Unfortunately, my experience was a completely different story. Starting on a positive note, the shop itself is very clean and welcoming. The staff greets you when you walk in, and the atmosphere feels nice. I arrived around 10:45 AM, let the woman at the front know I wanted a pedicure and a fill in, picked my color, and was seated in a pedicure chair within about five minutes. A young man started my pedicure and handled all the filing and prep work well. Here is where things went downhill. Once he finished his portion, I waited another 45 minutes or more for a nail tech to come paint my toenails. During the wait, they offered me wine without asking for ID, which was a nice gesture, but it did not make up for the excessive wait time. Someone did come over at one point to say it would be "a couple more minutes," and then nearly 20 minutes passed before anyone showed up to finish my pedicure. I then moved to the nail tech chair for my fill in. I asked to use the restroom since I had been sitting for close to an hour at that point. When I came back, my nail tech had moved on to another client. I had to wait again while she finished with that customer before she could file my nails. After filing, she sent me to wash my hands, and when I returned, she was back working on someone else. This back and forth continued throughout my entire service. At some point, who I believe was the owner came over to help apply acrylic on one hand, making a joke about me getting extra attention because of how long I had waited. I appreciated the acknowledgment, but it did not fix the experience. The paint was applied unevenly, the texture is not smooth, the lines are not straight, and the overall result looks noticeably off. I didn't leave the shop until 1:20pm. I left genuinely disappointed. If you already have a relationship with the staff there, or if you happen to go in when it is slow, you might have a great visit. My mom made a mani-pedi appointment for myself, my grandmother, and her for 6. We arrived a few minutes before 6 and waited until 6:45 to start to leave - we were tired of waiting. As we began to leave THEN we were paid attention to and seated. I was done by 7:30, at which point they still hadn't even started my mom. She wasn't done until 8:15. After 2+ hours at the nail salon, each of us left far less than pleased with the quality of our nails for people who aren't particularly picky. They were sloppy. Despite being customers for some time, we will probably not be back.

As he is doing my daughter's nails he starts trying to change the price and claims he never said he would do a design .Meanwhile again I showed him the design PRIOR TO HIM DOING HER NAILS 2x!!! He claims for just French tips with no plastic TIP IS AN EXTRA $20 because she got gel when their price board says $& and $20 for a hand design. Her nails began at $32 at first . THEN he says they began at $40. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! HOT NAILS IN WEST MIFFLIN WOULD NEVER DO THIS. I'll be sure to stick to the people who actually stick by their price and give great quality.

It won't do anything on its own and it more or less reminds me of a sad broom. Today was that morning. My girl Tina sang praises about her salon, and hairdresser, Erica. So I called Studio West. Erica was off, but Suzie worked me in with Caitlin right after work. Woo! Her shampoo was really good. Very relaxing. Felt amazing after a crazy long day at work. And there's just something about someone else washing your hair, amirite? The shampoo, like Tina said, smelled so good. I'm still sniffing my hair an hour later. Haha. She made small talk about her dog, her son and her husband. I was really glad she didn't ask me a million questions, because I deal with that all day long. She made really quick work of my cut, I was only in the chair for about twenty minutes, style and everything! She gave me such a relaxing blowout. I almost fell asleep. My hair was perfect. It feels so nice, and I doesn't look like a sad broom anymore. I'm sure I'll be back for mor services, they do everything here!

I made an appointment a week ago for today and despite being able to produce the date and time stamp on the call they were adamant that I did not have an appointment and they could not squeeze me in. I was very impressed with the quality of customer service on my first visit and was warned by a friend that I had just gotten lucky, honoring appointment times was a struggle for them and she often had to wait 45 minutes even with an appointment. Her experience is more the norm o suppose. I'm not knocking down any further because the quality is still undeniable. I would not recommend this place for a time sensitive appointment but would still potentially return for a "just because" pedi or mani.

Every single nail tech is so friendly, and drinks are available upon request. I have never had any trouble getting an appointment, and it is very easy to book appointments online. They are very reasonably priced for the quality of work they do. The nail techs are all so attentive to small detail. Lynn did the nails pictured, and the almond shape I asked for was perfect. We ended up switching things up a bit from my inspiration picture, and she made all the right calls. I love May and will continue to go back. They are truly phenomenal!
