You're generally assigned one or two student at the beginning of the school year and you quickly develop a bond with them and figure out their learning habits and their strengths or weaknesses. And if you mess up a problem or something, it's okay because it shows the kids no one is perfect and it's okay to be wrong as long as you admit it and learn from the mistake. Tutoring Chicago goes all out for these kids and it's very cool to see. I have only been doing this for a few months, but recently we had the holiday Christmas part where the kids wrote letters to Santa about what they wanted for Christmas.
