Posting to inform local pet owners. My dog Huckleberry has now been injured twice at Snazzy Snout grooming services off of Interquest/Creek Bed due to under-tail shaving that caused pain, swelling, and scabbing to the degree that he wasn't able to eat, stand or defecate for 3 days. Due to the severity, veterinary treatment was needed. Huckleberry was prescribed carprofen for pain and Animax (steroid ointment). (Pics are 2 days AFTER the carprofen and animax were prescribed). After the first incident, I asked them to note his sensitivity to prevent it from happening again. They did not, and the same injury happened again. No apology or follow-up concern was given and I was told to find another groomer. To add to this issue, Snazzy Snout illegally went behind my back without authorization and emailed my vet practice and somehow manipulated medical records that are now in Snazzy Snouts possession. This is highly illegal and deceitful. A PACFA complaint has been filed and a formal review of Snazzy Snout will be conducted by PACFA. UPDATE: Huckleberry is 100% back to normal and chasing balls and eating without assistance!!! So Grateful to have my soulpup back!!! Under PACFA (8 CCR 1202-15), grooming facilities may request proof of required vaccinations only. Full veterinary medical records are protected under Colorado Revised Statute §12-315-119 and cannot be released without owner authorization. Due to the unauthorized medical records request and the grooming-related injury, I am filing a formal complaint with the Colorado Department of Agriculture - PACFA Enforcement. Per Ally's reply (Snazzy Snout is not set up to receive messages on this platform) It was 36 weeks since they have been groomed by Snazzy Snout however it has NOT been 36 weeks since my dogs have been groomed. They have been groomed by an alternate groomer after the first incident happened. This is not the first time this has happened to my dog. Huckleberry was not matted as Ally states. Huckleberry has had a lion tail cut this entire year therefore the tail dock is short with no overgrowth of hair let alone matting. There was no matting whatsoever on his tail. Snazzy Snout called the shave a "Hygiene" cut. This has nothing to do with matting. Also, Snazzy Snout not once throughout all of this, has not once asked how my dog is. No follow up or concern about the dog. Ally also fails to inform the public that she illegally obtained Huckleberry's medical records which is illegal per PACFA guidelines. She breeched my privacy and confidentiality. This she does not state. read more

I've never owned a dog that's needed to be regularly groomed before so this is new for me. I brought Indie in for her first grooming yesterday and she seemed like she loved it! As much as I love her shaggy look I know she feels so much better! The staff is super friendly and informative, they went over everything that would be included in the grooming, the accommodations, and the typical style for her breed. If I could give this business no stars I would! My husband and I have been using Snazzy Snout the last couple times we've gotten our pups groomed with little to no issues. But if you have long hair (double coated) breeds I wouldn't recommend bringing them to this place. First off the receptionist (Sammy) went over the "notes" of our 2 long haired dogs (Chow chow mix and Border Collie) asking if we want the same as last time which we said yes and to just trim their rear ends down "a little" never did we say "short" or "shaved" which if your a professional you know to never ever cut any breeds like these 2 that short to begin with. We literally pointed to the only area to be trimmed down. When we got them back they looked horribly groomed my Chow chow looked like a completely different dog. I had 2 already beautiful girl pups and came out with 2 Scooby freaking Doo dogs. Now to find out the lady checking us out was probably the owner from the picture given on yelp she acted as if it was ok to have shaved them and had the nerve to say "next time" we will put that in their notes. There will never be a next time here! She better hope both of their coats grow back normal because they have never been this short. Also they nicked my chow chows stomach because they went too short! I'm furious with the service here and the customer service that was poorly given, we had left them an email and still waiting back. They had no care for the health of our 2 pups, especially because dogs need that protective layer of fur. The whole staff needs training and or fired! We've also seen other reviews like ours that they've done this to! Don't be fooled by their few 5 star reviews. They were never given instructions to shave our dogs and they should have called if miscommunication. Here are some pics of the service we have gotten the last few times which should have been done yesterday (July 22, 2023) like always, and then what we were handed with poorly shaved down dogs, which they went into their face framing/neck too much and completely shaved their body frame. I took my 7 month old labradoodle and was very happy with her first full groom. They are so patient with puppies! It took a full 4 hours and I was told they took their time and just pet her and combed her when she'd get worked up or nervous. Worth the money spent! July 22, 2023. Took our 2 long haired double coated dogs to get groomed yesterday and this place did not follow simple instructions to just "trim". They completely shaved our dogs without permission, also now we don't know if their hair will even grow back normal since they never ever gotten completely shaved before and never should have been! They now have no protective layers left and with this heat they better not get sunburned! The owner (Aly) acted as if this was ok and didn't show any Empathy towards their health nor the situation. She only cared about the "next time", which we won't be coming back. If you have long haired dogs please beware! Go someplace else for your dogs sake. read more

Snazzy Snout Today our dog had an grooming appointment made several weeks ago at Snazzy Snout. We received no confirmation call (reminder call) from Snazzy (as they were off from Wednesday thru Monday for the holiday.) I called to confirm the time the morning of the appointment and waited for a return call which I did not receive. On a snowy Tuesday morning I drove several miles there and confirmed that indeed the dog's appointment was two hours later. If I left him there they would charge me $25 as they would have to put him in a kennel and get him out for his grooming appointment. So because they were derelict in their customer service and were less than accommodating, they have lost a customer. No matter how fine a product you have without customer service you have no value. read more

She knew my breed of dog very well and did a beautiful job on her. They are a little pricey in my opinion but, after our last experience at another groomer, I will pay the extra to know that my dog is being properly cared for and they appreciate my business. If you are in anyway dissatisfied, expect callous indifference. My expectation would have been to return and I didn't even ask for a refund, but was told "What do you want me to tell you, you came in with a dog and left with a dog." Have never left a bad review, but this was exceptionally poor customer service after having not done what was agreed upon and admitting to using the wrong size comb. There is no one else that I'd rather take my sweet Sherman to. He is my second dog, but first puppy and I was so nervous about having him groomed. She assured me that she'd take her time and he'd be well cared for throughout the whole process. She did such a good job with him!! I just love Aly! We've known each other for years and she's the ONLY person I'll leave my hounds with. My 120lb Bloodhound can be quite stubborn and is a huge baby but love Aly and will gladly go with her. My little Bassett was immediately comfortable.
