We…read morestayed at a hotel that was okay, but this dive became the great face of Reims that goes beyond the grandoise opulence of historical France and its pretentiousness. Ernest Hemingway is a total dive, and as a man from Seattle, I was immediately enamored with it. We were here on a Monday night and they were pretty busy, there were a ton of young people out and about, literally a girl in a dinosaur costume running around outside in the freezing night air of late January. The bar tender was very pleasant and quick, granted it was Monday, and we were effectively given our beers and found a seat to enjoy the scenery. If you're looking for something truly comfortable, which I think is pretty unique in the stuffiness that French culture prides itself on, I think that Ernest Hemingway is totally your place. It's not a meal place by any means, it's just drinks and tables for socializing. If we return to Reims in our 20s, we'll probably hit this place up again. I highly recommend for young people looking for a good time.

The cocktail menu has completely changed, on the one hand you still have the classics but on the other hand the bar tender actually created some new cocktails himself (sometimes served with candy!). They are unique and DELICIOUS! You can also find cocktails for groups that will either be served in gigantic martini glasses or frozen fruit such as a pineapple or a watermelon. The music is good and the place is usually quite full. The only downside from a cocktail bar is that you have to wait longer for your drinks -obviously it takes longer to make then a basic drink. Perfect for enjoying a drink after work on the terrasse, a date or celebrating a birthday!

Food menu is limited, pretty much only tapas, burger, chicken skewers and a salmon/scampi dish. You will, however, have plenty of options when it comes to drinks! Beers, wines and beautifully made cocktails (and mocktails). I'd recommend this place for ladies' night or date night.
