Oh my goodness...that quiche lorraine. It was beautiful. The eggs were soft still and the flavors beautiful. Okay I admit, I didn't order that, but the forkful I got will forever remain in my memory. I ordered the open faced tuna/hummus sandwich. It was beautifully done and the ingredients were so fresh. I also got a fresh orange juice with the bits. They seated us downstairs in a wine cafe like area - it was really awesome and much quieter than upstairs. I love the long wooden tables and it gives it a cozy feel. Glorious desserts and cakes...yummy speculoos butter...and...SPECULOOS CHOCOLATE BAR! It's very spicy (not hot, just..tastes like nutmeg and christmas) so probably not very everyone's taste buds. Finally...that brownie. Yes. Just...just do it.

We visited this restaurant three times while in Paris! We absolutely loved this restaurant and it was close to our hotel. My husband loved the ham and cheese croissant and the Belgium waffle with bananas and chocolate was amazing. It had a nice crisp texture to it. I ordered the almond croissant which was so good. The almond paste inside was the perfect amount. It was not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. The service was amazing. We only speak English and everyone who interacted with us spoke English as well. They have English menus so we were able to order just fine. The first time we ate there, my husband got dizzy in the restaurant and they helped him by getting him water and checking on him. The staff was so kind. They treated us like family. They even made him a special tea to help. We were so amazed by their kindness that we went there two more times. One to dine in and another to order to go. Thank you!

There are many time in Paris that you crave a healthy breakfast and Le Pain was just that. We had the avocado, cucumber, Chives, and chicken on toast . Two pieces to fill you up. The orange was fresh but no refilled.

Having tried le pain quotidien in the states, I wasnt really too thrilled when we didnt find space in the coffeeshops nearby and had to come here for brunch, but honestly I was pretty surprised. A lot of brunch options and everything was delicious. Would absolutely be back!

My day starts from here with croissant, pain basket, orange juice and café au lait in the morning.

Delicious scrambled eggs with gluten-free toast, croissant, baguette and hot tea. Yum!

Cute cafe with delicious gluten-free bread!! We came twice for breakfast and loved it. We ordered scrambled eggs and hot tea. The eggs were fluffy and you get a baguette with them, but we also ordered a croissant and gluten-free toast with jam. The gluten-free bread is so fluffy and delicious. You couldn't tell it was gluten-free. This is something Paris does well! The cafe's atmosphere is similar to a coffee shop where you can bring your work/homework, and it's also large enough to accommodate larger parties. Great place!

There was a line at the door, but it moved fairly quickly. Once inside, you're in a beautiful Beaux-Arts salon. Service generally is very good. The Chocolat Chaud is superb. There are other savories and sweets on the menu here. This time we tried a Mont-Blanc (3/5). I know this is Angelina's signature pastry, but to me it couldn't compete with the Chocolat Chaud.

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

My friend and I were seated after milling around for a few minutes; we got the last available table which was right in front of the kitchen and we could see the food being prepared, which was pretty neat. Another group that came in just after us was turned away. The lunch menu had a pretty wide variety of items, all under €20, including omelets, burgers, steak, and salads. My friend is vegan but has had to be a bit flexible with it while living in Paris. She wanted to order the "salade végétarienne," but was told by the waitress that it was not served on Saturdays. There didn't appear to be anything else vegan- or vegetarian-friendly on the menu. However, the chef offered to whip up a salad with just vegetables; since we were conveniently seated right in front of him, he was able to call out to my friend before putting things on the salad, to make sure she was okay with it. My friend ended up getting a salad with a generous amount of tomatoes and green beans (and a dairy-looking dressing, but she hadn't really emphasized the non-dairy part of her diet so it wasn't really the chef's fault), which she was able to enjoy. They also gave her free fries, since she didn't have meat, which was a thoughtful touch. I ordered the tartare italien, which also came with fries. It was really tasty and well seasoned, and the portion size was honestly quite big; I wasn't able to finish it. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant has a warm, cozy ambiance, with tables close together, as is typical for Paris. Definitely a solid place to get a filling, affordable meal in Paris. I was able to pay with my American Mastercard without any issues.

Kinda unfair. Food: The missus had the calamari special on rice. It wasn't great. Squid is tender in minutes or you need to stew it an hour. This dish seemed the latter. I had steak tartare and it was on the sweet side but the best we had this trip.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------------ + Located in the heart of the Champs-Élysées on Rue Lincoln, so, YES, it is busy like rush hour outside ... and inside. + There are 2 sides to this massive flagship location - you can either make a purchase of macarons at their store OR dine/sit down in their tea house. Both have lines to wait on, but making a purchase only takes about 10 minutes on a weekend, while dining in looks like an unimaginable wait! + The store to make a macaron purchase at has 3 tables to sit around to enjoy your purchase of delicious macarons. You MUST catch someone about to leave (like we did) in order to snag a table. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. CONCLUSION ----------------------- = Yes, I'm from the tri-state area and they've had a Laduree in NYC since 2011, but there's alwayyyyys something special about going to one of the originals and this spot is no different.
