One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. After over a year the job is still not completed after multiple attempts. The workmanship is primitive at best and nobody will take responsibility from the local office, all the way to the corporate office. They installed leaf guard filters thre first time jacked it all up they came a second time and rigged the leaf filter by screwing into my brand new drop edge my roof and gtters are less than 2 years old!! Worse customer experience I ever had dealing with such company is very frustrating. Salesman showed on time for the estimate give me a price when I told him I am still waiting for another estimate he dropped down the price to 1/3 of his original price after calling his manager to get the new price. I signed the contract and that was it, they never show up on installation date or call me to reschedule, so I called customer service they said that they have a note on their system that the installer will not be able to make it to my house on the scheduled date and should have called you. I ask to speak to a manager and 3 days later I am still waiting for someone to call back. Noting that I did not bargain on the original price the manager dropped it down because they want to keep his guys busy as he said. I would give them a negative rating but regrettably no less than 1 star which they do not deserve it. read more

This company was referred to me by Angies list when I was looking for gutter cleaning quotes. They said they don't do that and wanted to set up an appt to give me an estimate on gutter covers. I made the appt and then read the reviews on this site. I called back to cancel the appt and the rep came at me with a very rude tone when I said I had read the YELP Reviews then hung up on me before confirming the cancellation. I'm glad I cancelled. I bought this system on a Thursday for a Tuesday install. Nobody showed on Tuesday or called. I called no return call. On Wednesday still no call. I called their install supervisor mid afternoon. He said we can't do the job as you have a steel roof. I had a steel roof on Thursday so now you can't do the contracted job. When you negotiate the price they settle for less than half of their offer. They offered $6750 we agreed to $3300. I tried their customer service. Their rep could not have cared less. read more

When the salesman arrived, he was nice enough, but his sales pitch took forever. Then he measured our gutters and took pictures. He then continued with his long sales pitch. Then he finally told us it would be $14,000.00 ....I gasped! My husband said thanks for your time but no thanks. Then he came back several times with lower prices until he was down to $6080.00. I rarely give bad reviews knowing company has to make a living. But the sales man at this company is terrible! I inquired on line and LeafFilter sent this sales man to us. He was obnoxious and rude when I wanted more time to think about it. He started with $40 to $50 per foot and when I told him I thought it was high and needed time to think about as I have not explored other companies. He then reduced about 1/3, then to less than 50% of original price if I sign immeditately. Failing that he started shaming tactic. He told me with this is a small investment on a multi-million dollar house and insinuating that I was cheap to shop around. They don't tell you that they remove all the heavy duty gutter hangers (that my roofer just put up) in order to fit the guard into the gutter. Brand new roof and gutters. Now the gutters leak, overflow, and they damaged some gutter pieces. The cheap hangers cause the gutters to sit crooked now and there are gaps between the trim and gutter. They removed some corner hangers and just left a hole, didn't replace the hanger. VERY DISSATISFIED!! read more

Worst customer service, a month of waiting and nothing happens! A month of calling and asking for someone to come to my house so we can get an estimate to claim the insurance for the damage gutter after the storm on Friday, the 13th of September, more importantly to fix our gutter to get ready for the rainy season! Today, I called and the representative said she would get a manager on the phone, then she came back said "No one was available." and she will send a message to the upper management and we will probably hear back from them tomorrow, October 18. How about get someone out here today and get it done after being screwed up for a month? We testify that every time we called we were very calm and polite, we are very forgiving and patience people and they took advantage of us and we are not going to be quiet anymore. There should be no star for this review if it was an option, here the CON list about this company. 1. The salesman was rude, he came in with an attitude of don't waste my time if you are going to just checking on price. I told him you can leave if a customer can't practice the consumer right then he came to senses to be nice and showed his other side, a family man, to win us over. we agreed to install only I wanted a safety for my husband that he doesn't have to get up there to clean the gutter ever again. Now we both are suffering from the pain of getting them to do what they suppose to do. 2. Inconsistency, my close friend paid for the same products, same company from a different salesman for half of the price we paid. 3. Overall 4.5/5, I've been seeing the Facebook advertising and the yearlong bid definitely got my interest. I filled out my information online and they actually called and left a message a few times. I would have called them myself, but just was busy so when they called this last time, I was actually home and was able to set an appointment surprisingly 2 days away from when we talked. The appointment was for 9am sharp and the coordinator was at my house alittle after 8:45. The initial walkthrough was about 20 minutes inspecting, measuring and taking pictures of the gutters. The "explanation/background info" plus the final estimate was roughly another 25 mins. So about 45-1hr for the inspection and estimate for those who are curious. I forgot to mention that the inspector name was Rocky and nice easy going man who's imo very easy to talk too. Now not to knock Rocky at all but here's the reason I gave it 4.5/5, but I'm not overly fond of the additional small discount of agreeing to have the gutters screens install right there and then. It's a common practice, but it's a slight pressure tactic that I wasn't aware this company did because I just saw a year long bid to do at a later date. Anyways, when I agreed to do it and Rocky calling it in, I was even more surprised to have the project done literally the next day. So basically in a span of 4,days, I set up a meeting, had an estimate and had this project done..I'm extremely happy for the quick turnaround versus some of my other projects which has taken 2 plus months to meet, setup/design and work/finish. Anyways, I wasn't home at the start, but my mom was able to let in so to speak, Tim our contractor/installer. When I drove home, I was greeted by Tim and I asked him if he had any difficulties or saw any and he mentioned no. Tim from my understanding came in around 8:30ish when the window was a 8-1pm window, so good time and being on time! He was very conscientious of being proficient, quick and clean with his work, along with being polite. I'm not planning on climbing my roof to inspect the gutter screens, but was thankful for Tim pointing a few things out and showed me the pictures of the installed screens. Tim was done with our house around 11ish so 2.5 hrs for this project to be completed (very quick imo). So as of right now, I'm fully content with this company and would recommend them if you need some protection for your gutters. read more

