if you can't listen then at least know these tips ahead of time: The Duckhorn wine is $32 for a 3 ounce pour. The music is so loud throughout the hotel, it's very hard to sleep even at 10pm. The room service is terrible. The maids looked through my bag, took the tip I left, and did the bare minimum. The laundry only takes quarters and the machines are very very old. ($2 for washer & $2 for dryer). They offer a credit of $25 per day to spend in the hotel, but the internet is slow even with the promotional code and everything in the market shop is $5. We had another great stay at this location with our kids. The indoor pool and hot tub is great, especially in January. There are tons of amenities at this location, including a bar, a restaurant, computers, and a store. It is also very conveniently located. Being Hilton Honors members we were also given extra points for the stay which was nice. They are currently offering a lot of great deals as well for future stays. Would recommend and return. The breakfast is also well worth the stay. The only negative thing I have to say about this trip was that housekeeping excessively knocked on our door on the day of checkout. At least 4 times someone came and knocked on our hotel room door prior to 10 am. 1 staff member even stopped us coming back from breakfast to ask if we were going to leave. Once or twice I would understand, but 4+ times is a bit much. read more

I quite liked my stay at this place. It had quite an interesting vibe and feel to it that not many other hotels I've been to had. It's hard to describe, but the way the hotel is set up, it feels like the rooms are almost pods in a rainforest-like setting. Its cool but a bit, claustrophobic? The room itself was kept clean and tidy. I stayed in a room that had a spacious dining area and living area. The TV was nice, bed was comfortable and decently sized, too. The breakfast they served was pretty adequate. They had several kids of potatoes, cereal, pancakes, waffles, juice, yogurt, and so on. It was free with the stay. The stay was quite friendly and the lobby was very nice, too. Again, a slight jungle feel to it? All in all, I enjoyed my stay here. It was a fairly unique experience, but a nice one. So we came here as part of our time share try it blah blah blah thing. When we walked in, I must say, the inside is very nicely done. It's like a small little city inside with a water fall and rock garden etc... We were given our keys and went to our room. Our room was very big. It was 2 rooms in 1 and the door closed to give us privacy if we needed it. It had a small fridge and coffee maker but not a kitchen. The bed was nice. The next day we got up for breakfast. The breakfast had fresh eggs, sausage, bacon and potatoes. It wasn't the powder kind. Then they also had an omelet bar as well which I thought was cool. Then they had traditional cereal yogurt etc... at 5pm you could use the same tickets for breakfast as for free drinks. So my wife got her money's worth lol. We met our bartender, Jaclyn, who was really sweet and nice. She even let us taste other bourbons. That was so cool. We told her how we went to Kentucky to weeks ago and now my wife is a know it all with bourbons. I took her picture without her knowing. Please don't hate me. But if you do come here do tip her well she's awesome. The negatives about the place is the shower pressure was really bad. Also tv sometimes didn't work as it lost signal. It also had very small amount of channels. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 and would come back again. read more

Embassy suites Georgetown was exactly what we needed to make sure our whirlwind trip was perfection. The hotel itself is clean and exactly what you'd expect to find in any Hilton. The crowning glory though was the bartender. Cocktail hour was wonderful I can't say enough good things about Jose Rivera. Despite being busy, he remains calm, attentive, humorous, and makes sublime drinks from scratch. Kudos to who ever hired him. I suggest you do what ever you need to to keep him on board. We had an awesome stay at the Embassy Suites - Washington. We arrived late Monday night and when we arrived the person at the front desk was really nice. He greeted us as if it were the morning. We learned that he was from Florida which made the connection between us even better. We were able to check in without any problems. They offered us parking for $48 a day unlimited access so we added that to our room. He gave us the layout of the place and also told us about the FREE breakfast + complimentary drinks that they offer. The front desk area was so nice and well organized + put together. Our room was spacious and it smelled really good when we walked in. There was what was like a living room, microwave, refrigerator etc. the room was very spacious and the bed was really big + more than enough for my family and I. The bathroom was clean + very bright. The breakfast was good. They have an omelet station and pretty much everything that you can ask for in the breakfast area. We had access to the pool which was clean + nice. Overall great hotel and I would choose it again. read more

