There are endless amounts of good things I could say about Leana, first off if you're thinking about hiring her, do it!! She was so amazing from the moment we hopped on zoom until now (3 weeks post wedding). She was so helpful offering vendor recs and timeline/planning support. We met in person and on calls several times throughout the planning process and really got to know her which helped so much in creating beautiful photos and candid moments. Leana and I did a boudoir photo shoot which came out SO BEAUTIFUL and she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful the whole time. She even walked me through the process of making it into a book to give to My husband on wedding day (a moment she captured beautifully in photo AND video) and gave me tips on how to design it myself so I could save a little $$ instead of her getting the book made (which she also offered.) Fast forward to wedding week and rain suddenly appeared on the forecast 2 days pre wedding. As any bride would, I panicked and Leana talked me through it for two days straight, helped to adapt the plan, and gave suggestions. The rainy romantic photos turned out GORGEOUS. Always late to work, with a list of excuses, and shorted me an hour of work. We sadly had a very unprofessional experience with Leana. She overbooked herself and did not really have time for our engagement session and wedding. She showed up late to the engagement session with excuses, giving us way too much information about her home life. Then, on the day of my wedding, I sent her the venue address and time we were to meet, and also sent here a link to google maps. She called me a half hour before the ceremony saying she was in a completely different city - she had gone to the wrong venue. She showed up right before my ceremony started to do rushed getting ready pictures, and was rude to my family. She took her mistake out on us. After the ceremony, she made snarky comments about the photos I wanted taken, and left a half hour early before the cake cutting because of more excuses. She said she could refund some of my money or do an album for us. I stupidly asked for the album. It has now been 10 months since our wedding day, and every few months she will contact me with more excuses as to why she still has not completed the album. read more

Leana photographed our wedding in Big Sur on 03.19.2022. She was the breath of fresh air we didn't know we needed. She followed through on all her promises, she called and emailed when she said she would, she arrived on time, and she delivered the sneak peek of our photos quicker than we expected. She was very down to earth and made us feel comfortable in front of her camera. She was there to help in any way and she did so on multiple occasions. We are disappointed with our experience we had with Leana. From the beginning we made it very clear what we wanted, but she did what she wanted. She is rude, stubborn and has poor memory and communication skills. We always had to call and coordinate with her to make sure we were on the same page, but she missed out on major events, used her own props, and was very forgetful. All while seeming to not care. Just to point out a few things, Leana took multiple photos of the bride by herself even though she stated she did not want that, and missed on the first look with dad even through it was discussed over the phone and in text. She used her own jewelry box instead of what we gave her for the rings, and she spent so much time on the details that the bride was rushed into the wedding dress and was not able to even look in a mirror. Leana also does not pay attention to details. When the maid of honor was trying to fix the brides train, Leana said no. She disregarded requests to have the beautiful beach view in the background of the photos, and instead only got the corner of the hotel room. During the family photos, no one could hear Leana and she did not direct people where to stand even though she had an assistant to help with this. She made our elderly grandparents walk back and forth for seemingly no reason without consulting us first. At the reception, there are no photos of us talking to or hugging guests. There are random photos of people, and they were not flattering. She took photos of the appetizers and not the main course which everyone loved. We planned our whole timeline around beach sunset photos but she was upset and told us we did not have time to get down to the beach. All the poses were awkward and uncomfortable. This was very disappointing because we left our guests that traveled far to celebrate with us to take photos where we had previously discussed we did not want them. The photos we got were either blown out white or black background. Leana even said the iPhone photos our friends took captured the views better. Somehow our videographer was able to capture the beautiful background that Leana could not. Even though Leana claims to have done many weddings, do not trust her with yours. Seems like she has not had one herself. She says she wants to get to know you and does not just show up to take photos, but she did just that. She was up front around our arch during the ceremony taking loud distracting photos. They were very unnecessary photos, and she was wearing a purple jacket and flower dress that stood out from our guest's dress code. Our DJ dressed up better than her. On top of it all, Leana invaded our privacy and broke our contract. She would rather post our photos for her own gains than respect us. She does not care about her clients or try to make things right. We don't even want to print any of her photos she gave us. In all, if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, do not hire Leana. read more

Unfortunately we would not recommend working with Looking Glass Photography. We did not receive our photos as promised to us in our contract until four months after our wedding. The first set was sent three months after the wedding and was lost in the mail. She promised our photos would be to us within 4-5 weeks of the wedding (both verbally and in the contract), and emailed us in the 4th week following and said she had a family emergency that would delay receipt of our photos. If it hadn't been such a struggle to work with Lookingglass Photo prior to the wedding, we would've been more understanding. We were discouraged by the delay based on our previous interactions. At our initial meeting, Leana emphasized being an integral part of our planning process. However we ended up only speaking with her twice in two brief phone conversations in the year leading up to our wedding, despite continual attempts on our end to schedule time to meet. She canceled 30 minutes before a venue walk through we had arranged saying she had a personal emergency, and did not show up to a phone meeting we had scheduled to talk about the day-of timeline. I requested a copy of our contract about three months before the wedding and it took weeks for it to finally arrive (she said her copier was not working and she did not have a digital copy). Overall, she was easy to work with on the day of the wedding and we were happy with the majority of the photos. However, when we received the photos, it seemed like she had not taken the time to look through all of them and get rid of the ones with eyes closed, backs to camera, etc. that we did not expect to receive in our final set. I do not like posting negative reviews and wish that we had had a more positive experience with this company to share. read more
