She is a bright child in many ways, but we could never seem to get any traction with our many attempts to help her read. We worked with numerous tutors, tried vision therapy and worked many hours with her at home. Eventually we realized that she may have an undiagnosed learning disorder. We are now in our fourth month of tutoring at the READ Learning Center and we are seeing results. The admin and staff are welcoming, supportive and quick to respond to all questions and concerns. We are feeling very grateful for the wonderful people at the READ Learning Center and the great work they are doing for our daughter and others.

He pointed me towards a local organization that did adult diagnosis, but he also encouraged me to navigate Kaiser Permanente's process since that was my health insurance provider. I successfully navigated Kaiser's process which is terrible if you're neurodivergent, but ultimately their Psychiatric team diagnosed me with ASD. First time PT patient!! I've been experiencing neck pain and self-diagnosed myself with 'tech neck'…read moreafter nearly 8 years working a computer job. I got a referral and once that went through, I called to make an appointment. I was able to get one SAME DAY. I came in the afternoon, parking lot was looking full but I was able to snag a spot close to the entrance. I walked in and PT is on the first floor, nice! I got checked in pretty smoothly and I didn't have a co-pay but we will see if I get hit with a bill later down the road. I did not have to wait that long before I was called in, probably less than 3 minutes. I had an evaluation with MF and she was great! Super professional and taught me a handful of stretches and movements to perform. She felt my neck, checked my mobility, and watched how I would work from home standing. MF gave me a lot of tips and printed out a sheet so that I can reference when I'm at home. She gave me all the tools; now it's on me to change my posture and tight pec muscles. I hope that I don't need to come back to PT because hopefully, I take everything that MF taught me and implement it into my daily routine and create a routine for myself. I think it's important to do a PT visit because we can get lost on the internet just doing random arm stretches or buying a neck massager when we really need to stretch our chest, build upper back muscles, and work on our posture. I had about four therapy sessions with him. I think Chad is an excellent therapist. Two days ago, I started a lower back therapy evaluation session with Dale Woolley. Even though it was the first therapy session but he squeezed in some exercises for me, and sent me home with a program to practice, in video and email as well. He's an awesome therapist and he has great advices on how to handle my lower back pain.

It's nice to find a teacher that truly loves kids and loves what she does. I think she is a genius because she knows multiple languages and is super talented. As COVID has progressed we went to telehealth which has been even more amazing, because instead of working with just my child, they helped me understand the techniques and implement them. I tell our aba therapist what we have been struggling with and she provides us with a strategy to implement. We have made so much progress in 9 months.our therapist has been literally my rock and my angel she has helped both me and my daughter through the difficult challenges of ASD. My daughter who once ran off in the store and refused a cart now sits in the cart nicely or walks and holds my had without running away. She brushes her teeth, tolerates more food on her plate, and has come follow 2 step instructions, and so much more. They are not rigid in their techniques or forceful which I love. I am so thankful for the square one staff ans reccomend them to any parent looking for an aba company.

I am disappointed to see that the 1:1 aids with training will be layed off. The untrained staff will be a substitute for qualified assistance for the disabled at this district. It is the steps we take that open and shut doors. The school district has made a decision that may lead toheart breaking outcomes for the disabled and their families The non discrimination policy on their website sadly will need new contemplation now , and rewording of its true heart and belief It is the steps we take everyday. The Elk Grove School District does not care about our youth staying active. They are not allowing…read moreyouth football to be at the schools after 10/15 after agreeing to allow it prior to the season starting (and this is the first year in over 10 years they are trying to force us to stop). Now all youth football programs have to scramble to find a place to practice , and soccer has all the parks. This is completely unacceptable and sends the message that they really don't care about our youth or about our youth staying active. They would rather help support youth obesity, encouraging our youth to just stay home and not be active. On top of that we have over 150 families at each program that they are saying oh well we don't care about you or your kids. Just blown away by this district, completely unacceptable.
