I've witnessed her arguing with several parents on different occasions in her front office or at parent meetings. She feels her word of mouth communication style is best for safety of children, but they are understaffed and Tanya is very unprofessional with the way she speaks to parents. My son was illegally unenrolled without notice the next day after a sour conversation where I was disrespected and condescended by Tanya Davis for asking legitimate concerns about the location of an after school event and receiving or not receiving proper notice for the event and location. She stated this was not a good fit for us and because I was talking about her behind her back with another parent was the reason my son was being kicked out. The parents here should talk to each other to see what's going on. The teachers are great, but the updates are received too late in the day usually only for meals. Do not send your children here if you do not want a good look into their day and want to receive a negative attitude from the director at drop off and dismissal.

This is a long overdue review; however, it gave me time to put my emotions aside and formulate a…read morefactual, to-the-point review of my very negative experience with Primrose Schools of Solon. Upon first visiting Primrose, I was incredibly impressed with the new, clean environment. Everything was up to date, security was on point, and things appeared very sanitary. The director at the time was very kind and knowledgeable, and she did a great job selling me on all of the reasons why Primrose would be a great fit for my daughter. I felt good about the decision, and a few days later gave my deposit for her to start when there was an opening - which they promised would be no later than end of September. End of September came and went, and no word from Primrose. We came to find out that the director I had spoken with had left, and we were completely forgotten about. Red flag #1. Once I finally got through to them and had my daughter start, it was one issue after another. I specifically asked them not to give my daughter milk. She was given milk on three separate occasions. Each time, I reminded them - both verbally and via handwritten notes. Since she does not drink milk, she was dying of thirst when I picked her up and would suck down her water on the way home. Red flag #2. I was told (and it was documented in paperwork) that a backup lunch is offered if the child does not like what is provided. It was communicated in my daughter's notes three times that she had not eaten any of her lunches. Thankfully, I picked her up before nap, so it was not an issue and she was able to eat when she got home. Red flag #3. In the short time (three months) that my daughter attended, there were not one, not two, but THREE different directors. I understand there is turnover in the childcare industry, but WOW. Something is obviously very wrong! Red flag #4. And finally, the last, and most notable occurrence. I wrote up an email outlining all of these issues and sent it to the franchise owner, Jana Massary. She took her time getting back to me and let me know that she had "several meetings" and would be back in touch with me later that day. From the moment she called me, I knew it was going to be a bad interaction. She was incredibly rude, demeaning, and, quite frankly, the exact opposite of the type of person you would want caring for your children. She issued zero apologies for anything we had gone through, and proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of the conversation. I would say that she's someone that clearly can't take negative feedback, but what I provided her were straight facts and experiences that we had while my daughter was in their care. It is clear that I would advise anyone and everyone from choosing somewhere other than Primrose. There is nothing "warm" about the school, and it is clear that it stems directly from the leadership. It is no wonder that teachers are electing to leave at such a rapid pace, and from what I've heard, families as well.

Every single time I go in there to pick up my daughter, there are multiple babies red in the face, basically choking they are crying so hard with no acknowledgement from the staff. I understand that they can't tend to babies every time they cry right away, but there is NO EXCUSE to why they are being completely ignored and neglected for over 10 minutes while I am there. The staff don't even pretend they care when I am around, so I wonder what happens when none of the parents are around. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first couple times as I know it is a hard job to be caring for multiple babies, but I have more children in full time daycare and have NEVER experienced anything like this before. My child's first day there, she got scratched in the face "by a friend". How are you allowing the babies that can crawl and walk to be around my newborn long enough to claw her in the face? No Cameras, No Accountability…read more My child was enrolled in the Newborn room at Heights One World from April 2021-January 2022. During that span of time, we picked him up to discover two serious injuries that were not disclosed to us by an incident report or phone call. The first incident was a dislocated left elbow which took place in June when he was only 7 months old. There was no explanation as to how or when it happened, but it was clear that our child was distraught and completely not using one arm until we got it x-rayed and a doctor popped his elbow back into place. This type of injury is not uncommon, but it is caused by being picked up inappropriately by the arms instead of the armpits. We were told by the teachers and administrators that our child would be safe there and that additional care would be provided to ensure that nothing like that would happen again. Looking back, we deeply regret not withdrawing him at that point because the second incident was significantly worse. In January, when our son was 14 months old, we arrived at the daycare and could hear him crying in a very painful, unusual way. We had never seen him like this before. When we asked about what happened, we were told that the crying started after one floating teacher/aide was left alone with him to change his diaper. This person was also present/in the room when the first incident happened. After taking him to the doctor and getting him x-rayed, we discovered that his right arm was fractured. We were not only concerned for our child's safety, but the safety of other children. We contacted the police to file a report and then contacted the daycare administrators to provide a written record of the information that we knew thus far. We had so many unanswered questions and requested a meeting. Their response, prior to learning about law enforcement being contacted, was essentially that if there is no incident report then there was no incident however, they would meet with us. They claimed to have interviewed with the teachers in the Newborn room and the information had changed from what was said to us the day we picked him up and what was said to us via text messages, to now a new story that protected the daycare staff from being implicated. Instead of showing concern for our child's wellbeing, they were incredibly defensive. Then, after the investigation began, the administrators contacted us again to say that they would no longer be interested in a meeting or resolution with us. That kind of behavior would be shocking and disturbing to any parent. It reinforced the need for us to trust our gut as we did to get the authorities involved. Our son was put in a cast for two weeks (as shown in the photo) and upon getting it removed, struggled to begin crawling again. He continues to have a trauma response anytime he is up on a traditional changing table because that is most likely how/where he fell and broke his arm. I truly appreciate how quickly the local police department, state licensing agency, and CPS responded to this case. We knew that without cameras in the facility or employees that are willing to tell the truth, it would be hard to get answers. The person directly responsible for causing harm to our child has not come forward, but the case is still open. If you have any information that could be relevant to this case, please reach out to us. I continue to look back on the experience and just wish it didn't have to come to this. If they had cameras installed after the first incident, this could have been avoided. Still to this day, they do not have cameras which says a lot about how seriously they're taking these claims and striving to do better. Be better! For the safety of our kids. While I feel sadness and empathy for how truthful this review is, it is not done with ill will or malice. Parents that are looking for a safe place for their children are looking for honesty in order to have an informed opinion.
