My mother and I brought my dad, who has mobility challenges, to see The Music Man. It was his first time going to the theater in a wheelchair, and we were relieved that the space was accessible and that everyone was kind and accommodating. We were especially lucky to meet the wonderful David Schwartz, who was ushering the show. He truly went above and beyond to make the theater a welcoming and joyful place for us -- helping my dad to his seat, bringing him water, and even assisting us back to our car when an unexpected logistical problem forced us to leave at intermission. My father is still talking about his kindness! We are very grateful for his help and good humor and to the theater for many years of art and joy.

This is a very cool old building and an awesome resource for this town. They bring in a handful of…read morefun and unique shows and occasionally some surprisingly bigger names considering the intimate space. The building itself is currently undergoing some renovations, so hopefully it will be brought into a loving level of care; last I was there the upper floors were closed for construction, the stage needed a new floor, and there was some cracking and peeling in the ceiling. A lot of the shows are largely volunteer run, so it's often a mixed group of community members ushering folks in and taking tickets. So the customer service level ends up being a bit mixed as well. But I've generally had good experiences and found everyone to be accommodating, even if it might sometimes take them a minute to figure things out. Nice spot to see a show, although it is all seating, so maybe not ideal if you want to do some dancing.

The walls are somewhat decorated with art pieces of graduated students which makes it seem like Middlebury really cares about the students. I hope so, this school is expensive. The concert halls are huge and lovely. I came to them to watch the annual Cocoon, the Moth Up's only paid show with talented speakers that tell true stories that hit your heart with tears and laughter. I also had singing lessons in here during my MiddView trip (Vocal Music) although I had absolutely no business being in that trip since I had no experience whatsoever with professional singing but I do like singing. The art museum is free admission, just got to put your bag away in a cubby because art theft is a huge issue. The school has enough money to have legit art on campus. I'm impressed. It's so beautiful in there, my lab partner Michelle and I went in to talk about my sad life and pass time while I was doing laundry. I had my art history class and my music composition class in this building, both utilizing the resources in the building. There are couches everywhere also, so if you want a nice quiet place to study, find yourself here. There's also a food store if you get hungry during the day and find yourself missing breakfast at the dining halls because you can't wake up on time.

We grabbed some maple butter popcorn and soda pop and went into the theater. We thought we were going to be the only ones there on this cold winter evening, boy were we wrong. The people started to gather and we soon realized this is the place to be. The movie was great (Manchester By The Sea) and we had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend a visit.

A quarterly brochure promotes art classes and workshops for teens and adults as well as after-school sessions and vacation art camps for children. Free programs for teens are also offered, as well as exhibition opportunities here at the Mill Gallery and at Stark Hose Firehouse Gallery (in downtown Bennington). These 2 VAE sites also act as performance venues with the Sage Street Mill being home to the popular Basement Music Series. VAE front door Through outreach and private contract work, VAE staff and artists work in the studios with mainstream youth as well as youth-at-risk in residential homes or special school programs. VAE provides art programs offsite to reach local elders, children and their families in housing communities, private schools and Head Start children.

The dance is amazing and I love love Jen, Ashley and Raegan. They are great teachers and great people. They do everything they can to make this a fun place for kids to learn. The classes for the little ones aren't rigid and strict as you would see in some schools, instead they are fun and teach children to listen to music, count their steps and learn the basics to create a foundation for years to come. If you aren't excited and happy to do something why would you want to continue? I guess the thing to understand about BB is this is a family... Not just a place to take a class. I am so lucky that I grew up in the Broadway Bound community. I learned things like teamwork and bonded with the people I danced with for the rest of my life. If you're looking for more than you'll find at the other studios in Merrimack have to offer you'll find it at BB.