First-in my life I've never seen a worse reviewed company or product! Wow! Read through some of these. My experience was with a very nice salesperson that was persistent but not rude. The sales model they use is ancient history - you know the kind: "here's your price but for today only we'll knock the price down blah blah blah" So I was quoted, initially, $6k to cap and seal the gutters on my 1,800 square foot house. Yes, you read that right, CAP not replace. Salesperson could not answer question about the debris that lands on top of their screen system thus negating their system completely. Sure the gutters would be sealed but they would be useless if the screens are covered. I really don't see how this product works at all if you have any amount of trees overhead. Even at half the price I wouldn't put this system on my house-come to think of it, I wouldn't put this system on my house if it were $500. It's not helping my drainage system at ALL. read more

Please see leaffilter-sucks.com The Leaffilter product sucks. Here's why: Leaves and pine debris accumulate on top of the mesh for weeks. Eventually this blocks the flow of water from the roof into the gutter and the water simply flows over the top of the gutter. This is not what I was promised by the sales pitch. I really feel sorry for Jon, the sales rep. He showed me the product - I liked it and I bought it. Unfortunately, the installation crew can't get to the work site when they say they will. I waited all day for them. I was told they would be there by 9:30 AM. At 11:00 I called the project manager, Chris but went to voicemail. At about 11:30, I was told that the crew was running late but assured me, they would be there. They never showed! They never called to tell me why! Chris called and said they would upgrade the the product slightly and be there the next Monday by 9:00 AM. Guess what? They are not here and it is 11:00! Does that come with a trip to Tokyo? Clue 4 - The special discount No worries....we'll knock it down to $5900... Clue 5 - If you don't buy from me tonight I don't get paid. Sorry pal, true or not, not my fault you work for dirtbags. Clue 6 - OK...I'll knock another $500 off, because ...can't even remember... $5400..and counting Clue 7 - The desperation call 90 minutes later... I'll do it for $5,000 taxes included, last chance Clue 8 - The call from a new "Supervisor/Boss whatever at 9:30.... Met some people from LeafFilter at Burien's Strawberry Days festival. Gave them my information and they contacted me to set up an appointment for somebody to come for an estimate. During the initial call when I was setting up the appointment, I was asked "will your spouse be there?" and I responded that she would not. The person on the other end said that they prefer that both homeowners be present and that I should reschedule for another time. I told them it would be fine, but got additional resistance. This was a red flag for me, but I thought I'd give them a chance. So, this past Wednesday June 20th 2018, they were supposed to have somebody out to my new house in Burien at 3PM for an estimate. At 3:38 PM I got a call from LeafFilter saying that their estimator was running an hour late. When somebody is late, generally the courtesy call goes out *before* the time they were supposed to arrive, not well after. I informed them that waiting any additional time did not work for my schedule and that we should reschedule. The appointment was moved to Saturday, June 23rd at 1:00 PM. At 1:20 PM on Saturday, I called LeafFilter to ask what was going on, because I had not been contacted yet by the rep and nobody had shown up. The guy I spoke with put me on hold to contact the regional manager and then informed me that LeafFilter would call me back as soon as they hear back from the regional manager. I waited 20 minutes, then called LeafFilter back at 1:40 PM. They answered the phone as they always do "It's a great day today at LeafFilter!" and I felt a little bad for the lady who got to take my call, because she sounded so cheery at the beginning of the call. I told her "It's not a great day for me. Somebody was supposed to be at my house 40 minutes ago to provide an estimate." She replied and confirmed that she saw a note on my account that said there had been some scheduling problems and she told me that they were working to resolve the issue, but asked me what I'd like to do. I replied, "What I'd like to do is cancel the appointment and never do business with your company in the future." Her tone immediately changed, I felt like I'd kicked her puppy. "o-ok" she replied. I told her to have a nice day at LeafFilter and hung up. Both of these days I had things to do that waiting around for LeafFilter prevented me from doing. Had I received a courtesy call BEFORE the scheduled appointment time, I might have been more forgiving. However, they were completely disrespectful of my time and I cannot forgive that. Just spent a fortune having part of my house fitted w/gutter leaf covers. Not sure they will work or not -- but what I do know is that they left a huge mess -- blew all the debris out of my gutters and onto my deck furniture, pool, BBQ and yard. They walked all over my tile roof - who knows what damage they did up there! When I called -- they did not offer to send anyone back -- just that they would call "corporate". I had leaf filter come out to give me an estimate. It started at 13K. You could see the salesman fiddle with non-existent numbers trying to get the best price. The house has gutters in good shape and we were going to add a few more gutters some to the front and one in the back of the house. Having installed gutters before myself I knew that this price was way to high. The salesman knew I would not pay that price because I told him so. He dropped the price, to high still. He then went out to his car and came back with a paper that said total investment $4302.00 to install the new gutters, seal the old and new gutters and put leaf filter in all the gutters. I told him I would get back to him. A few weeks later after giving others the same chance to get me to buy, though leaf filter was still the most expensive, I called and emailed the salesman, no response. I called the company and was told the salesman or his supervisor would call me back. No response. I waited a week and tried again, no response. A week later I tried the salesman's phone and he answered. He said text him my name and address and he would get back to me, it has been almost two weeks and I have not heard from him. Last week, a week to the day after I spoke to the salesman I called the company this time I was assaulted by the receptionist to whether or not I had a contract, she brought this up several times. I said no I have a paper from the salesman that says full gutter and LF cost, total investment $4302.00. I also explained that I had not heard from anyone and I was wanting to get the gutters/leaf filter put up. She said she would let someone in management know and they would get back to me. I sent in a request on the web for an estimate. I got at least 6 phone calls over the course of one week. They scheduled someone to come out at 6pm when it was dark. Did nothing to accurately measure my gutters, didn't inspect the gutters. Then sat down to give me a $3800 estimate, after military discount (of which I am not a member of), offered a senior citizen discount of which I am not. And refused to leave me with a written estimate, but mentioned it would be good for a year. I don't know how in today's day and age when I can order a car on the internet, do research on fair prices and options do they resort to such an antiquated sales process. The LeafFilter screen does keep your gutters clean. However, debris and roofing pebbles stick to the screen and rain water just rushing over the screen. This is especially true where roof gables come together and the water just rushing over the gutters now. Clean gutters but save your money and don't put up gutters period. Plus, no returned calls after job was done. read more

