I had a tear in the leather of the driver's seat and my daughter had basically trashed the right rear area of the car. Anyway, Lexus recommended Leather Menders. That says a lot right there. So, i took my car in, left it over night and went to retrieve it. OMG! I could NOT believe my car. The interior looks new! They did such a fabulous job that i got inspired to fix a tiny dent and some paint scratches that i had had on the exterior for 3-4 years. Now, my vehicle looks fantastic and instead of an aging, gnarly Lexus, i'm sporting a gorgeous new look-a-like. Plus, the boys there are sooo sweet and accommodating. Really happy with the repair of my 2008 accord arm rest. The leather doesn't match perfectly and in hind sight I should have asked to see a sample before the repair was made, but I'm not overly concerned since the car has 100 k+ miles. This is one of the worst customer service experiences in my life!!! They do great leather work but their headliner work is bad. It took them 10 days to do the headliner when it was supposed to take 2 days. Everyday was a different excuse. The funny part is I read the reviews and the same excuses were used a year ago. Once I got the car back, the material used was too thick. They also broke more things in my car including sunroof cover, brake light and cover and etc. I have $400 dollars worth of damage they did to my vehicle. Tammy called 3 months after the work was done with attitude and told me that their work is good. I replied saying that another shop commented that the quality was one of the worse ones he has seen. The kicker is that the guy is a friend of Pauls. If I could give them 0 stars I would. If you value your time and vehicle, don't take it here for be fixed. read more

I took an antique good condition leather high back judge's chair to LM to have the arms recovered. I was quoted a price of $200.00 and the chair to be ready in a week. The chair was not ready until the following week after the promised date of completion. The leather selected to recover the arms was not a close match in color or texture. The workmanship was substandard bordering on shoddy. I noticed that their workshop was a mess and poorly organized, which may have a bearing on their quality of work. LM then presented me with an invoice for $275.00 at which point I reminded them of the agreed-upon price. I paid the $200.00 as agreed but I estimate that LM performed under $100.00 worth of service I Do Not recommend Leather Menders for quality furniture work. read more

I called this place looking to get two leather coats mended. one with a rip at the top corner of the pocket and the other had a rip near the buttonhole. Guy was nice enough, told me to bring them in and he will look at them. I stopped by the place about a week later and the guy vaguely remembered my phone call (i suspect they don't get requests for apparel often) and gave me rough estimates and said they'll be done in about 2 weeks. i filled out my tickets and left. 3 weeks went by, i didn't hear from them that my coats were ready but was in the area and so decided to stop by. They were not done. They were apologetic and with a slew of excuses (weather, volume of work, the guy's leg was in a cast (which it had been 3 weeks prior ) . They said they could be done in 20 minutes if i could wait. i had to be somewhere else so i told them i'd be back. i stopped by 2 hours later. not done. more new excuses. asked me to come back. i came back a half hour later. still not done. at this point i was extremely frustrated and just took my coats back as the whole point was to have them ready for an overseas trip. absolutely crappy customer service, excuse after excuse, just a lot of BS. would never take anything else there again and would recommend against using the business. can't even believe they are in business based on the way they operate. read more

I was completely dissatisfied with Leather Menders and can not recommend them based on my experience. First of all the shop is difficult to find even with Google maps and a GPS because they have no signage outside. It took almost 3 weeks to do a simple couch cushion repair that they said would take one week. The work is completely shoddy and looks like they spent 30 seconds on it. The stitching was very crooked, the fabric was not cut evenly or straight, they used tan stitching on a dark brown cushion, which should have been matched brown, and they left messy glue on the fabric. I paid way too much for something I could have done better myself without any experience in upholstery repair. read more

i just had some leather repair done at this shop. i had 2 leather panels replaced on my bmw sport seats, and they did a fantastic job.. looks new and looks factory. i also had my arm rest repaired nad it looks fantastic. the repair was relatively cheap, but replacing the 2 leather panel was not. however, it was money well spent, now my seat is going to look good for 5+more years! love it! read more

Flexible and customer oriented is how I would describe Leather Menders. I went there to have a seat upholstered (more on that later), but the best part of the experience was when I went to pick up my truck and discovered it wouldn't start. It was bitterly cold and windy, yet Paul, the owner, helped troubleshoot the problem as a bad battery terminal, then fixed it in the freezing cold. How many folks will go that extra mile to help out a customer in a bind? Didn't ask for money or anything either. Ok, back to the seat upholstery job...I picked up a non-functioning leather driver's seat from the junkyard to replace the torn/ripped upholstery on my seat. They gave me a reasonable quote for the labor and gave me a deal on the extra seat. I was impressed with their business flexibility and savvy. I recommend Paul and Rafael highly. read more

