Finally in Burwood, Leah's is my favourite place in Sydney for waxing and hair removal. Located on Level 2 inside Westfield. The eye catching blue is hard to miss and the salon is definitely impressive. It is neat and clean and way more hygienic than other waxing salons. The pricing is also the lowest and most affordable. Being a new salon, they have specials on offer and I love using their special eyebrow deal every time I visit. Waxing is usually quite dull, but if you want to have a Good time, ask for Lina. She is extremely good and a whole lot of fun! I felt I was chatting with my bestie and she definitely made waxing a whole lot more interesting. Waxing is painful, but under's Lina's expertise, you almost feel you're at a spa! Sometimes it is difficult to get an appointment as a walk-in. It's also annoying to know the free parking limit inside the mall is only 2 hours. However, they are very quick at waxing and once in, you can be out in under an hour. read more

I had high hopes for this salon as it is located inside a busy centre and looks great. However this was definitely not the case. Customer service is terrible. Not even a smile or acknowledgment from any of the staff as you walk in. They seem irritated by your presence and barely look at you when you speak to them. I had a leg wax and was left with larger chunks of wax on the bottom of my leg which i had to scrub off when i got home. I also had patches of hair still visible on areas of my leg. I would have excused the half hearted waxing job, had the customer service been descent. I dont have one nice comment about this place. read more

Katina and Jessica from your Burwood salon are absolutely amazing, last Friday I had originally had an appointment at a different salon but unfortunately ran 15mins late and couldn't be seen. Annoyed and upset I rang Leahs Waworks Burwood to be answered by Katina who immediately took care of me and was able to fit me in even though i arrived after 5:00pm. Katina & Jessica thank you so much I truely appreciate that you guys accommodated me. read more

They say your get what you pay for and in this instant they are right... Cheap bikini wax = having to pluck hair that was not removed (a lot of hair), wax still left on my skin (chunks) & an added purchase (from another store) of soothing after wax cream since the person who waxed me was brutal!! I should have added $20 to the $35 I paid for this and gone somewhere cleaner, more professional & where they might actually removed the hair you're paying them too. So disappointing! read more

I've been to Leah's Wax Works, Burwood, twice. The first time was wonderful! It was so good that I decided to go a second time. Perhaps I got Lina, who Chandni S. recommends so highly! The second time, however, was dismal. I was very specific about my eyebrows. I asked the lady to try to make them symmetric (my eyebrows are naturally asymmetric), thick, and less arched. I told her that I was transitioning to full-time glasses, as opposed to contacts, and so it was crucial that my eyebrows look more symmetric. I also told her that it was all right if she left the stray eyebrow hairs in tact, as I was working hard on growing thicker eyebrows. Once she finished, I looked at the mirror. I looked so terrible that I had to hold back the tears. My eyebrows were (and still are) extremely asymmetric. One was arched, the other was straight. I told her that I was unhappy. I pointed to the place where I worked hard to grow back my eyebrows, and told her that she waxed it off. She denied everything, however red skin under the eyebrow arch is pretty damning evidence that it was waxed off. I will never return to Leah's Wax Works. It's unfortunate that the quality of staff is so heterogeneous - one was extremely good, one was extremely bad. But I am unwilling to take this amount of risk when it comes to my face. read more

I have been to this place 4 times each with a different lady. Aweful customer service and my brows were worse after then before. Extremely rude employees. Definetly will be avoiding this place in the future read more

I had the worst eyebrow and upper lip wax here. The lights in the room are are a little darker than you'd expect and so when you look in the mirror afterwards, you can't tell how bad it is. They also don't spend enough time to make sure they do a proper job. I feel like the whole appointment was quite rushed. I considered going back but I felt that they would not do a good job and I would leave yet again unsatisfied. I had to tweeze the remainder at home. read more

Firstly burnt from the hot wax leaving red welts on my skin for upto 2 weeks, had to see medical attention and use an antibiotic cream. Underarms feel like they are also bruised. Not to mention how rude the staff are. 2nd time visiting over 2 years same thing has happened both times and also to relative and friends. Will never go back read more
