I bought a mug that at the time was a bit spendy, and have wished many times since that I had purchased more of her things. This shop is tucked away in the Marais but is easily accessible on foot from Rue Rivoli (head north on Temple). If you love cats, you'll likely enjoy her whimsical art but there is plenty for those who have a life that doesn't revolve around a feline. The shop is closed Sunday and Tuesday.

To me, none of Trudon's perfumes smell like Spiritus Sancti (lord knows why I want to smell like a cathedral mass...), and he recommended one by another house that was spot on. On the Rue des Saules near the corner of Rue Norvins there is "GALERIE D'ART" in huge red letters across the front of the exterior, so it is hard to miss. The pieces are all hand-thrown and a bit irregular, with unique designs that vary from one piece to the next. They even have a sale table! The young woman who rang me up was delightful and offered to bubble wrap the two cups I bought for safe journey back to the States. This is definite souvenir-shopping territory for something much lower on the tacky meter.
