I found out today from my insurance provider that this wasn't true at all and it could be authorized without preauthorization use of trying other brands first and that my VA doctors had no issues prescribing that. I Never had to go through the trials and tribulations of slow acting drugs that gave me terrible withdraws. Whether its because this is a major big brand practice and has deals with certain big pharmaceutical companies to prescribe specific medications or for other reasons of the doctors being specific on what they have to recommend, the experience was expensive, frustrating, extremely misleading and unhealthy for the withdraws to not lead anywhere. highly do Not recommended and would conduct further research and choosing any other providers in the area besides them.

I was ultimately advised to slow everything down, which is what I had suggested from the beginning. Psychiatry should not be a one-size-fits-all practice. Clear communication, careful pacing, and individualized care are essential, and that was missing here.
