Kelly, aka Mommy Peaches, treats every child with love as if they were her own. She makes every day a fun day and many times the kiddos don't want to leave! They enjoy fun and engaging activities, outdoor play time, nutritious snacks, learning their ABC's and also how to be kind toward others. Not only are the kids learning but they are having so much fun! The biggest worry anyone has is leaving their precious baby with a stranger. The first time I met Mommy Peaches, the worry was thrown out the window. She immediately makes you feel like family. Her passion for life and sincerity is so infectious and it shows with the kids. Mommy Peaches has the best set ups and parties. What really warmed my heart was during every holiday, she would always send my daughter a gift or gift bag. My daughter was never in her school. It just shows how big her heart is. I also have to add, she is meticulous clean! How does she do it with kids around....I have no idea?! Thank you for all that you do!! The program is a combination of play based activities with a strong focus on academics to prepare them for K-12. They also learn words and songs in Spanish and sign language. Each week they get to practice writing, coloring, cooking, science, experiments, sharing toys from home, and extracurricular activities like gymnastics, martial arts, music and much more! The facility is impeccably clean and organized, with toys and activities presented in rotation to keep them stimulated and engaged. My son is strong willed and easily one of the most stubborn individuals I've ever met, but the staff here handled him with grace and helped guide him to foster excellent social and listening skills. Ms. Sonja, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Abigail, Ms. Gen, and even Ms. Dara who is no longer there - THANK YOU for loving and caring for my child like he was your own. They have been nothing but patient and kind with him. I want to comment about Ms. Jackie because I recently saw a negative review about her, and it made me really sad to see what was written about her. It's tough to see something like that written about someone, knowing that words like those can really hurt a person's character and reputation. I've never seen any of the behaviors mentioned in the negative review but only kindness from Ms. Jackie, even the times I would drop off my son and didn't know I was there. She's always sweet and patient, especially with kids who are having a rough morning. My son is talkative and not afraid to speak his mind if something's wrong. If there was ever anything off, my son would be the first to tell me if Ms. Jackie was not nice. Even in the older kids' classrooms, the staff and teachers are friendly, nice, and acknowledges you during drop off/pick-ups. They make sure the children are happy and well taken care of. Holiday activities are awesome, and the kids have tons of fun during the Halloween parade and Xmas concert. Also, since lunch is provided, it's less stress the mornings for me! The staff treat you like family, and really get to know your child individually. Shayvon and her staff at LDCA are great! My daughter has been going to LDCA since she was 3 months old, she is now 2.5. The staff, each and everyone of them, loves her like their family and she loves them as well. In fact, she let's Teacher Nicole and Teacher Ari comb her hair yet fights with me when I try. So, not only do they provide great child care, they are also good and patient hairstylists. =) For Christmas and her birthday she received gifts from each individual person there. Teacher Makenna and my daughter have a special and playful bond as well. It is quite clear that LDCA staff are passionate about their job! The other families at LDCA are quite active. We have birthday parties with goodie bags, special food, and decorations. There are children of all races/ethnicities at LDCA so my daughter is getting the cultural exposure my husband and I want her to have. LDCA is a small organization with a huge heart! read more

Hands down best daycare! My daughter is so excited when I drop her off she literally jumps out of my arms, and the way Shayvon and the teachers embrace her lets me know she's loved protected and cared for in my absence. I just love the themes for holidays and spirit week and how they send home the cute projects they've been working on! As a first time mom Shayvon understood my anxieties and relieved them all with intentional communication and updates. You can literally feel the warmth and positive energy radiating from all the staff which is very important to me. We're super blessed to have found LDCA, especially during this pandemic I feel very safe sending my daughter there because they take all the precautions to ensure cleanliness and safety. 5 months she's been attending and not a single daycare cold, that's a win for me! read more

