It's not grungy and claustrophobic like the Merivale Road location. In my opinion, the stuff is rather junky and the clothing is quite frumpy, in general. However, like all thrift stores I'm sure you can find some gems with some patience and luck. They have some new items too. I saw lots of new Christmas ornaments. However, they were ornaments like a little boy holding a sign that said "my favourite middle child" or equally specific types of ornaments that would not apply to most people's lives. They had like 10 of the aforementioned ornament. They have free coffee at the front of the store. Don't be deterred by the religious values of the store if you are non-religious. No one preached to me or tried to convert me. This store is in the same strip mall as Dollarama, Goodlife Fitness and Box Low Food Prices. Lots of free parking.

It's a true non-for-profit, unlike the Walmart owned Value Village, and is mostly volunteer run. The store is really clean and doesn't have a used store smell. Being such a large store, it's no surprise they have a large variety. I find their price point is middle of the pack, cheaper than Value Village but a bit more expensive than Salvation Army, but they tend to have better quality things which is worth the price point. It's my go-to thrift store in Orleans.

The clothing at Thrive appears to be geared towards youth and so skews on the younger side, in my opinion. The racks are filled with brands like Old Navy, Garage, and Ardene. Prices are cheaper than places like Value Village. They had some new items like Funko Pops and Squishmallows, while I was there, but I guess these depend on donations, perhaps these were from a business (?) They also had some used video games and controllers. They also have (new) Big Brothers and Big Sisters merchandise. Staff are friendly. I believe that many of them are volunteers. Whoever does the window displays in this store must have been inspired by New York's fifth avenue…read more The diplays change often according to the season and the holiday, whether Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Remembrance Day, Hallwe'en etc. Inside is an excellent selection of donated items for sale, run by cheerful and dedicated staff. Everything from clothing to furniture to books to dishes. Prices, as you might expect, are excellent and a real plus to anyone living on a reduced income, but also just a great store to browse in anyway to find something that can find a second life somewhere else.

But they always offer amazing price and this is why I keep on coming back. Every profit is given back to the community. The place has started to get very noticed. So now on Thursday it is pack (full) The place is very small so it definitely gets crowded. That is the only downside that I can find about this store. This is A real thrift store, not like value village... You won't be finding a pair of leggings for 10 bucks... pants, jeans are three dollars. This of course brings a lot of people. Baskets are limited, and carts are also limited. The staff are all volunteers, always happy to help. I love to get my books here! 50cent I believe the most expensive one or 2$. This is the place that you go think that you shop until you drop but spend 6.75$ lol .

Nothing is in order and things are strewn across the racks. If you're ok rooting through things and spending a lot of time rummaging through the mess, then be my guest. The store has a decent variety of wares, with the clothing section having fixed prices based on their category. They have a surprisingly expansive jewelry section compared to other thrift stores of their size. The book section also has a broad range of genres to choose from; I spotted a world atlas published during the Cold War that I had to get. A great find for $2! The staff are volunteers of the May Court Club who are fantastic to talk to. They commended me for reading a physical book given my youthful demeanor (I mean...) and handled everything we got with care. They keep their stock well-organized. If you decide to visit the store, be mindful of their operating hours and the fact that only cash is accepted. In addition, as of writing this review (11 September, 2022), masks are required to enter, though they provide masks at the entrance for no more than a buck.
