American Tobacco, otherwise known as the Smokin' Eagle Lounge. I was there yesterday for a friend's birthday celebration. First and foremost I must compliment what stood out most: the owner Buddy, and if I'm not mistaken, the general manager Stephanie, are just SO nice. Plus being as I'm really just a once in a blue moon cigar guy and not an afficianado by any stretch of the imagination, I asked Buddy for a suggestion within a certain price range and based on what few cigars I know and could tell him I like. The one he suggested I found delicious, and consistent in flavor through its entire length. The place has great decor/ambiance, comfortable seats, and just a very inviting vibe all-around. It was a wonderful venue for a very enjoyable evening shared with great friends (several of whom appear to be regulars here). Very welcoming, go and enjoy! read more

Finally! Stumbled upon this "oasis" recently and don't want to leave! This inviting lounge, with its great cigar selection, friendly staff, and crazy comfortable leather chairs, (not to mention huge flat screens everywhere) make it the perfect place to rest your weary bones and relax. As far as the selection goes, plenty of names you'll recognize, and Buddy (the proprietor) also carries plenty of the up and coming boutique blends. There is something for every taste. I had originally went here for my first time just trying to find an affordable way to have my every day cig. I ended up saving loads and finding out there's so much more to love about this place. Great cigar lounge to relax and smoke. The lighting is set for relaxation as opposed to most other NJ lounges that are bright. Couches are extremely roomy and comfy. The TV's are big and provide good views from anywhere in the lounge. Ventilation was great and humidors are top notch with one walk in. They don't carry all the cigars I was looking for but the selection is nice with high quality cigars. I'm sure if I became a regular the owner would buy some of my favorites. Pricing is obviously higher than online or outlet retailers but they are reasonable and they need to make a profit so I don't know why people ever complain about paying a couple dollars more per stick when visiting places like this. Hours of operation are good since he is open later than mostly all the other places in the area. Owner was very nice and it's clear he'll go out of his way for his customers. The ONLY reason I didn't give five stars is because if you want to take a drink (I'm assuming he meant just alcohol) to enjoy with your cigar you must be an associate member which costs $200 per year. I'm not complaining about it as I understand the business decision behind it, I just don't necessarily need to do that in order to enjoy a drink and a cigar since I can smoke in my basement. For that reason if I really wanted a drink with my cigar I'd just smoke at home or go somewhere else where I could. If it weren't for having that other option I would say it would be worth the price to be able to drink while I smoke. All in all I rate this lounge far better than the competition and it will be my go to spot when wanting to get out of the house and relax with a smoke. read more
