It's a small place with a prix fixe menu for 2 courses, with dessert optional. It seems they've done some "upgrading" of the decor since first opening and had moved away from the a la carte menu. My husband started with the pork dumplings -- simply some of the best I've had .... I ordered some more to take back to our apartment for breakfast the next morning. The wrappers are made in-house and are light and fresh and perfectly steamed, then flash fried (but are not greasy at all). The are stuffed with perfectly cooked ground pork and lots of scallions and other small dice vegetables). Dipping sauce is standard black vinegar. I started with a noodle stir-fry that was just okay -- it could have used more heat and flavor. The noodles were well prepared though. My husband ordered a chicken stir-fry with chestnuts. The chicken was juicy and moist and the sauce was delicious. My husband doesn't generally like Chinese food, but he was smitten with his choice. I ordered a spicy beef stir-fry -- unfortunately, the slices of beef were all overcooked. And, they don't speak much English so I didn't feel comfortable asking them in my broken French to make a new one for me with rarer beef (although now, after being here for nearly 3 weeks, all I need to say was "saignant" and the chef would have understood. The flavors of the sauce were very good. We skipped dessert. Overall, very good Chinese. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Sawadee, though not run by Thais so the proper etiquette can not really be expected (though Thais don't always Wai if they are really occupied), in my honest opinion, falls more in the Thai food category rather than "Thai food." The decor is a bit of an explosion of "artifacts" that in moderation would seem quite authentic (though no Thai restaurant in Thailand would actually decorate in this manner). The extensive menu contains many quintessential Thai dishes though spelt somewhat oddly in the English menu. I ordered some of my childhood favourites including "Fried Green Vegetables" (Pak Boung), "Fried Shrimp with Garlic and Pepper" (Goong Tod Kratiem Prik Thai), "Deep Fried Chicken in Pandanas Leaf" (Gai Tod Bai Toey), and sticky rice.