There are truly no words to describe our experience at LDCA because it was extraordinary! My son attended LDCA for almost 2 years and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff and teachers really care about the children and their needs. My son grew so much in the care of Shayvon and her team, and I could not thank all of them enough. Shayvon communicates with you about the progress of your child frequently and consistently, which I really appreciated. Lastly, Shayvon had so much patience with my son. When he first started, it was a difficult transition for him, and none of the staff ever complained. Instead, they gave me ideas to try at home with my son, and it worked! LDCA has been a great additive to our toddler's life! Since joining, she has flourished cognitively. She has learned a few key words in ASL; Which helps us to understand her better. At LDCA positive reinforcements are a main component. Our daughter enjoys the safe, welcoming environment which eases our minds. That first meeting really stuck with me, and it made me feel good about choosing L&P Montessori for my son. Ms. Norma, Ms. Karima, and Ms. Ava have been amazing. They go out of their way to make every child feel comfortable and cared for. My son can be a handful; he's energetic, can be wild at times, and is very selective about the people. They have been nothing but patient and kind with him. I want to comment about Ms. Jackie because I recently saw a negative review about her, and it made me really sad to see what was written about her. It's tough to see something like that written about someone, knowing that words like those can really hurt a person's character and reputation. I've never seen any of the behaviors mentioned in the negative review but only kindness from Ms. Jackie, even the times I would drop off my son and didn't know I was there. She's always sweet and patient, especially with kids who are having a rough morning. My son is talkative and not afraid to speak his mind if something's wrong. If there was ever anything off, my son would be the first to tell me if Ms. Jackie was not nice. Even in the older kids' classrooms, the staff and teachers are friendly, nice, and acknowledges you during drop off/pick-ups. It's a place where I know my son is safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm so glad we found Learn and Play Montessori.

The teachers organize a variety of well-planned activities and events throughout the year for both US and Chinese holidays. Our family enjoys participating in these events, and we appreciate the many photos and videos shared with parents afterward to capture the memories. Another great feature of Little Tree is the optional lunch program. For $6 a day, they provide a tasty, nutritious, and balanced meal, which is one less thing for me to worry about.

The second my son walked in the door, he was off playing, without hesitation. Cherysse wanted to have my son (2 1/2) start by just coming and meeting the kids, then staying a few hours, and finally working up to a full day. She wanted him to feel comfortable and unafraid. Well, the first day we showed up, she ended up allowing him to stay the whole day, because each time I tried to take him home, he cried because he wanted to stay with his new friends. Cherysse and her two teaching assistants are truly some of the most special people I've ever met. They love what they do, and it shines. Other than my family, they are the only people that I trust with my children. Cherysse is always available to talk, whether in person, on the phone, text, or email. I have always felt comfortable talking to her about anything regarding my son. I trust 10000% my son is getting the most love and care he could be, outside of being with me, his dad, or grandma. We have two energetic little boys, and both have grown and thrived in the care of Fahi, Nadia, Anahita, and the other teachers. The teachers know each child very well (benefits of a small school) - their likes, dislikes, allergies, and routines. I also really appreciate the emphasis on teaching the kids independence, love of learning, and care for their environment and friends. Our kids learned great habits like cleaning up their space, sharing with others, and focusing on activities they choose themselves. When our older son began TK, it was clear that Happy Day had prepared him very well, both educationally and socially, for that experience. We also had to get a little broom so he could sweep up at home, something he definitely learned from the teachers and not from us! And finally, I just want to appreciate the warmth and compassion the teachers always show, which sets the tone for the whole community. We've enjoyed getting to know the other Happy Day families at school events, and it's so fun to see the kids running around like a bunch of ducklings at birthday parties. She is now 4.5 years old is has been thriving there. What helped us choose Sunshine over other schools is it that it is play-based. You won't see kids mindlessly doodling on worksheets. Children are engaged in learning colors, letters and number concepts through singing, stories, art and use of manipulatives. What more, is that while children are learning the academics they are having so much fun! They really promote a love for learning. Even more important, at least in my view, is that Sunshine is creating great little citizens by continually fostering social skills such as sharing and positive conflict resolution. The four teachers there are amazing! I am in awe of how patient and kind they treat each of the children. I was initially worried about my somewhat shy daughter transitioning, however, she took immediately to Miss Heather and now says they are all her favorite ;) Sunshine is really a community of amazing parents, children and teachers. We have made some great friendships which I expect to continue even after my daughter graduates this summer. Some pertinent info about Sunshine: Attendance can vary from part time to full time M-W 8AM-5:30PM with tuition based accordingly. Children who stay for the afternoon bring their lunches. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. I think breakfast is provided for those that get there around 8AM. I have yet to perfect getting out the door before 8:30 with two kids. :) Tuition is very reasonable in comparison to similar schools. The site is located across from Alvarado park, very close to the beginning of the Arlington, a short distance from the freeway. We commute from El Sobrante and it takes ~10 minutes.

Our son still attends, and he often chooses to go even on days when we offer to let him stay home with mommy. There are frequent field trips, potlucks, and children's birthday parties, so we feel like we've gotten to know the families here much more than we would at another school. I am consistently blown away by the teachers and the joy they bring to school. They recently found a wandering African side-neck turtle on their doorstep, and my son came home full of stories about it. They turned it into the East Bay Vivarium, but took pictures and turned the whole process into a learning experience. Children here feel safe and loved and heard and I cannot dream of a better place for my children.
