    Poutine that's top notch
    James R.

This place is amazing. They have a great list of beers on tap. The white walls and decor are really inviting. The woman bartending during our visit was great. And the food was very, very good. The poutine may be one of the best in all of QC. The chicken wings were shockingly great. Shocking in the sense that I'm from the US and your classic buffalo wings sauce is essentially butter/Cheyenne/vinegar. These wings were not that. And I don't know what the sauce was, but it was delicious. The chicken skewers were also very nice as was the salad we shared. All in all, I would definitely come back here for the beers and the food. Great experience.

Tons of beers on draft here that's all locally brewed. I opted for a Black IPA on their list which turned out to be amazing! Seemed like a good blend of hops from a traditional west coast IPA, chocolate notes from a porter, and the tart from a sour. Amazing blend I've never had before. Wish we had more time to try more beers but this was just 1 of many stops on our walking tour. We also got the traditional poutine with gravy and curds. Came out super hot. Fries were crispy. Gravy and curds were good. Complimented the beer well.

We had an excellent meal on our last night in town. We enjoyed Le Projet beer, a delicious carrot soup, fish and chips, and poutine. All were very tasty. Our waitress was friendly and answered questions we had about the beers and food.

Neat flight board - the symbols indicate price point for each beer on its own.

Awesome people, great beer flights, finger-licking-good food (we had a Brussels salad and beef short rib) and kicking tunes yet not too loud. If this place were in Chicago I'd be there all the time without a doubt. Go here!!

    Mini Poutine. SOOOOO good.

Oh my goodness, this place is awesome. My husband came here for lunch on our last day in Quebec City and I wish we had come earlier, because we probably would have come back. We shared the veggie burger and poutine and both were fantastic. The veggie burger was juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. I don't even really like cumin, but the cumin flavor in the burger was not overwhelming and complimented the other flavors perfectly. The poutine was delicious and the fries were still crispy, not mushy like they can sometimes get. In addition to the fantastic food, their beer list is extensive and reasonably priced. I fell in love with the Roselianne raspberry cider when we were here.

I came here for my birthday dinner and being across the road from my Airbnb was fantastic. It was busy but service is quick and the two staff members that were working were always checking up to see if we needed anymore food and drinks. Food is good and different to what we're used too, beer is nice with loads of different types and having the ability to have them on a sample paddle is a great idea. This place is a must do for the Quebec area

    Veggie burger!

Super delicious vegetarian burger and fries! The burger had hints of cumin and onion which are my favorites. Lots of beer choices. I got a pint of local beer with Ginger flavors. I actually loved that the menu was all in French (though I don't speak it) because it felt like a really local place. Beautiful old building with original moldings and ceiling.

CoZy bar with great selection of beer and great pub eats.

Really cool architecture inside. Good beers. Friendly staff. Was able to bring my kid in. If I lived close I would come often.

They have great vegetarian options as well. We ordered the shrimp roll, bánh mì, sun-dried tomato lentil dip with pita, and the halloumi salad - everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We sat outside where you can choose between sun or shade, which was really nice after being out biking all day. You can tell the people working here take pride in what they do. Friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and a perfect stop on Île d'Orléans. Would definitely recommend!

Their menu shows alcohol content and their notes. Appetizers only before 5pm, which is what we had. We had the chili appetizer and the French onion soup, and potato wedges with in-house mayo. Chili app was served more on the solid side and served with nacho chips and fixins. Think not of traditional chili soups, but rather chips and dip! French onion soup was rich in flavor, topped with crusted bread and cheese. Our potato wedges were broiled and their mayo was good. Service was friendly and efficient and fast. Interior is casual, clean and comfortable. Would recommend giving this place a shot for a quick drink!

I suspect most of the reviews are based off the beer list and not the food. Let me say service is impeccable and our waiter was amazing. I ordered the cider which was amazing and not sweet but tart. My son ordered the burger and I had the chicken roll for lunch. Both items came with a salad that was delicious. The burger and chicken roll fell short. My son's burger was dry and not flavorful and I could've made myself a much tastier chicken salad at home..... the four stars is definitely for the service and beer. They need to up the food game, but overall a pleasant experience

Obviously havent been updated in a while but the that's what all the good pubs are like :) There are 2 sections I sat in the back part, the front was filled with customers who had been sitting out under those umbrellas before the rain came . Lots of different sized tables. Ooh they have a shelf full of board games. Food: I don't drink but they have lots of craft beers and the couple next to me loved the amount they had on tap. When I first walked in the waitress walked by with what looked like a giant lasagna with salad and I thought oh I want that. When I looked at the menu I realized they don't have lasagna and I figured it must be the croques Monsieur. So that is what I ordered and that is exactly what came. It was very generous and full of cheese which was toasted golden brown it was really good. The salad was good too really fresh the dressing was good. I'm glad I chose it. Staff was nice. They spoke both French and English depending on what you were more comfortable with. I stumbled through French because I'm in Quebec I should speak French. There was a jazz trio playing -- two elderly men on guitar and bass, and a younger fellow on the drums. They were rocking it. The crowd got pretty into it too, applauding the solos, swaying, and tapping their feet, without really getting disruptive. It's a good environment for this sort of music. A lot of jazz bands in bars and restaurants tend to sort of blend into the background, getting just a smattering of applause from the nearest table. It was nice both the musicians and patrons at Le Fou-Bar enjoying themselves. Besides the music, it seems like a pretty standard-issue bar. Not unpleasantly loud or crowded, even with the music. A bunch of beers on tap, mostly from Montreal's McAuslan brewery. The French reviews mention a large whiskey collection, but I didn't inspect it closely. I also saw a food menu, though I didn't see anyone eating from it, so it may be prudent to get your dinner elsewhere. The clientele seemed mostly local, and French-speaking, though the staff did speak more English than I spoke French. They did not seem to mind my non-Francais-parlezing ways. So basically, these five stars are not really for the food or drink or service (which seemed standard), but for being a fun, casual spot to listen to some good live music. From what I can decipher on the website, they have someone playing at 9pm every Tuesday.
