It was a bit far from our hotel but they were kind enough to bring us there via the hotel car for free. It is located on the main road and a lot of people know about it so going there won't be difficult. Interiors showcase local decor and old pictures. It was airy and they had screens around to prevent mosquitoes and flies from coming in. The staff were friendly and prompt too. Since I missed Filipino food so much, we ordered my favorite: Sizzling Pork Sisig which didn't disappoint! Flavours and textures were spot on. We also ordered their grilled chicken -- it was really tasty and juicy, grilled really well and it was well seasoned. Enjoyed the inasal style veggies too, a perfect side to the meats that we had. Loved the different condiments they have on the side of each table -- different dipping sauces and thai pepper. We ordered two desserts: halo-halo and turon with dulce de leche. The halohalo was lovely and apt for the humid weather but the turon was a bit of a let down, it was too soggy and too oily, too bad coz it would've been great. Tambok's is definitely a place to dine in when in El Nido town, food is great and prices are affordable.

Good place for seafood [CORON, PALAWAN Philippines]…read more I don't usually eat 3 full meals a day plus snacking in between (we call it "'merienda") but it's so hard to be disciplined on a diet when surrounded by good food. This is another seafood place we dined in that is closer to our hotel resort. We ordered mostly seafood items here. We picked a couple of live mud crabs from their tank and chose the butter garlic flavor and steamed with garlic. We also ordered pork BBQ, lechon kawali (deep-fried pork belly), nilaga (a comfort food which is stew w/ meat and veggies), and calamansi juice all around. Mom was having a feast the most... she loves crabs. Everything was good. Service was better here as the waiter checked on us during our entire meal. Not a quiet place to have conversations though because of the live band. The only time it got quiet was when the entertainment went on a short intermission LoL! 3.5 Stars. Review #3363

Mind you we were the second guest to arrive the first guest they were just two people. We waited atleast 30mins for the first dish to be served then 5-10mins waiting for the next. Second, The lady server was 0 customer service she looks so pissed serving us, the moment we arrived. She said the platter were 2-3people serving, but in reality its just 1-2 person per plate. Lastly, the Most "Scam" why? We ordered 3 plates of shrimps, it was mostly Head Shrimps the number of head shrimps and the number of shrimp tail are not equal. like 12 heads I counted but only 6pcs of tails.! the worst part they gave us 2 plates and the server said, the cooked mistakenly combined the 2plates order in one plate. So thats already total of 3. We felt scammed like they have the same amount. What was our assurance for their statement. That was over for us. We did not argue we just want to finish our food and leave. For all the tourists visiting, Beware! we Highly NOT RECOMMEND this place! But if you want to risk it go ahead, go waste your time and money . In end you'll end up unsatisfied.

The location right by the beach has great views but very little coverage from the sun and it's very hot. The other location is more shaded at the top level and might be more comfortable. This be but one of the foreigners with roots in El Nido and interestingly it is a Ukrainian restaurant. Certainly curious to the casual passerby since a Ukrainian restaurant in the Philippines an automatic anomaly. But also curious because they: (1) lay claim to housing the "first and only" craft beer brewery on the island -- Bar Boodmo -- and, (2) have a very explicit sign refusing to serve anyone speaking Russian. Russians love the Philippines therefore this proclamation has been met with a lot of backlash. Which affects me not! I sat at the bar with clear intention to order dranks only. The flight of 3 5oz tasters was advertised at 300 PHP but I went ahead and ordered a pint of Cadlao IPA for 270 PHP instead. They detail this IPA to have a "bitter and woody taste, malty, and piney basic notes". I'd say it were more malty with a slight bitterness. At 5.2% ABV, it was mildly refreshing. Obviously not a mind blowing IPA but appreciated nonetheless. This is a more spendy spot for drinks and one that will cater to a certain mood as most, including myself, would rather be sipping on a clean, crisp, and cheap lager in the form of a San Mig.

I had some potato pancakes (just like latkes) with mushroom sauce, and a cheese and meat pie/pastry that was quite tasty.
