We only visited Paris for 3 nights and are so glad we were recommended to come here! The staff was welcoming and helpful in choosing. There were so many good options, we didn't want to choose wrong! The decor is very nice and chairs are super comfortable. Complimentary wasabi peanuts. So good! They have a large drink and wine list. We got a bottle of Shiraz (only thing here I wasn't too crazy about, but not bad). I ordered the Edamame Black Truffle Dumplings as an app and my husband got the Kung Pao Dumplings. We both agreed they were AMAZING. So clean and light, while still filling. 5 large pieces each! The sauces were tasty too. For dinner, I chose the Shrimp Pad Thai and my husband the Sweet & Sour Chicken. The Pad Thai was super tasty and again not too heavy and overly oily. The shrimp was fresh. My husband loved his chicken dish. So different! Lightly fried as one piece instead of chunks with the fresh toppings on top. We also got hot sauce! Overall amazing!!! Where do I start. I love France! And all food in France seem to be ether good or great. This one was not. My children taste for decor was satisfied. But for me, decor is cheap. Food "wanna be something special "- BUT IT IS NOT AT ALL! A lot of fried and tasteless food. But the worst of all was the service! The pretty boy was so obnoxious and rude. He was texting someone in the middle of taking our order. Then he laughed and said "it was business ". After me spending there almost €400 - I asked him if he wouldn't mind to take his recommendation of desert out of my bill- he said "NO, it's different culture here then in USA. You tried it- you pay for it",- he said. Well, I tried it, because you have recommended it! Oh well. In our culture we do give big tips for good service, and recommendations for future business.. . This one was first restaurant I didn't like in France- traveling here 2-3 times every year for business and personal reasons, and have lived here for two years, my family lives in here Paris, and I'm moving here myself soon.... Worst service ever. Avoid at all cost! We ordered a bottle of wine. The waiter brought it to our table and didn't uncork it. Our main dish plates sat on our table for over an our without being cleaned up. 3 hours into the meal no one had asked what we wanted for dessert.... What a beautiful surprise to find such a gorgeous restaurant on our last trip to Paris. Even the smoking room is stunning!! But the food is the real showstopper. We decided on the set menu which started with a Laurent Perrier coup champagne which was the perfect compliment to the lobster dumplings that had nearly a tail's worth of meat inside - spectacular! Then we had the house specialty Bon Cod a miso soaked roasted cod that literally melted a la Nobu. Finished by some of the most delicious steak with a sauce we wanted to drink it was so good. I selected the rice with shrimp and of the sides we all ordered this was a standout. Bon chocolat molten cake finished the meal and they literally had to roll us out. Will be back!!! read more

Loved this food here. Came twice within a weeks for lunch. Got the pre-fix menu both times. I have lots of allergies to Asian food. However, they have options that do not include sesame, etc, so I was able to find a nice balance. I started with the chicken curry spring rolls, then I had their version of sweet and sour chicken as my main meal. This dish is heavily breaded and crispy, it was a super large portion so I was unable to finish it all. But it was very delicious. For dessert, I had the molten chocolate cake. Everything is cooked fresh and perfectly plated and served. The service here is fantastic. Waiters speak both French and English. The meals are not cheap. However, they are so amazing and the ambiance of the place is very unique. It's Asian, meets Africa and a little mafia mixed in there. They have lamps with fake Machine Guns as the posts. Very expensive, and I think most diners come here for that. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the crowd is trendy. Service is very nice, which isn't always the case in such restaurants. But the food is just meh for the price - the €20 platter of 4 eggrolls is definitely not a steal, the €31 spicy pork is just average and comes with plain noodles, and the €14.5 pavlova is disappointing. I saw many people ordering just cocktails (they mostly do classics, e.g. mojitos) - it might be a cool little place for an upscale drink :) read more

It is a nice Asian fusion food spot, all plates are very fresh and perfectly seasoned so it just reminded you enough of Asia, but without being an Asian dish. I would say my experience at Bon was underwhelming. Albeit, I am used to very inexpensive Asian food in the United States that focuses on quality of food rather than decor. Bon focuses on both and you are definitely paying for the decor. It is gorgeous inside. It is also well air-conditioned. The service staff was intensely kind and helpful. The food was decent but over-priced. Sadly, in France, you are not going to find much better for any less in the 16th. You'll have to venture into the 13th or out to Republique for better deals. I can recommend the spicy, crunchy calamari with a white wine from the Loire. The crispness of the wine will give a nice contrast to the calamari that gives it an extra dimension of pepperiness. Also, nothing here is going to be spicy like you know it elsewhere. If I could give this restaurant a 3.5 star rating, I would. read more

This was a return visit for me - I had had the fish steamed in a banana leaf a year earlier, and remembered it as being delicious. My daughter lives near there so we went for lunch. The lunch special was a starter, an entrée, glass of wine and coffee for 27€. That is not bad at all in Paris! The décor is by Philip Stark and super cute, the servers were really friendly and that's rare in Paris. The food was good and I will go back on my next visit. read more

Bon is a good choice both both a romantic evening or a dinner out with friends. The ambiance is sexy, very new, and fresh (think floor lamps where the base is a golden rifle) and the food was very very good. I'm usually not inspired to write reviews but a visit to the Le Bon made me want to write. I'm staying at nearby Hotel Square and the concierge has called ahead to book a reservation. He rang three times, there was no response. The concierge could see there was space available so he told me just to go. I arrived at Le Bon and after 10 minutes the hostess seated me in the lounge without saying anything. I asked her twice how long the wait was. Both times she said just a minute longer. I waited for exactly 45 minutes while she rushed back and forth. All the while I could see that the restaurant was half empty. Finally after 45 minute she said my table was ready. The room I was seated in was empty save for another party that had arrived after me. I told her I was hungry as it was 945pm and she said the waiter would be right there to take my order. Another ten minutes went by. So I made eye contact with another employee and said I would like to order. He said, right away. And another 15 minutes went by and no one came to my table. No water. No bread. All together I wasted 70 minutes of my time. They could have told me how the long wait was, giving me the option to walk out. Terrible and rude service. read more
