Sherri is so kind and really takes care to do a great job. The entire staff is very friendly and they are willing to accommodate last minute appointments or changes if able. I truly appreciate this laid back attitude as it's tough for me to make time for myself with my crazy schedule. How would a first tike customer even know this?! After explaining the situation the manager tried to charge me full price for a service I literally could not get to, then half price, then chastised me for being rude when this was unacceptable to me. The location that does not accept appointments is supposedly called 'nail academy' but the storefront also says LaLa Nail Salon. Literally NOBODY would be able to figure this out. This was my first personal day at a job where I am often working 20-30 days straight and it was wasted entirely on this mess.

Weeks would go by with no communication despite my trying. Eventually, several months and about ten emails later (most going with no response), I sent one last email saying either book my appointment or refund my money. I did get a response then with a time and date, and I scheduled it! I had been looking forward to this facial for too long with my mother! Day came, and the Center was easy to find. The facilities were beautiful and the staff and even other clients were extremely friendly. The facial itself was amazing (you should see the GUNK that gets out of your skin), and the owner was super friendly and apologetic for the scheduling mishap. Rude awakening for me a few weeks ago when I tried this at another Squirrel Hill establishment. But - when I called this salon, the super nice woman who answered told me to come right in. Turns out she is the owner with her husband - and they both really work their tails off! She did me and 2 other women inside of an hour, and my pedicure was quite good! She gives a mean massage, too, and really pays attention to detail when she's painting. The shop is below ground off Forbes - well marked - and very clean. I'll definitely be a regular. Hurrah!
