I've never had hygienists like they do here--they're all overly-versed on all things dental-hygiene related. You can tell that they love their jobs and are treated well. It also happens that their dental relations (oral surgery, etc) are also chosen with great care. (One I worked with before discovering this office, another they sent me to where I had a very easy time with a sinus lift and bone graft for a future implant). While my care plan and journey is pretty straight forward, my husband has an insane and complex dental journey ahead. If I call about whatever he should get done next, I'm confident that they'll help me get him in the chair and help him go forward with the rest of his checklist. Making a care plan here is easy breezy like Sunday morning. They will have you confident and sorted with your dental priorities and insurance. I already drive about 25 minutes to get to the Lansdale location, but if they moved, I'd just buckle up for a longer commute. The last time I was there, I noticed that Dr. Kaffey had a plaque near the front desk regarding his time as president to a regional dental association. Definitely something that wasn't surprising. The work done and leadership here is pretty stellar.

We chose Advanced Dentistry of Harleysville for convenience of location, provision of pediatric dental care, in-network insurance coverage, soonest new patient appointment, and reviews from other community members. I had contacted 3 other dental offices prior to making a decision. To say we had an incredible first experience is an understatement! My husband has some dental anxieties and had a wonderful experience with both the dental hygienist and dentist, Dr. Shah. His first appointment was scheduled for the next day which included X-rays and a thorough cleaning and examination. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and honest without being pushy about services or "extras" that may not be needed. I went a week later with my toddler and had a wonderful experience as well. They were quick and great with my uncooperative toddler and did not mind him hanging out to wait for me to be done. My appointment felt very thorough as well and the staff, once again, was amazing. Dr. Shah laid out options for future dental work, but encouraged me to think about everything as it was not urgent. Not one person in the office was pushy with anything and explained each step and answered all questions. Wonderful experience with a very nice office and great staff. Highly recommend! What drove me…read moreaway was that during the height of early Covid, when it was advised by professionals not to visit dentists except in emergencies, they continued to let my insurance plan run out. The thing was, in my first year that I had the plan they were very communicative - constant texts, phone calls, and emails - asking me to come in for visits. I was out of the country for several months and wasn't able to get there, but I did take note of their exuberance to get me into their office. The plan autorenewed while I was away and then Covid hit. In my second year of the insurance plan, which is/was Kleer Dental Insurance, I didn't have any visits to their office at all. But the interesting thing was that they never reached out at all - no calls, no emails, no texts - trying to get me in for visits. So I assumed that, added to the news and what the medical advisory was at the time, that either their office was temporarily closed or, at the very least, they had suspended the Kleer Insurance from running out during the pandemic. When I finally called for an appointment after it was considered safe, they mentioned my Kleer Insurance plan was nearly expired. When I inquired if they had not suspended it from running due to Covid, the assistant on the phone got very short tempered with me and said as they had been open the entire time that they hadn't suspended the insurance period and would not give me any extension. I made certain to tell them not to autorenew my plan as I would no longer be going there. The woman on the phone said, "That's fine," in a very short manner and hung up the phone. I spoke with a representative from Kleer after that who mentioned they had told all the dentist offices who use that insurance that they were fine with any extensions to the plan period due to Covid, and were sorry to hear that Smile Exchange decided not to honor that and extend it at all. While I know Covid was tough for many businesses, this was just an extremely nasty and underhanded business practice. I had been a good patient throughout my first year there and received zero treatment or use of my plan in the second year due to the pandemic, yet they refused to extend my plan by even two months even though Kleer insurance would have allowed it. A shame really cuz they lost a good customer that day.

The folks at the Warrington Smile Exchange do an outstanding job making you feel comfortable. The hygienist who takes care of me has the steadiest hands and could not be kinder or more friendly. After completing my X-rays and consultation with the dentist, I was then advised there was "no time" left for my cleaning. I expressed my concern because only part of the appointment was honored. I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, so the lack of fulfillment was extremely unprofessional and showed very little consideration for patients and their time.

Despite that, I was later billed for charges I never knowingly approved and never agreed to pay out of pocket. What made this worse was the lack of transparency. I repeatedly asked for clear documentation, itemized charges, and proof that I signed for certain services they later claimed I owed. Instead of properly resolving the dispute, the account was sent to collections and reported to the credit bureaus. I already paid significant amounts directly to the office, including payment for Invisalign by credit card, yet they still pursued additional disputed charges without properly explaining them. Patients should be very careful here and request everything in writing before agreeing to treatment. Make sure you fully understand what insurance covers and what they may later try to bill you for. Very stressful experience overall, especially the handling of billing and collections.

I loved my old Dentist and hygienist, two people I've gone to twice a year for close to twenty years. I started researching Dentists that accepted my new insurance and found Dr. Fournier's office. Then, while flossing (proof I floss), I ripped out an old filling. I called this office to set up an appointment and they told me November was for hygiene checks, about five months from now. A great sign that they are busy, but I explained I had an issue. They told me they could see me sooner for that, so we set an appointment for Monday. The staff were friendly, but after meeting Dr. Fournier, I knew I had my next dentist. Her personality was amazing, bedside manner was perfect. They had to drill and fill my tooth today, no lie, I think I was out of there in fifteen minutes... She kind of joked about how I am with Dentists, am I nervous, am I okay with needles, all sorts of questions, because we don't know each other. When I was injected, she told me to breathe out and breathe in. Did that work? When I had that tooth drilled before, I teared up. Not from pain, but because that spot was connected somehow to my left eye's tear duct... Did the breathing work? Maybe? After my appointment, they told me there were some cancellations the week of the Fourth of July, so no more November check. I'll be back this month. The only two things that make me nervous are having to make a left out of that parking lot. I could make a right and find my way home, but I feel it could not be good at rush hour. No issues today. The second thing is that I have an internal dread that Dr. Fournier is going to retire someday while I still need dental work... I don't want to find someone new. I also befriended everyone in my HR department to ensure they won't switch insurance on me again...
