He welcomed us warmly and sat us outside in the covered patio. We did one menu and added some extra dishes to share between the two of us. Every item was so well prepared, visually stunning and incredibly tasty. The wine options were fantastic as nd dessert was delectable. Seriously considered going back, but there were so many good restaurants in Dijon to try. Wow!

It was relatively obvious that they serve English-speaking consumers because they had menus in English. My friend and I had a good time here tasting wine and catching up. Majority of the dishes were pretty good but not extremely spectacular, ranging from the beef bourguignon to the soy-glazed chicken to the eggs with mashed potatoes, they all had varying degrees of seasoning and the salt wasn't too overpowering. Some of the dishes leaned towards more on the plain side in terms of flavor. The arancini tomatoes didn't have too much fresh flavor in my opinion, and that was my least favorite dish in comparison. Overall, one would have a good time if visiting Dijon, and I would recommend this establishment. It's worth noting that they had good service, which sometimes can be a hit or miss in France in general due to them not having a tipping culture.

Our server was kind enough to allow us to practice our French when we placed our order. She patiently listened and offered corrections, which we most welcomed. It's just a short walk from the noisier, pricier, and more touristy cafes on the Place de la Liberation, right at the end of a slightly unlikely looking street (as the name suggests). The server and cook were friendly and helpful to eaters with imperfect French. The server explained that they'd been serving their menu for 23 years. Everyone in the place when we ate there was having some version of the house specialty: moules frites --- mussels with French fries --- and it would seem pointless to go there for anything else. The menu includes about a dozen variants on the same theme: a large basin of fresh mussels with broth at the bottom. We had two versions and both were superb. The fries are piping hot and "a volontir": as much as you want, so you can readily soak up broth and fill any empty spaces with them. Top it off with some yeasty Belgian beer and you're very good to go. Yelp's price estimate of under 10 euros is simply incorrect, by the way. Our meals ran about 16 euros each, including beer; add a dessert and you'll push 20 euros. But that's still an excellent deal in the Dijon context.
