She has Pomeranians of her own so we felt very safe putting Rocket in her hands for his first grooming experience after we adopted him in December 2023. I have been taking my dog regularly to Posey for well over two years. It was indeed purchased by a new owner. We have tipped well, always been prompt with drop off and pick up. Today we were fired because I spoke to Posey about a recent ear infection my dogs had. The new owners policy is they don't pluck/clean the dogs ears for fear if the dogs ear becomes infected, the 'vets' will blame it on them. I went along with that fine until a huge clump of hair, black debris and wax was pulled from her ear that had been bothering her terribly. I did NOT blame this on the shop or the groomer. But I did request her ears be cleaned from now on at the suggestion of the vet for good reason. She is double coated, very hairy and apparently HER ears require more. I scheduled an appointment and later received a message that because she has allergies (many dogs have seasonal allergies to grass etc.) for which she is treated regularly for. I also agree that sometimes ear infections just happen-and we will happily treat them. This owner seems to be very paranoid or something about being criticized by someone. My dog has seen Posey each time and is comfortable with her. We have no complaints about her. But now, we've been told to find another groomer after being loyal customers. It breaks my heart for my dog, because she does not like change. She always knew who would care for her. I feel like this demonstrates a total disregard for my pet and is very upsetting and offensive to us as we did nothing offensive. The owner would not return my calls. This doesn't show care or concern for the individual pet in my opinion and is very harsh considering all we have been as customers. Worst I've ever been treated, cried my eyes out because of this unfair, uncompassionate action. We were customers for years before that when Tracy owned it and we were very happy with them so continued. Feel betrayed. On top of all this my husband has been told his cancer could take him in less than a year. Our stress levels are off the charts, our old lives completely disintegrating with unknown, precarious decisions and changes coming our way. This is just one more unnecessary decision that affects us all. Oh yes-be kind. In response to Wanda's statements which are misrepresentations of a couple of isolated communications: Wanda you have distorted or misunderstood what was discussed with yourself and others on a couple of isolated interactions among a long and largely positive relationship. Had you returned my call they could have easily been corrected with a 'transparent' first person discussion of what was said, the context in which the accurate requests were made and to what end. I apologize on our part for incorrectly hearing the pronunciation of Cozy's name and the exchange regarding the text message of which I was not aware. But again, a personal dialogue could have also explained and mended what was behind the frustration my partner expressed about his preferred and repeated requests to receive a phone call rather than texts, which he does not use. Another example of miscommunication; rather than misquoting the requests, and suggesting they represent us as unreasonable, entitled, rude customers which we are not. "Breaking up" over a text message after years of positive, appreciative interactions is not an especially mature business practice. Shaming an ill 75 year old man who does not use 'technology' is not exactly an appropriate business model either. read more

I am so upset today. I went to pick up my dog from the groomers and he was butchered his hair when I examined him I noticed on his left side of his neck. It was cut all the way down to the skin. also, around his neck, they cut his hair to the skin on his belly. They cut him with the clippers causing him to bleed and now it's infected. They did such a horrible job when I went back to the groomers, I spoke to the owner who was combative. She was trying to say he was losing his hair and that's why there was a difference in his hairline I believe that because they were overbooked that they had no regard to his well-being to the point of him being tortured read more

I needed a new groomer when ours retired after 14 years. Le Paw was recommended and I'm so glad we tried them out! We're so pleased; they're close to home (car travel is an adventure), and are completed within a very reasonable time-frame. Kids look great! read more

I can't imagine why this business has such low ratings. I've had Tracy doing our dogs for 12 1/2 + years. I could take my beloved dogs the most expensive place in Colorado, but they couldn't get the care and expertise that Tracy has. She was great with my male Schnauzer who was spastic at first, but he came to love her. She's great with difficult dogs. She really cares. I think they see that. Groomers have a difficult job trying to understand your pets personality, but once Tracy understands, she uses techniques that help them to be more relaxed. Cats... can't imagine grooming a cat! Have no idea. But she's been doing them for so many years. You won't find a nicer and more professional groomer. She's a gem among those who want to just do your pet and move to the next one. Can't imagine taking my dogs to anyone else! read more