Stayed here for two nights and was very satisfied with my entire stay. The lobby is an atrium that makes for a beautiful presentation from any floor of the hotel. The living rooms of all the suites overlook the atrium. The ground level of the atrium is where the complimentary breakfast buffet is served. The hotel room, which is actually a 2-room suite, is spacious and comfortable. Our room (336) was quiet and our bedroom overlooked a quiet street at the back of the building. We stayed here for two nights and there was no hot water. They said that their boiler was broken and they apologized and refunded the fee that they charge anyway for the hotel that they then give you in candy bars. So for two nights at about $250 a night they gave us $100 back for not having hot water. A few other side notes, their breakfast is a glorified microwaved eggs and bacon as thinly sliced as you can possibly make it. The only difference between this place and the roadside motels is they have an omelette bar with a long line. There pillows are worse than my parents' house. Lumpy and solid round cylinders. And the TV has no streaming so bring your HDMI cable. They cannot stream from your phone and they are not smart TVs. So they have general cable with commercials. It's back to the dark ages! Their business center was not operational and while waiting to check in last night as I was in the area and thought it easier and safer to stay there than travel on my own, was subject to severe bullying, harassment and defamation by three hotel staff. "John" approached me as though he was speaking to a stray cat simply saying "Come on, get out." I had no idea why. He proceeded to call the police whispering in a conspiratorial tone as though a secret matter of grave importance was being conveyed which suggested he was lying and asking them to come. I waited on the road outside the hotel for about 20 minute to see what lies he had told the police but decided my time was better spent on other things and left. His intention is unclear but seems to be to ensure I am not accommodated in the West End area of DC and that I am subject to the highest degree of distress. read more

I checked into the Embassy Suites on 22nd St NW in Washington, DC at 1 am. Coming from the West Coast I knew I would have trouble waking up for my 9 am meeting so I requested a 8 am wake up call. That wake up call never came. I was seriously late for my meeting In 40 years of business travel and 2 Million miles flown, this is only the fourth time this has happened. Wow, this place is truly awful. Dingy, dark, outdated and depressing. The people working at the front desk seem pretty miserable. Not once were we greeted or asked how our stay was. We asked for a wake up call last night for an early flight this morning, and NOBODY CALLED. Inexcusable. Our bedding was stained and gross, and the toiletries are a joke. I truly enjoyed my stay at this Embassy Suites. Even tho I was there for only one night, it was enough for me to be sure and book at this same hotel, on my next visit. Check in was easy and fast. Seemed like there was two hotels in one, if it makes sense, but not complicated to check into the right one. Loved the rooms. Up to date and spacious. The views were not the best, but who needs a view when you have a whole city to explore. Breakfast was tasty, but the hours were not. 630 to 930, seemed a little harsh, especially in a city that has a lot of tourists/families, especially in the middle of summer. Did notice a few families were turned away after doors were closed. Over all. Loved the location. Somewhat close to the metro station. read more

Recently stayed at this hotel and it was just very disappointing. The room was obviously updated and the bed was comfortable, and that is the best I can offer on the positive side. While the interior of the room was improved, the windows must not have been because the street noise was very loud. The room key is required for entry to the hotel, and on top of that you have to make it past a security guard in the evening to get to the elevator. Additionally, a police car was parked at the hotel each day. Is this hotel not safe??? In reading through previous reviews I wonder if parties are not controlled by hotel staff. The WiFi is spotty, at best, even in the lobby. Conducting online business was not possible at this hotel, which is very disappointing when premium WiFi is theoretically available. Thankfully, I was able to use the WiFi at the Marriott across the street. EVERY time the HVAC system would turn on/off it sounded like someone was slamming a door loud enough that it woke me up. When I asked to be moved to another room I was told they were sold out. When I pressed this, I was told I would have to pay a higher rate because the only rooms available were larger suites or had more amenities. As a Diamond member, I am very disappointed with this hotel, and it does not representative of the overall Hilton brand. I observed potential customers for the Hilton club, or whatever it is called, being given excellent personalized attention. Are the top three floors really that much better than the lower floors? Does the WiFi work better? Does the HVAC system turn on/off quietly? There are many other hotel options in Washington DC; I will not return to this location and would not recommend it. read more
