We were in Trois Rivieres for a day, and any time we travel we love to find hidden gems, local cuisine and or local microbreweries. Le Temps d'Une Pinte didn't disappoint. We were seated inside, and Mr. Bee started exploring the beer board and decided on a flight. The young woman working was so friendly and helpful to him making recommendations based on his tastes. I chose a nice chilled glass of wine, and we settled in enjoying the coziness, yet industrial feel of the interior. We decided to order a cheese board that featured local Quebec cheeses. They were great! We spent a good hour and a half, watching locals come in and out enjoying food, and drinks. Just know this is Quebec and everyone speaks French, so do your best and at least understand how to say please, thank you and enough to get through the basics, it is appreciated by the locals if you try. There is street parking if you are driving. If you find yourself in port and off a cruise ship, it is within walking distance of the port. read more

Rendez vous au Temps d'une pinte à Trois-Rivière, où de bonnes bières cotoient une bonne table. Mon poulet / curry était excellent et rarement je peux manger aussi bien dans une microbrasserie ! Le service est aussi très bon ! Leurs bières peuvent rivaliser avec n'importe quel microbrasserie, ma Hopinel une IPA était superbe ! If you want to go outside Montreal and see one of the nicest microbrewery in Québec who offer a less simple menu than the others. You should go to Le Temps d'une pinte in Trois Rivière where good beers go along a good menu. My curry chicken and it's rare i can eat as good in a microbrewery. The service is also excellent. Their beer are as good if not better than others, my Hopinel an IPA was superb. You can also buy their coffee as they are Coffee roaster. read more

Great place to stop and have a beer, there are so many to choose from. There are also numerous Jens to choose from and fun appetizers as well. Although we did not stay during breakfast time I saw that there is a café shop and it look like they had some really good coffee there so I might try that again if I come back earlier in the day. We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way back to the airport in Montreal & because my husband was anxious to sample another local IPA. He was a very happy camper after trying the Egoine made by this brewpub that also makes its own honey from hives on the roof & lemonade. The pastrami sandwich I had was was very tasty. Unlike in the U. S., it wasn't crammed with meat & fat but had several slices of a very tender good pastrami on an incredibly delicious fresh seeded rye-sesame bun with fresh tomato, good quality pickle slices, and a nicely dressed salad mix. Hubby had a Scotch egg, just for the heck of it & found both it & the side salad delish. Finish that up with a good cup of coffee & I was too full to contemplate their yummy sounding desserts like creme brûlée, lemon tart, & cheesecake. (Although I was very tempted!). To be polite, let's just say this was an expensive and ordinary experience. Service was slow although there weren't many customers. Food was bland and looked nothing like the beautiful pictures I previously saw on social media. It would have been a decent meal if it wasn't so expensive... I just feel like I fell in some kind of overpriced tourist trap that the locals avoid. Seriously, nothing to see there, don't waste your time and money on an overpriced meal. read more

This place is really good with excellent chef creations and great beer that is all made locally. Chefs are very friendly and service is good if it's not busy. I would definitely avoid on a busy night as service and quality really suffers and it's super noisy and long waits. I was stuck sitting at the bar in the back and it sucks eating at the bar. Only stayed in Trois Rivieres for one day but went to this establishment for lunch and dinner. I was impressed with the fact that they had 11 different beers on tap and had three samplers (five small glasses) of the beers to try. The food was exceptional, the service was a bit slow (food took awhile to come out but worth the wait) but great as I was truly impressed with the wait staff that did a phenomenal job of translating the beer selection and food. The décor was rustic and eclectic yet vibrant and staff were very friendly. For lunch, we tried the stingray tacos, pastrami sandwich, and pork chops, and for dinner we had the shrimp/oyster po'boy sandwiches, the steak, and sea bass dinners. A very unique menu to say the least, but the food was very good and the portions were reasonable. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Quebec and highly recommend to those who are in the area for a place to dine with great food and beer and very good service. read more