I wanted to like this small business, I needed my cat Curly groomed and they were willing to fit us in same day which I was appreciative of. I dropped him off at the appointment and told them twice to give him a lion cut. When I returned to pick him up I see they gave him a lioness cut instead. His mane was chopped off! He looks ridiculous! All they really had to do was follow the lines of his last cut grown out, I don't get it! How do you do that? I told the manager/owner/only person there when I picked him up that it wasn't correct. At first she blamed me because I didn't request them to not cut his mane, to which I responded that I specifically requested a lion cut not a lioness cut and the mane was implied. Then she agreed that it was their fault but still charged me the full price with no offer in any way shape or form to make it up to me. No offer for extra services or discount even if I return. So I paid the full price and of course their POS system forced me to leave a minimum 15% tip despite the cut being incorrect. She assured me if I ever came back they'll make sure to do it correctly! Ha! She even knew I wouldn't be back and didn't seem to care. Listen lady, if you care to read this review, I can see that your business is going to fail. Your attitude is that you don't value a customers business. Your company made the mistake, I'm not going to scream and yell and demand a free service, instead I'm evaluating how you recover from your mistake and how you make it up to me. In the end it's just hair and it'll grow back but when you try to screw us people like me just vote with our wallets and give you a bad review. I see I'm not alone nor will I be the last. In the end you're only hurting yourself. I'm sure your ego won't take responsibility and you'll blame the failure on your business location or the economy but any one who bothers to read this review will know it was actually mismanagement. read more

I started going here for convenience because it's so close to my house. My dog is a rescue and it was his first professional grooming. I had been bathing him at home and he wasn't so crazy about it. I called them and they were very nice and got me in the next day. They did a wonderful job, Bosley looked great and he was so happy when I picked him up. I could tell he was very pleased with his new look. I've been taking him here for almost a year now. When we pull up he is excited to go in and get his hair and nails done. The best part of all this is he has never taken more than an hour at his appointment. I know other people that wait hours for their dog. I highly recommend this place. I just called today and they are getting him in tomorrow for his next appointment. read more

I usually don't write reviews but today I am. I have been taking my Lhasa apso for almost 2 years now, I have even referred people to their business. I have never had a problem until the last 2 times the groomers have failed to listen to my request on how I'd like my pup cut. They have an hour window to complete dogs and it's starting to show. My dog looks choppy, uneven and just a mess!!! Even if they didn't understand what I was asking for they could've at-least made sure he looked decent. I will not be returning after I came back to the store and they told me I needed to rebook because correcting MY DOG that they butchered would throw their appointments off. He was complete before the hour window maybe they should use that time to make sure the finish product is something they'd like their pet to be seen with! No apology, offer for services, or discount. I took my Maine Coon cat to this business last month, and she still hasn't recovered. The cut looks awful. Her socks are uneven, they cut her whiskers on one side, and they cut her ear and didn't tell me. I had to find out when I got home, as they were very eager to get me out the door. She was already in the kennel when I arrived. They didn't clean her ears, and her nails are uneven. Since she came home she has been congested, and she is sneezing constantly. She hasn't been ill since I got her 10 years ago. The shop is dirty, the setup is ridiculous. If you have a cat, find a different business, because this one is a joke. read more