These are great. I had them do a few repairs on my 2005 Infinity G35 sedan. Had a thin crack in the dash, the linings on the door interiors that came loose, and my driver's seat was all dry and cracked. Everything they did came out beautifully, will absolutely use them again. read more

This was my third time to Leather Menders over many years, and they were as amazing as ever. Paul runs a first-rate business. He and his assistant should have been doctors; they performed incredible surgery on my 11-year old Subaru and made the interior door panel look like new, repairing nine ugly tears. LM's dye matched perfectly, and the rips are nowhere to be found, all for a price I could afford (and the bonus of increased trade-in value). The car I took to them in the 1990s was a Mercedes. I can vouch that they deliver the same excellent service no matter what kind of car you drive. Because LM is the best in the business, the shop is busy, but don't worry: they respond to your questions, keep their appointments, abide by their promises, and take the time to give every customer individualized attention. read more

These guys are great. Casual but great. When they say they'll "take care of it," they do. Be very clear about your timing needs. They are often backlogged with jobs (which is a good thing I believe) so communication is critical. Although the various things I've taken to them might have been a little while in getting back to me (I live out of town, so this isn't exclusively the guys' fault), I have been overjoyed at the quality of the work over a wide range of products. I've taken them small clean-up repairs and cleaning and then super-duper high-end stuff. They do everything VERY well! And since they are experts and artists in the area of leather, allow them the time they need to do what they do. You won't find a better shop than Leather Menders. (Thanks, guys.) read more

Leather Menders does great work. I tore up a leather headrest on my car thanks to a palm tree leaf that I was taking to a dumpster and was quoted over $220 from the dealer for a new one. Leather Menders made it look virtually EXACTLY like new for $125, and did it in one business day. Ask them to see the before and after of my shredded Acura headrest--it will do the selling! I have used Leather Menders on several vehicles in the past, fom old truck to high end sports car. The prices are reasonable, he always offered a variety of prices depending on if I wanted to replace/repair with real leather (which ain't cheap) and the results could not have been better or me happier....hence the phon enumber look up.......repair number 7 going to them on next Monday. I was referred to this business through a local furniture repair shop. Leather Menders was lightning fast in responding to my phone request about my leather couches. I purchased a used sofa set from Craigslist that needed repair work. I appreciated that the technician was honest about the expected outcomes that would be done within my budget limits. My 2010 Accord leather seats were completely ruined from the rain on my lease car. I read the reviews and I was a skeptic going to these guys but really had no choice .I didn't get a good vibe on the phone,but I expected that with a few of the reviews, but thought I really need good work, don'rt really care if they have awesome personalities. Boy, am I glad I did! My seat looks just out of the factory! They were fast and efficient and quite pleasant in helping me with any advice and insurance issues. If you are on a time crunch, I can see the potential for delays and problems, in fact if they say a few days, I would give them a week or two, but only because they are in high demand and try to please everyone, at the expense of understating time frames. I've got mixed reviews here. I have taken several briefcases to them to be repaired in the past. The first couple of times, I had decent service, so didn't hesitate to take another to them to be worked on. I dropped this briefcase off at their store on a Wed or Thurs two weeks ago. They said they would call me to quote cost for repair. The following week on Tues having not heard from them yet, I called to get quote. They said they would have to call me back because person who would be repairing was away. Wednesday, I called - got quote and told it would be ready Friday. I called Friday to see if it would be ready - they said no, hadn't gotten part, it would be Monday. I called Monday - it would be today - called today to check on it - they said it was out in car w/ owner (who was going to the airport) and he would be stopping to match the part on his way back. I was going to get it and try to do it myself - I probably could. I will not take anything back - they had me satisfied for a while and then blew it to pieces taking almost 2 weeks to put in a screw to secure the handle on this briefcase (in same place they had fixed it before). read more

Absolutely terrific customer service and first class work! I took my 1999 Mercedes SLK in to have the driver's seat repaired as the leather had cracked and split badly. While talking to Rafael, he noticed that my interior console, dash and doors were badly scraped and offered that they could fix that as well. I had been trying to find someone to do that work so happily added it to be done. The car was ready exactly on time, 3 days later, however, because it was late on a Friday, I could not pick it up. Paul offered to come in on Saturday, a day they are normally closed, and deliver the car. The car's interior looks brand new! Paul noticed that the driver's door panel was not properly secured and offered to fix that on the spot. This is work Mercedes would have charged $300 to perform. The job took an hour, but Paul refused further payment. I couldn't be more impressed with an operation that does what it says it will do for a fair price, and goes out of its way to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

i bought a 2010 Cadillac with 10000 miles on it and noticed what i thought was leather peeling off the front seats, i was visiting Austin at the time and went to leather menders for some advise, they were very helpful and knowledgeable so much so that they effected a repair that was outstanding and brought the seats back to new condition at very- very reasonable price. could not be more delighted definitely recommended read more
