These are not subcontractors with tons of other jobs all happening simultaneously. He hand picked these workers, who are masters in their fields. What this means is, that team showed up early every morning. They worked hard and wasted no time. They are experts at what they do and they take pride in the job they perform. Harley treats your job like he is working on his own house. This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. I was fortunate enough to see some of their handiwork at an event held in the yard of someone who had previously discovered them. Hearing about what that space had looked like before and seeing the magical landscape that had been created there, I knew my wife and I needed to meet Nick Lake. Since then, he and his fantastic team have completely transformed our outside space into the most beautiful part of our home. Nick is an absolute treasure trove of inspiration and information. From the moment we first met with him, we knew we wanted to proceed as soon as possible. We didn't have pressing issues that made landscaping work an "emergency" (e.g., no water problems directly related to the yard), so an outside project easily could have waited. We also did not have a high level of horticultural knowledge, nor did we even know exactly what we wanted when we first started talking to Nick. We knew our yard had "potential", i.e. it was a smallish but not tiny, pretty drab space that wasn't particularly functional and wasn't much to look it. It was our conversation with Nick and his vision for the yard that made us want to move forward at that time and turn it into something great. Since then, with a combination of "demo" work, mulching, softscaping and hardscaping, every aspect of our yard has become a thing of beauty that we see and enjoy every single day. Throughout the process, Nick and his team have worked closely with us on every decision and every detail. Nick plays an integral role in all parts of the process and communication with him and his team has always been easy, fun, rewarding, and thorough. There have never been any surprises in terms of cost or how something was done. As a result, everything is exactly what was discussed and we could not be any happier with it. Nick certainly deserves the lion's share of the credit as the owner of the business, the mastermind behind the work, and a hands-on contributor to the implementation. That said, huge shout out for his entire crew and honorary mention for Tulsi, the smart and adorable dog that might make some appearances if Tashana is working and you give the green light. Every member of the team brings something important to the job, always including hard work but also creativity and individual areas of interest and expertise. The result is frequent flashes of brilliance and pleasant surprises throughout all phases of a project. It isn't a great time of year for pictures as I'm writing this (I'll add more in the spring) but below is a stone bench that took form during one day's work. This was not even part of the original plan, just an off-the-cuff idea (thanks to Kyle, Tommy, Daniel and Tashana if memory serves) to which we could have said "no thanks" if we were that foolish. Even once there are more pictures to add, they can only do so much. Nick knows he is always welcome to swing by and show off the beauty, which keeps getting better with every growth season. Whether we are sitting in the yard, walking through it to get to or from the house, or just staring at it through a window, we count ourselves lucky that this is actually part of our home. I cannot recommend Earth Ecology strongly enough. With Nick and his crew, you will get everything that you wanted and a lot more. As happened for us, you will get done with each step and be so happy that you decided to go for it, and occasionally scratch your head wondering if there is anything else you can do out there. We also had a backyard with a 40 degree slope and was difficult to access and navigate. Both owners Malika & Alex came out and listened to our concerns and shared their vision on how to transform our side yard and backyard slope into something that addressed all our concerns. They even provided one the spot renderings so we could envision what the final outcome would be. I can't begin to explain how they turned our project into something that is showcase quality. Their attention to detail and professionalism is of the highest standards. The crew were respectful of property, genuinely professional and they completed our project in record time. Astounding service, level of knowledge, professionalism, and abilities from Jesus and crew…read more These guys literally moved a mountain for us (grading the yard, putting the hill along the back behind a block retaining wall, and giving us a terraced growing area) and went above and beyond to make sure we were left with a really nice yard. The price was very reasonable for the originally planned work, but in the end it turned out to be a great value for everything they did to get it perfect for us. Jesus is extremely nice and approachable, and he was excellent with communication and check-ins. As soon as they finished the backyard landscaping job today, I signed another contract for them to do our fencing, and we're planning on having them back to improve our sprinkler system next Spring.

We hired Wild Oasis for a complex and challenging landscaping job that several others had either…read morepassed on or seemed stumped by. From the beginning, Alex (the owner) impressed us with his thoughtful planning, clear communication, and confident approach to a destroyed yard: a post-construction disaster zone wherein our entire quarter-acre plot of land was turned into a pit of uneven, impacted mud. Our project involved building a retaining wall, grading, improving drainage, and hauling away a large dump truck of poor quality fill dirt. It was a tough job, but they handled it with incredible professionalism and skill from start to finish. Not only did they tackle the hard work with skill and efficiency, but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right--down to the last detail, suggesting water timers and tripod sprinklers that worked well. Their team was professional, and respectful. The dumpster company he hired accidentally knocked over my mailbox. I texted him about it the evening I noticed it; it was replaced by the next morning. Also, Alex genuinely seemed to care about the outcome, calling and later stopping by after a week to check the progress. The end result was even better than we imagined. What was once a sad and frustrating yard is now beautiful, usable, and a joy to spend time in again. We're incredibly grateful for their hard work and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for quality landscaping--especially for projects that are a challenge or too difficult for others.
