My daughter has a tendency to get easily distracted and she did wonderfully keeping her engaged yet still loving the therapy. In fact, my oldest daughter often wanted to join in on the fun. My daughter looked forward to her therapy each week and still asks when we can have Kelli come back. In addition to the in-person therapy, Kelli also provided us with fun exercises we could do on our own to supplement our learning and she also provided me support when working through an IEP re-evaluation. I couldn't ask for more!

We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. My daughter went to speech here for about five to six months in 2017. She never really warmed up to…read morethe therapist but that wasn't necessarily the fault of the therapist. I'm giving them one star because of what happened after we stopped going. I had always paid my copay at the time of the visit every visit. At one point I asked if I had reached the maximum number of visits covered by insurance and was told that I had not yet and that when and if it happens they could ask for approval for more. We quit in late October 2017. I never heard anything about owing any money or that insurance had stopped paying until a year later when I received a letter from a collections agency for $112.28. I immediately called and spoke with Valerie who claims they sent me three bills that were never paid. I never received any bills from them. Because it was already in collections she claimed they couldn't do anything else. At no point did anyone call me to tell me my insurance visits had run out or that I owed any money. Since I had always paid my copay and never received anything from them I assumed that either I had not reached the maximum number of visits or that if I had that insurance had approved additional ones. Now this bill for $112.28 is on my credit report as past due and my credit is irreversibly damaged. I would think that after having established a personal relationship with the staff and the therapist and having always paid in full on the day of the visit, they could have reached out via email or phone. I'm extremely disappointed with how they treated us. As an update to this review. Over a year later, the collections is the only negative not perfect item on our credit report. Yet because of $112.28 the mortgage we are currently applying for will have a significantly higher rate. Our credit fell from 830 to 690 all because of the incompetency of CSTCs billing department. It is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars in extra interest. Words cannot express my discontent and frustration.

Although the DC/MD/VA area is saturated with occupational and speech therapists, ECC stands above all others. Our son not only receives quality services from a therapist trained in dealing with young children through adolescents, but ECC's selection of these therapists is incomparable. ECC's therapists are not only up to date in the latest proven methods but are all caring, compassionate individuals who invest in your child. The benefits our son receives through ECC extend far beyond OT services. He's built a relationship with his OT which motivates and inspires him as a person. Our family is truly blessed to have found ECC.

This provider has no ethics in terms of assessing kids and treatment of kids. This is detrimental for the kids and prevent them from seeking the right service. Please be cautious when you seek advice from this provider. They also do not allow parents to observe the class. Overall, we were here for a week as he was able to meet his OT and PT goals and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The food is tasty (especially the crab soup and the chicken tenders) and come with some tasty sides and desserts. All the therapist that we met and the reception ladies were helpful and always answered questioned with a smile. They have all types of environments to get your loved ones back to some form of independence including a working kitchen with laundry, bedroom and bathroom and even half a car to work on getting in and out of one. There is even a courtyard in the middle of the building that is open until 10pm at night that has lights around the gazebo and other lighted décor around the bushes that looks really nice. The rooms are a nice size and each one contains a chair and a private bathroom with shower. As someone who stayed with my spouse during his stay this was a nice added addition as I no longer had to take take baths out of the sink like at the hospital. Upon discharge the book that is on your bedside table in the room is given to you (recommend reading ahead of time) and they will give you all your discharge paperwork and copies of medication and when to take them to put in the tab selections for your information. Your last day of PT and OT the therapist will also give you items to continue to work on at home and will be placed in their designated area. The area around the rehab center also has a lot of convenient places like pharmacy, food, convivence stores, restaurants, and Walmart. My recommendations: I would recommend if able to eat your meals in the dinning room as you have a greater selection of options instead of in your room. Also the day nurses seem to be more on top of medication and additional request so that is why I subtracted one star.

You may think that you have checked in, as you receive: "You're all Set" message at the end and then you find out after wasting your precious time that you still need to check in at the lobby. Doctors often will tell you lies or just tell you straight to your face that they will not send you to a specialist with excuses that do not make sense even if you request to do so due to a visible conditions. The whole institution feels like a bandage only - if you know what I mean. They just keep taking your money and you get nothing in return.
