Really good drinks! Cool vibe, dj playing music and good service. We ordered the popcorn shrimp and charcuterie board. This spot is good for a late night drink with appetizers. Highly recommend!

Nothing like an inventive spritz at 3 in the afternoon!

Light, airy, Covid contentious! GREAT drinks and cocktails! Quite inventive on the cocktail side of things. Very clean and friendly staff.

Very cute and inviting bar. Dimmed lights and good music. Makes for a good spot for a date! I asked for a wine recommendation and the waiter was useful. I tried the octopus, but it was unfortunately overcooked.

Upscale, classy bar. Enjoyed the slower vibe and older crowd compared to the other more lively bars on the plateau. Drinks were beautiful and well made. They have a club downstairs which was fun and played Miami style/Latin dance music, which was a nice surprise.

Nice place to gather around for a drink the atmosphere is quiet people from the neighbourhood is here on the week like many weekday pubs on the plateau. Not the noisy type of place. The crowd is a bit older for some reason lots of baby boomers, don't except young people like at Buvette Chez Simone. It is lacking something maybe better music and people watching. I can't say for the beer because I don't drink any but it looks like they have a wide selection of local beers. As for the food because I'm here to rate the food: nothing special, not much people ordered any food, they have a pear salad not bad with a nice balsamic dressing, I also had their potato wedges, grilled octopus and the charcuteries platter. If your looking for a quiet night and talk with some friends during the weeknight this is the place.Have dinner somewhere else after 1-2 beer max here.

Exceptional service! We decided to sit on the pateo since it was such a beautiful day too bad the tables are made out of metal and it was just too hot for our liking. We decided to bring our drinks and our beautiful selves inside lolol. The bartender was so sweet and genuine. It was his first day and was super nervous to get the drinks perfectly right to our likings. The drinks were great and They are very well reputable for the fine selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages. We ordered a crême brûlée as well and devoured the delicious bowl full of temptation. We definitely recommend this place to have a drink and enjoy a wonderful time with friends or co-workers. Service was amazing super quick and attentive both the bartender and waitress were super friendly and happy to serve us. The food was 5stars!! Top notch! Super happy with our experience and will definitely be back on another occasion. Thank you for this afternoon a big thumbs up!!!!

Had the best wine and tapas here with friends. 10/10 would recommend this spot for a good time and top quality plates.

I hoped against hope that some clever restaurant would hear my cry for gastronomic help. Lo and behold, Chez Victoire to the rescue! Seeing they were offering a beautiful Easter dinner set menu for a very reasonable $25/person, I called several days ahead to reserve for four people. They were super nice on the phone and in person when I went to pick things up. Very efficient, prepaid and given a specific time for pick up, I was the only customer in the store. I waited and they placed the order on a table and then I could pick it up. Very smooth. The instructions on how to reheat and serve the meal were very clear and easy to follow. The dinner was a real feast, and great value for the money. There was a butternut squash soup with duck confit and Brussel sprout garnish which we actually saved for lunch the next day because it looked like so much food. For the main course, there was leeks with vinaigrette, cauliflower gratin with béchamel sauce, baked beans with maple syrup and braised lamb, and maple syrup ham with carrots, peas and puréed potatoes. We finished off with a delicious maple syrup tart with pecans. I'd say my only minor issue was that I would have liked just a slightly larger piece of ham, otherwise the meal was perfection! Better than anything I could have come up with even under the best of circumstances. I am secretly hoping they keep doing this even after the pandemic for next Easter. Props to Chez Victoire for finding creative ways to stay open during these crazy times. Can't wait to come here in person when life gets back to normal... and I hope they do the Easter take out menu next year so I can pass it off to my in laws as my own cooking. ;)

This is a curious place. In a nutshell, excellent eats, but quite rough off the plates. I'll…read morestart with the maitre'd/host, who was sufficiently surly that you might actually mistake him for being a French caricature out of central casting. Our seating was really great, nice and spacious. Our server was simply... the best. She was attentive, gave us excellent recos -- we elected for a smattering of shareable à la carte small plates rather than the three course tasting menu (there seemed to be so much overlap between the two menus anyway, so we elected for the flexibility of à la carte). The boudin with small prawns was fantastic -- the boudin itself held up in flavor yet was delicate in texture. Excellent burrata that came dressed with really fresh accompaniments and mad points for the rustic bread that came nicely toasted. The octopus was generous enough for four of us to have a good taste and move on -- it came with a lovely red sauce that I wanted to mop up with bread. The tuna tartare was brilliant, the french fries that came with it seemed a tad unconventional. And a big win for the lobster risotto, absolute perfection. I wish I could remember the names of the cocktails we ordered but suffice to say, they were all delicious, never harsh in any way. So one thing I wanted to point out was how this one server -- not our main server who was, again, THE BEST -- kept clearing out plates in the middle of eating. Literally, we're in the middle of enjoying a dish and he'd just swoop in, swipe our plates, and dash off. WTF is that about. This lack of awareness definitely took points off an otherwise rather enjoyable meal. Just watch out for the surly host at the front of house and be prepared to fan off the guy trying to take your plate and you just may have yourself a delightful meal here!

It was around 3pm and of course we were the only people there, but generally didn't find the service to be that friendly or accommodating - it was more courteous and efficient as opposed to being very welcoming, which is totally fine. Overall, like many wine bars in Montreal, the BTG and bottle list skews very heavily toward natural or minimal intervention wines from all over the world (except the United States due to tariff boycotts). Although Quebec is a burgeoning wine producing region (often overshadowed by BC wines from Okanagan and ON ice wines), I found many lists did not offer much from the region, which is really disappointing. vinvinvin definitely had the most options available (perhaps 5-6 total of 40-50+ labels) and many BTG, which is great if you're looking to try some local wines. They do offer food, but the kitchen doesn't open until 4pm so we didn't try anything. Overall, I like the decor of the place and it seems like it'd be a really fun place to hang out with friends. But given that we were the only clients there at the time, I wish the service was a bit friendlier.

Prices were okay, and wine selection is not too bad. We got a couple of vermouths, which were nice to drink. We ordered olives to nibble on and I thought those were good. Decor looks unpretentious at least, but a bit too crowded for my taste. It's an okay place to visit if you want some pre-dinner beverages.

Calamari for an app. A lobster roll for my meal and a drink. The sangria came quick and was good, a little syrupy. The calamari and lobster roll took a while, but maybe they are a bit more relaxed in Canada. No one was available, even for me to waive down, no check ins either. Again, probably customary in Montreal, I don't know the culture that well. The calamari was pretty looking, but it was tough as a well done leather glove. The "lobster roll" had about two pieces of lobster, the rest was small shrimp. The flavor was good, the bun was perfect. But still, for the price, a disappointment. The French fries were delicious but soggy. Maybe that was a spin on Poutine.??? I sat for an hour without being able to get someone. I will not return.

Open kitchen with two chefs and two front of the house staff who were warmly welcomed me and were professional throughout. Had the oysters, clean and crisp with a nice Spanish Cava. Tried the lobster croquetas and the anchovy toast points. Tapas were in point, the anchovies were a tad too salty for me. Ended up ordering the catch of the day, butterflied sea bream. It was the piece de resistance. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the cheek/head was juicy all the way to the tail. The sides were fine, the papas bravas could have been crispier, but fine. Green beans were nicely seasoned. Had half and waved the white flag. Paired it with a tasty Albariño. Great start to quick sojourn in Montreal.