It was fate how I rediscovered this place. I had scheduled an appointment for my dogs with my usual groomer (also on Academy) just before work. So I only had a short amount of time to get my dogs to the groomer and then head straight to the office. I arrive at my groomer's salon and the door was locked tight. Yikes! I call my groomer and apparently I was booked an appointment on a day they are normally closed. Ugh, seriously? No problem, I say everyone makes mistakes. I hang up. Crap, crap, crap! Now what do I do? Do I head back home and drop off the dogs and be late? Um no, I think not. I eye my dogs warily wondering if they would be quiet all day if I hide them in my back office. Frequent trips outside for my elderly dog would not work. I sigh, defeated. I see a Starbucks. It beckons to me reassuringly. I pull in and what do I see? A pet grooming salon! It was like the light at the end of a tunnel. "Carolanne, go into the light. There is peace and serenity in the light." They took my two dogs in without an appointment and were still able to get them groomed in a reasonable amount of time. The salon itself was very clean and the groomer very pleasant and helpful. I confess I took my dogs here a few years ago and for some strange reason began using a different groomer. I will not stray again. They still had my information on file and knew exactly what I wanted. My dogs looked great and my elderly dog was not sore or jumpy afterwards. Oh, and did I mention their prices are very reasonable? Today I was extremely disappointed. I have a Multi-Poo who is going on 3 yrs old. He's always had the same groomer and vet. I never need a leash because he never leaves my side no matter how many distractions. Recently the groomer changed owners from Hairy D-Tails to Le Paw Spa. I kept him with the location since he was comfortable going and knew where we were when pulling up to the building and would always run to the door. Today was to be his 2nd visit and while walking up he ran back to the car. That was my 1st red flag. I then picked him up to go inside and he became a different dog. He began shaking and trying to leave. When I tried to hand him over to the groomer he couldn't get away fast enough. I have NEVER seen him act this way before. He was shaking and looking into my eyes as if begging me not to leave him there. The groomers response was to ask me if something had happened at home recently that may have traumatized him. And at no point did she attempt to talk to him or pet him to show any comforting attempt to ease his nerves. I left him there and walked outside. I waited a couple minutes and walked to the glass door and saw he was sitting by himself at the gate and the groomer had still not approached him. Mind you, he was scheduled and she was not focusing on any other dog. Her only response was it must have been something to do with me. Which I'm unsure how that could be since he didn't want me to leave him or put him down. It was very clear something happened during his previous appointment and they had no desire to make him comfortable. They didn't say a word to him or pet him. Needless to say I walked in and opened the gate and he ran to the front door. When I opened the front door he ran to my car and was immediately calm again. If they had tried to calm him I would have also been put at ease. It was his extreme stress and their lack of attention to him that has guaranteed we will never go back. We are back home and he is doing just fine. I've never seen him so scared before. To make matters worse when I posted my concern on their FB page they deleted my post and blocked me. Instead of reaching out to apologize for the experience. The previous owner trusted her and therefore so did I. To see how they handle business is disheartening. read more

Did not like the groom and cut given to our dog. They shaved him too close on his rear end and we had to put cream on him for days to help him heal. He was also really jumpy whenever I brushed him after that. And his tail looked horrible. read more

Absolutely disgusted with the way they 'lion' cut our Ragdoll cat. I'm guessing they have never seen a picture of what a lion looks like by the way my cats cut turned out. They pretty much shaved my cat completely; all that is left is a little bit of fur on his tail. When I called the owner to complain she could care less at how dis-satified I was. She told me that what she did is a true lion cut and that she is the number one cat groomer in Co Springs. I explained to her that she is probably only number one because not many people groom cats out here. I also explained to her that she needs to tell people what her version of a lion cut is before she just shaves their cat naked. DO NOT trust her for a lion cut she will ruin your cat. My poor cat is so embarrassed and doesn't even want to come around us now (he has had Lion cuts before we just moved here from Utah). HORRIBLE! read more

I have taken my two toy poodles there for over a year. They do a great job and are kind and courteous.

For the safety of your pet DO NOT take them here!! Once arriving to pick up our dog they informed us that they cut his ear and it would not stop bleeding. Not only did they not even seem sympathetic but we waiting for 15+ minutes while they "tried to stop the bleeding". We then ran to the vet who informed us that not only are they NOT contracted with the groomers but they also have several animals that have to go to them after using this groomer! His ear had to be glued shut and we are hoping it can actually heal! The vet then showed us where he had razor burn because they had used hot clippers and cut too close to the skin, just like several others have complained about for this groomer. The groomer's place was dirty and they were unapologetic. And to top it off his haircut looks HORRIBLE! We will now not only have to worry about getting it fixed but healing his ear. I am also sure the owner will write a defensive and rude comment back under this post, but take it from a concerned pet owner, DO NOT bring your dog or cat here!!! We were shocked by the injury and are concerned for the safety of every over animal that is brought there read more
