    Sophie and my fiancé
    Natasha E.

This was one of the coolest things we did in Paris. Sophie, the owner was so sweet. She asked what scents and perfume brands we liked and then we started blending our perfumes. It was so fun and and a nice way to spend an afternoon in Paris after walking for several days. My fiancé got a $95 bottle and I got a $140 bottle. Kind of an expensive souvenir and it took about 2 hours but I think it was worth it. We have our own signature scent! We got to name our perfume and we can reorder online. I defiantly recommend coming here when in Paris. Oh and the surrounding district is so nice, great for fancy shopping and dining!

Dear Sophie, What a wonderful time I had at your studio. Thank you for having us, and I can't wait for your opening in New York **crosses fingers** Review: When asked what was one of my favorite things about France, this was definitely one of the top 10 things to do. While in France, we stayed in a castle on the outskirts. We had activities planned for each day, but only arts and shopping scheduled for Paris. Well after spending quite a bit of money shopping we decided that our project for the next day in Paris will include making our own perfume. We called, (from our hotel front desk) made an appointment, and voila the next day we were on our journey. Her shop was located in an area that we deemed to be very authentic. Not very touristy, and you can tell that a lot of locals frequent the area. We were warmly greeted at her shop and began the process. Because we were a party of four, we had the luxury of having the studio for ourselves during the process. Sophie was very patient and informative. She explained her role as a "nose", taught us about the different notes in a fragrance, and about how each note reveals itself over time. She then asked us what kind of fragrances we liked, and asked a little more about us to get a scent profile. Well let's just say we had a very diverse group. I like clean scents, my mom likes deep florals, my sister likes woody scents, and my cousin likes fruity scents (particularly peach lol). Yet, even with all our differences she sat with each one of us, helped us go through the process of accepting and rejecting the notes from her vast collection of fragrances, and we all left the shop with something that we loved. I was particularly pleased that I did not become ill with the process. I am very sensitive to certain scents, and just knew that being in a studio of perfumes would trigger a migraine. Gladly it did not. We all opted to go with the largest option, and I definitely plan to order more. (Sophie makes a recipe of each scent so that you can easily order a new version when in the U.S.). My one con is that there was a scent that she ran out of that we all loved, but I kid you not her suggested replacement smelled ten times better (I found out how much better when I returned to the U.S.--apparently once it sets it smells a TON better). My takeaway (after this novel) is that it was a great learning experience, I left with awesome product, and when I get complimented on my scent (which happens VERY often) I can flip my hair and say, "ah this scent?? It's a one of a kind scent made by myself and a professional nose in Paris" :D

Went with my family to make our own perfumes and colognes and we all had amazing experience, they turned out great. Sophie was very helpful and it was a great time. Definitely a fun activity to do in Paris with friends and family!

    Mom, I'm the process.

My mother has been so excited to come here and though she would never admit this, I think she planned our whole trip around having this experience - mixing our own signature perfumes. I honestly did not know what to expect, and went with an open mind... Will was extremely knowledgable, full of energy, helpful and inviting...he made a 2+ hr experience feel like 30 minutes! Long and short of it, all I have to say is wow! We had an amazing time and took away a most unique experience. I can not wait to wear my perfume for the first time when I get back to the states. Thank you for your hospitality, enthusiasm, and expertise!!

This was an amazing one of a kind experience. If you have the time, definitely make this a priority for your Paris trip. Sophie is an extremely knowledgeable guide. She breaks down the process, helps you determine what you're looking for, then teaches you how to mix your own scents. The best part is that you can always re-order your one of a kind fragrance and she'll ship it to you!

