The second time involved the removal of a large tree in our front yard that had to be removed because it blocked a sewer line trench project. The crew came early and it was done in no time, including the stump grinding. They used the woodchips to repack the hole and bring it back up to ground leve. I would recommend them for simple and complex tree projects.

Steve worked safely and had what appeared to me to be well maintained equipment. In fact, he did some sharpening before he started. He wore appropriate safety gear and put up a portable barrier to catch flying wood chips. The task was challenging due to an internet cable running very close by, a very close oak tree that we didn't want hurt during the removal of a pine stump, and then a medium size evergreen that needed to be undamaged during the removal of a giant white pine stump. As far as I can tell, he succeeded in protecting all. After the work, Steve did a very good job of cleaning up with both a blower to clean our drive and the edge of the street as well as careful raking. There is a significant extra cost to have him haul the chips so I chose to leave them and they ended up on garden paths. Price: Fair in my mind. It matched other quotes in previous years although I thought the cost to remove chips was high. Communication: The tree service said a stump grinder that they recommend would contact me. They didn't. I emailed and called two other grinders. There was no reply. I found Steve via an online search. He responded to my voicemail in a couple of hours and was quickly on-site to provide a quote. He was great.

He had the special equipment to make the work productive and extremely safe. They also took care of tree canopy overhang and the two trees stump grinding. He was spot on and timely from the estimate to completing the work in one day. I was very satisfied with the work and value, despite some minor damages which we can take care of myself. Someone from this company came last night sometime in the middle of the night and only plowed about 20 feet of her driveway, even after she moved her car out of the way for them, before the storm came. This left more than 2/3 of driveway in accessible, as well as her main entry, her trash cans, her shed, and back yard. She called to have them rectify this, and was told that without a bulldozer on site they couldn't move the nearly 8' snow bank they made in the middle of her driveway. They offered 1/2 her money back, which hasn't been received, and will continue to plow 1/4 of the driveway for the season. My mother is 72 years old, has health concerns, and is now expected to have no access to garbage cans, her main entry that she uses, and is left with inaccessible areas, should there be an emergency. Under these circumstances, her car is now parked so close to the road it poses a risk to her well being, as well as her vehicle being hit by debris from the larger road plows that will go by. This needs to be corrected, immediately.