I called for an estimate. The guy came out today. Things started off bad when he showed up not wearing a mask. He said he preferred not to wear one. When I said I didn't understand why not, he said he'd had the vaccine (which I suspect is a big fat lie). He did have a mask and put one on when I wouldn't let him in otherwise. He did the inspection. Quoted me over $4,000. Then (oh, wait!) we had a cancellation. We can give you a 25% discount if you decide today. I said did not want to decide today. That I had no pressing need to have it done and I would like to do more research. Then he accused me of being dishonest and I kicked him out of the house. I felt that question was not relevant for an estimate. Very discriminatory (single person). This company also does not give estimates or does work on one story townhomes of properties attached. Buyer beware! These gutter covers do not work! If you have snow in the winter you will be very disappointed and when you call to talk to the company about it they tell you tough luck. I met with the salesman and he explained the gutter system to me. Along with that he explained that it was quite a big job..he stated "you have enough gutters on your house "almost as long as foot field". Now that I have time to think about it, I am not sure how he measured the gutters in the dark and rain. The salesman kept going on about how many gutters I had and how it would take 2 to 3 workers to get them in 2 to 3 days. He also said I was lucky because in my area they were running a 15% discount on the price. He stated the next house was not eligible and that I would have to get them that night or I would not get the discount. Dumb me went ahead and got the Leaffilter. I did not have cash to cover the over priced Leaffilter so he assured me I could get financing at 6.99%. Well he never mentioned it could also be 12.99%. Needless to say he called and got an appointment for the next week. I was surprised to find out on the 1st day there was only one (1)...yes one installer. He came after 8 am and left by 3 pm. On the second day I was home and I went out and asked if he was the only installer and he said "yes" and stated "he would be done that day". I assumed the outragious price was partly because of the almost football field of gutters I have on my house. But obviously that wasn't the case. They knew to only send one installer because the salesman was basically telling a lie. He was not honest about the time to install the Leaffilters. So I paid over $4,000 a day for one installer. I contacted the salesman and he didin't understand my point. I informed he was just like a car salesman. So don't use these guys...they will rip you off and be dishonet right to your face.