I write this with dismay…read more I recently posted on here asking for help finding this particular fragrance. Because Dzing! is discontinued and hard to find. But to my luck, some of the beautiful people on Fragrantica private messaged me and told me about it being available on L'artisan's website for a limited release. After thanking them, I went over to the site and purchased two bottles of this incredible fragrance and was beyond thrilled. However, the next day I realized I didn't receive an email confirming my purchase. So I panicked. I thought maybe if I put the wrong email address, they would now give me a hard time about this time sensitive order. So immediately emailed them and addressed my concern and confirmed the proper email address. (Why a wrong email address would cancel an order is beyond me - typically a store would reach out after going over the other information provided and correct it - but I didn't want to take any chances). So a couple days go by and nothing is heard from L'artisan. So I give them a call. I'm greeted by a woman on the phone with a thick French accent and I begin to tell her about my situation. She puts me on hold, and comes back to tell me that my order was canceled and I will be getting a refund in the next couple of days. With obvious disappointment, I asked "why? Over a wrong email address?" And she didn't have an answer for me but "I'm sorry" and went silent. So I said "oook" and said "thank you I guess" and hung up. Now I'm left rather upset because I know how hard it is to find Dzing! and especially at that price point. So I sat there with my thoughts and got rather frustrated with how that customer representative literally found me no solution and didn't seem to care at all. (I get we're in COVID times and no one cares and pretty much all customer service across the board is terrible). So I call back, and I'm greeted by what I thought was the same lady. Supposedly not. This lady's name was Saliva and she was clearly not interested in helping me. I asked if they knew when it was coming back in stock, and if I could be put on a waiting list/pre order. (Idk) and she laughed at me over the phone. Literally laughed at me. So I asked her what was so funny? Salvia then proceeded to tell me there was nothing she can do for me. So I asked to speak to a manager, which I guess wad also funny. Because Salvia laughed at me again. (I thought I was being pranked). So again, I asked her what was so funny? So after being laughed at, I asked to speak to a manager. Salvia told her manager isn't there until Monday. And I should send an email and try again. Once again, left with no solution, I asked Miss giggles what her name was and told her that I'm complaining about her and her company. I hung up. - A few hours later I received an email from a "Chloe". She told me that they sold out of the product and apologized for keeping my money for the 4 days. (So basically I paid for a product, they canceled my order due to an e-mail issue, and sold my purchased product and kept my money until the issue was "resolved"). After that, I emailed her back asking to have a manager reach out to me and I would like to speak with one. Not only about my experience with Salvia, but with L'artisan as a whole, their customer service, and how no solution was even offered. I was emailed back by Salvia, saying that a manager will contact me on Monday and to have a great weekend. Fast forward to now, It's now Wednesday and I haven't heard a peep from anyone at L'artisan. Now I write this because I actually enjoy their fragrance and product. But I will never purchase a single thing from them again. Their customer service is 0/10 and they clearly don't care about their customers. Figure it out L'artisan, or go out of business like the rest of them who lack any form of customer service.

They have a good variety of sets from full size bottles to miniature sets. Some that come with just parfume, eu de toilette or a combination of soap, gels and parfums. I saw that prices ranged from 16 - 24 Euro for the miniature sets, but the prices are also reasonable for single sized parfum and cologne bottles. Yes, they offer cologne for men here and I was really impressed with how well all of them seemed to smell. I ended up buying a full sized bottle for my brother while I was here, as well as gifts for some of my friends. The lady tending to us was really kind, and she allowed us to take our time and even included individual gift bags as well as a variety of samples for us and the people we were buying for. The gift bags alone seemed to be a work of art and we left very happy and content with our purchases. The only problem now is, where will we shop when we run out of products we bought? Maybe that will be an incentive to return...

I have several go to perfumes and these two are now going to be in heavy rotation. I wasn't sure I wanted to commit, so I wore Un Matin D'orage around for the day to see if I still liked it hours later and I received a compliment on it nearly immediately. I honestly think these may take spots in my new top 3 fragrances. Just divine! My bestie asked "is that French perfume I smell?" when I saw him and was wearing it. Which is hilarious that he says he can tell the difference between my perfumes and which are French perfumes. Hahaha, oui he scored a few extra brownie points with me with that. I'll have this man ready for the ladies in no time with lines like that lol. Service was perfect on both of my visits, with different associates! The scents, the packaging and the burn time place them on the higher end of candles and I like to use the finished glass as pen or make up brush holders. This location was intimate, but had a wealth of scents for both candles and perfumes. I walked in and was greeted warmly by the shop associates. Lucky for me, the lovely woman who helped me spoke English well and helped me practice my French while I was shopping. She was great and helped me pick out a few candles for gifts, and even boxed them beautifully for me and threw in Diptyque matches and samples of their perfumes. For those of you leery of the price point, this is an elegant gift to bring back from Paris. And, they currently are listed at $64 in the US (not including tax).
