I've been to Place Bell a handful of times now and I find it's a solid stadium that is essentially…read morea smaller Centre Bell. I've been here for Disney on Ice, Cirque de Soleil as well as the Rockets of Laval and never had any issue. The arena looks nice and is conveniently located if you get here by metro with a barely 3 minute walk. They started opening restos within the Place Bell so you can dine and attend your show without an issue. The concessions are limited in choices and grossly overpriced but that's what they're all about, so eat before you come! My issue lies with limited parking in this area. You have to show up super early to find free street parking. You can pay for parking but it's basically downtown prices. I hope when Place Montmorency opens up we can get more affordable parking. This has been an ongoing issue since this place opened. Place Bell does have its own parking but from what I heard it can be a challenge to leave without being stuck in traffic.... something I actively avoid. Another thing I wish this place would have would be more shows. They should be able to accommodate more musicians/entertainers considering the size of the arena. They simply can't seem to book a good comedian and seat 5000 people, it should be a non-issue.

The venue itself is fine, decent sound for an arena. Visited on Friday for Disturbed. The problem…read morehere is the parking. We arrived about half an hour before the show started but signs for parking said Full, and there wasn't much indication that we could pay to park in the mall parking lot across the street, so we drove around for awhile looking for something, finally parked about 2 blocks from the arena. The show was great. But took an hour to leave the parking lot. Unreal.

Pros : - Supporting…read morethe local team is always a good thing despite the quality of the product being played on the field. - Stadium is in open air so in warmer temperatures it's very enjoyable, last night the weather was perfect! - Entrance was quick and painless, walking up the hill was laborious but got the blood pumping for the game!! Cons : - Hazardous stairs with NO RAMPS. Going down these stairs in winter would be insanely dangerous. A few people slipped and that's simply due to clumsiness or booze. Imagine when ice/snow is all over the place! - The food was bad and ridiculously expensive. I had free hot dogs with my ticket and you get the most generic steamies with buns that BROKE APART when you opened them!!!? Concession prices beat the Bell Center! SERIOUSLY, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? My friend ordered a poutine and a beer and set him back $28. - I thought the seating for the Bell center was uncomfortable! You literally sit in tiny spaces on a long bench with no leg room. God forbid someone tall wants to sit somewhere comfortable! What if someone slightly overweight sits beside you? It was so uncomfortable and it was all I can think of! My butt still hurts after 24 hours! My back was in pain due to lack of back support. Worse than sitting in economy on a Air Transat flight! - Nothing against the stadium but CFL games are SO LONG. Why are there so many commercial breaks? Does this game really need to be 3+ hours long? You play for 1 hour, why am I here for 2 more? You want people to get bored and hungry and pay the 300% mark-ups I bet. Thankfully the walk down the hill when I left early helped leaving this underwhelming experience. I wonder how safe it is during the winter...

*** This review is again only for the gym/fitness room of the cepsum and not the entire place (does…read morenot include the various squash, volleyball, etc. Rooms and the courses) Over time, the gym at the cepsum has definitely gotten better. The price is still very decent coming to about 15$ a month if you're a student at HEC, Poly or UdeM and you buy the 1 year subscription. They added a new multi room where TRX courses are taught and there's a bunch of cross fit equipment. Usually, the room is closed, but at certain times, those who are the gym membership have access to that room and can take advantage of the different equipment. The gym is fairly clean and even thought it says to wipe the machines, people don't seem to do it very often. You have to have a towel to get in. That's super important or they will deny you entry. Usually, it's pretty busy after 4pm on the weekdays. Before that and all day during the weekends, there's not too many people. I think the biggest upside to the CEPSUM gym is the proximity to the schools and the student discount. It's definitely not worth it if you don't live close and you're not a student/employee of one of the aforementioned establishments.

For a university student, everything is paid for except the gym. The fees are quite affordable compare to many gyms and the place is not always busy. I never reserved the machine I want. The complain I have is for the gym, there are too many cardio machines and not enough weight machines to go around. Overall, this place is pretty great for a sport enthusiasm. I would even describe this place as a god send for the sports athletes.
